  1. I mean technically Era 4 is going to be a space opera era, so it makes sense that the seeds are planted back in Era 2.
  2. I'm pretty sure it works the same as anything else, because Cognitively, it is separate and dead already. I can see the confusion (I was the confusion a while ago).
  3. Yep! Same thing as what happens to any other dead matter that comes into contact with a Blade.
  4. Whatever it cuts through the core of, severing it from the lifeflow of the rest of the body, it kills. Could it kill a single finger? Yeah. Is that likely to happen? Nope. As to where the limb stops, it's probably a combination of where it joins with something else and thus is something else, helped along by Cognitive impressions. At least those are my understandings of those functions, someone correct me if I'm wrong.
  5. Good news for you, then! She tried to get her legs healed already, off-screen, before the Vault thing. She mentions it to Vstim, saying it was "too late." I would have loved to see the interaction with Renarin, though.
  6. Because that's just the way it be sometimes. But, really, it's probably because of the relationship of rarity there, where for the first while, when the magic is more of a "mystical" thing, so is aluminum - incredibly rare, incredibly value, incredibly storied. Then, as technology increases and the magic system becomes more of a science, less of a mystical shenanigan thing, aluminum availability grows as they need it to, due to the increasing ability of the people using the magic to pull things that would otherwise be nearly uncounterable in an otherwise balanced world. The nonmagical people will have a better shot of countering stuff like any other form of warfare.
  7. Could be interesting. We'll see something about Sja-anat intersecting with Shallan's mission thing (unless that took place in the year-gap between 3 and 4), so it's a possibility.
  8. It's aluminum, if I'm thinking about the right one.
  9. The Greeks don't count. Olympus is barely a mountain, more a hill, and isn't hard to climb.
  10. "10 Chrysts. I can do exchange rates, if you need, but since your friend here seems to be paying for you, it shouldn't be an issue," Malu smiled.
  11. Okame grinned. Using Division was always fun. He Lashed them both towards the back wall and burned a hole through it.
  12. "Why put us down? I can make an exit, you know? Up here and everything. Seems like a better idea, yeah?"
  13. "Well, yes, nothing ever ends peacefully or like it's supposed to with you people. Always fighting and chaos and death threats. Just once, I wish something would end in a fashion that doesn't make me wish I stayed at home! I'm done with this party, though, absolutely. Let's go."
  14. Okame Lashed the pair of them directly towards the center of the room and up, vying for potential sight and equal distance from any of the walls, being sure to get distance from the scene that was surely about to erupt.
  15. Warbreaker spoilers here because I just remembered we were in the SA subforum:
  16. We won't find out how they got there until Nightblood releases forever from now, but Zahel/You-Know-Who is there for easy access to his lifesource of Investiture, while Azure is chasing him and Nightblood itself, with a focus on Nightblood. I just want to know why she's after the sword so much. What did she figure out/what did Endowment see that led to this happening? But sadly, I don't think we'll get any of that until Nightblood, which might end up cut anyway.
  17. I'm hoping one of them is Azure or Zahel.
  18. "Hello! Do you want anything to eat or drink?" Malu calls.
  19. Snap. I thought I had it with the Honorblade thing. Good touch, though.
  20. I agree that it's not a romantic relationship. They're closer than that, due to the whole soul-merging thing, but I don't think a relationship there would work.
  21. That's Jezrien's Honorblade, I believe, judging from the ripples. I'm almost tempted to say Oathbringer as well, though. Am I correct on either count, @Braizier?
  22. The tertiary arc could be done somewhat like Szeth's arcs started as - interlude-based.
  23. That was pretty much my thoughts. The payoff to the whole "bounty" thing that was mentioned.
  24. *spear fails to do anything due to immortality granted by being an embodiment of hatred*
