  1. I'm pretty sure all gems are invested, just like I'm pretty sure all metals are invested in... Scadrail, was it? (I pay more attention to SA, and thus Roshar, than any other worlds/series/books...)
  2. I'm pretty sure Skybreakers have the gravity surge. Which soul will be severed? The Shardblade (which basically is a soul) or Nightblood (which is a soul and a sword)? WoB. He probably can't be Lashed, like Kaladin, when imbued with Stormlight. I'm pretty sure they'd conflict. Besides, Szeth now knows that Kaladin can do that, and is used to quick changes of gravity. He'll probably be able to account for quick gravity changes. I think he let someone steal Nightblood, but they didn't kill themself.
  3. We should call this letter the "Radiant Letter" (or "Letter of Radiance") and the 'previous' Letter should be called the "Kings Letter" (or "Letter of Kings")
  4. I bet he allowed someone to steal Nightblood, assuming they'd kill themself, but they survived with the sword. So he lost it. Then he said, "Colorful Stormfather, that's bad." and turned into Zahel.
  5. If she has the transportation surge, for all we know she transported the knife into some (dead?) body and blood (from that person?) onto her. And then transported away at the end.
  6. I just realized something. It's probably possible to summon a Shardblade - one you own, of course - a decent distance away from you. I say this because if there is something on your hand, the Shardblade will still summon. It will just summon the necessary distance away from your hand itself. So - not that it would provide too much of a tactical advantage other than summoning it tip-down above someone's head to kill them - it should be possible to summon a Blade somewhere other than in your hand. Feet away from you, perhaps, to do as I said above? Not as useful in battle, but… well, for assassinations I see little to no flaws. Are there any?
  7. I'm a slow reader. I really am. But I made... conclusions. I just got to where and reading about spanreeds got me thinking... What if you used the same kind of gemstone, but instead of linking it to two reeds, you linked it to a sword and a stick. To be more specific, a storming Shardblade. You could pick up your stick (while standing somewhere with a decent view of a battlefield, with moving room), and fight whole armies. Without even being too close to them all. Then again, there is the whole "invested VS invested" thing. May not work, idk.
  8. If there are "Renarin reveals" he ain't dead. Nor is he a she. Dalinar, at the very least, would know. What with being his father and all. Hmm...
  9. I already am. Mwahahahaha! On a more serious note, "Everything" is capitalized. Why?
  10. Guys, this is Szeth. I have literally no doubt about it. The tone, the sadness behind those words; the longing. Szeth is losing in the fight against the Runner of the Wind. And he is sad that he is not at home.
  11. Has anyone realized any portions of tWoK that basically give massive hints as to what happens in WoR, but most pay little attention to? For example, in tWoK, there's a paragraph about if Shallan was accepted as a ward to Jasnah... This is, quite ironically, exactly what is assumed and planned to happen.Any other things like this?
  12. Hmm... Who is obsessed with themself and talks about themself in the third person?
  13. She doesn't have to see them. She just has to have drawn them at one point in time.
  14. Why wo— oh. Weeping Angels. Hahahahahhaha! I was a bit slow....
  15. Haha, yeah. But he can't actually hit the illusion... and Shallan would likely need to draw whoever in many different poses to be able to make the illusion look like it was actually moving. Right?
  16. If it were the first time, Shallan would not be saying "less" handsome.
  17. I'll assume this was the Battle for Renarin. And guys... If this were a duel, I doubt he would have punched "a lot of people". I am certain this is Shallan's POV. EDIT: Lol Binnut, we have the same amount of upvotes. Happened not to long ago with Grayv...
  18. Now, we know that Kaladin and Shallan are Surgebinders. We also know that Kaladin could do with a sparring partner, and, as stated in one of the preview chapters, that partner should be one of equal or greater skill/strength. Well, that'd be hard to do, but perhaps he could spar with Shallan—sort of, anyway—and she could practice her lightweaving powers too. By making light replicas of herself holding... ...a Shardblade, perhaps? Be extra tricky to find out who the real one is. He couldn't just let the swords fly, because if it were real he'd die.
  19. For some reason I originally read that as biscuits.
  20. I know... but Renarin (presumably) dies....
  21. I preordered the kindle version so I can get it right away. Might buy a paperback version though.
  22. I'm still stuck where Renarin dies... And you guys are talking about a feather?
  23. Nah. Renarin dies. This is definitely right before (or perhaps after) Dalinar stands under a fracturing sky, holding his son. Renarin. Renarin, as he dies, uses his powers. And thus he inhales stormlight. And so you know what? He glows and heals. And thus he lives. Methinks I was trippple ninja'd. When your ninja'd, does someone have to post what you're posting at the same time, or just something/anything?
  24. This is Adolin, finally coming to terms that he's in love with a Parshendi.
