  1. “Yeah, all ready,” Redatrick said, hppping forward. *^* From the distant bushes, approached four men. They looked around, and saw one figure ahead. Red, their enemy. Here. Now. They smiled.
  2. Unfortunately Someone is unavailable right now but I can answer it if you want.
  3. Lusk followed her eyes, and looked to the waiter who’d entered, the smell of smoke prominent. He looked to her again. “Homework. Excerise a bit, so next time you age you’re strong. I’ll be back here in maybe a couple days.” He got up and aged to thirty, then tapped the Waiter on the shoulder. “You want to fight outside? You seem like an easy one to beat.”
  4. Max nodded. “I’ll be off then.” He smiled and kissed her quickly, then went off to the Canton.
  5. I think it would be cool if we had a more localised setting. I think people forget moons are huge! And so are planets and especially all the space between them. I really like the idea of a single gas giant, and a bunch of habited moons around it (cyberpunk) and then space opera in between the gaps, which would be a primary setting on its own. I really like that idea. Nice and localised, but vast enough you can do stuff. And of course, different places can explore different parts of sci fi. I’m all for Dapper’s idea. Plus, it would make a cool map.
  6. Thanks. Anyway, off from this quite limiting conversation (ba dum tiss for the pun), I think theme songs are a great way to get the theme of a character, even though I haven’t got a theme song for any of them. It’s just hard to think of some ;-;
  7. I was actually thinking of retiring the Haunt just now but I’ll see if I’ll make him more active. You said those on the other side of the world don’t count, does that mean they don’t factor into the character limit. Because Red’s going there, Lusk’s going to die, and I’ll see what to do with the Haunt, which leaves me with 2-3 character slots once all that happens. Seems fine to me
  8. He was one of the spirits who gave himself a name. Levi. The name he shared between all his husks, the thing keeping himself, his identity. Levi. He didn’t know what it meant, but he’d taken it from an Italian husk and had held onto it ever since. Levi. It sounded nice, Levi decided as he killed another man.
  9. I already know what my character is going to be. He’s the guardian of a little, maybe 3 month old baby who’s also one of the most powerful Rusters he’s seen. He’s a Grit, and he’s trying to get the baby to a safe place where no one can hunt it down.
  10. “At home? Or back here, if you want.”
  11. Character time!
  12. Lusk smiled. “If I wanted to forget something, I can always order amnesiacs from my GB underlings. I don’t drink to forget. I drink ‘cause I like drinking. Even when I was your age I was drinking. It’s fun.” He rubbed his eyes again. “What, you think I’ve got some sort of trauma I want to hide? Not everyone has things like that, Freedom Acute.”
  13. Max shook his head. “I don’t need to do anything, though if you want to rest, I can do my stuff at the Canton and then meet you in the evening?”
  14. The surgeon finished and Althea looked more relaxed. Max sighed in relief and walked over to her, and cut her restraints with Sethramir. “I don’t give a storm what Lusk would think of me,” he said to the surgeon, and tried to help Althea up. “You feel fine?” He asked.
  15. That piqued Lusk’s curiosity. He doubted anything could get more private than the last question. “What is it? It might not be as private as you think?” Hopefully it wasn’t that dreaded question everyone asked him: “why are you so grumpy?” He hated when that question got asked. “Come on now, I might even answer it.” *** Alask exited out of a private parlour, and exited the tavern. He had things he needed to do.
  16. As the Kandra woman ran, Csilen looked to his constables with cold eyes. “I want her followed, and this time, don’t resist shooting any of them up at first sight. The time for negotiation is over.” He had to speak louder to make himself heard. The thing about storing Connection, is that it stored people’s awareness of you. A person could look over you, and if you were storing enough, they would probably ignore you anyway, even if they were looking for you. So while the constables followed his orders, Csilen took a different, sneakier route to the lake.
  17. “Well, for one, look at me now. I’m not exactly model in terms of health, especially since I relied so much on my previous ages I never bothered to take care of my current one. And also...” There was another reason. Another bullet, another gun. Just one point to the head, it’ll all be over. And the world wouldn’t have to put up with him anymore. The best 50th birthday yet. “Also nothing. Any other questions you want to pry into my life with?”
  18. “I know,” Max said quietly. It wasn’t easy for him either, to see her strapped to a table, in pain. And yet Max couldn’t Riot the surgeon, the distraction of emotion probably would have made the surgery more painful than anything. So he stepped a little closer and summoned Sethramir. It glowed in the dim light. He wasn’t actively threatening the surgeon, but he was making a statement. Continue and this sword goes in you. And by the look on Max’s face, the surgeon knew Max wasn’t joking. Max doubted Brashen would care either if the surgeon died in a “work accident”. But it was a bluff. Ultimately the surgeon was the one keeping Althea from death, which meant he had them in his power, not the other way around. But hopefully he didn’t realise that till he was done.
  19. Csilen turned. He was currently storing Connection, so to anyone around him he would appear distant, cold. And he was. But he recognised this person somewhat, who he’d been chasing earlier before she’d gone to the roof. “They’ve evaded capture multiple times,” Csilen said. “And are charged with a multitude of illegal activities we can’t let continue. And as you were last seen with them, I’m afraid we’ll need you for questioning.” The constables moved in unison, trying to surround her in a circle.
  20. “I tried that,” Lusk said. “And in most cases it works. But then when you age back to normal you have the injury like it was fresh, so it has its downsides.” He didn’t mention the look that had passed over her face just briefly when he’d cut himself. PTSD. He sighed. Kids were too rusting young to have PTSD. “And one more thing,” he said, aging to 18 to explain it better. “One day you’ll be like me, where you’ll have to tap Atium to get to most, ages, not store. “When that time comes, be prepared. Over my life, I’ve been overweight, fit, skinny, and good at different things. Over your life, make sure there’s variety in your body and your skills, so when your my age, you can tap more efficiently. The older you get, the less you can extrapolate your age and the more it becomes set. That is all.”
  21. Sure, Max said. Brashen was cool. Logical, just like Althea, but he was nice to be around. And yes, I’m staying. After seeing the way the surgeon had looked at Althea and him, Max wasn’t going to go anywhere. He continued Rioting Althea, if there was any pain hopefully she’d be eased of it, and sat on a chair.
  22. Max nodded, feeling her arm. He was still worried for her, but he knew it was irrational. She could heal, and they’d be near surgeons in moments. “Yes,” Max said. “Let’s be quick. You might get an infection if that goes unhealed for too long,”
