  1. "Lodging? Can't help you, unless you want to stay in one of the parlors upstairs here," Malu chuckled, tucking the chip into his pocket.
  2. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JJtJhHwpKdow01n2-bsT3scVvqJd6lZh4uvpNwcslv8/edit?usp=sharing Enjoy a full cosmere timeline. Spoilers everywhere, though.
  3. "A ruby chip'll do," Malu said.
  4. "There is a library somewhere around here. Probably just up the road. Everything seems to be. A guild of scholars, not so much. Maybe the Keepers or the Diagramists? I wouldn't know where to find either of them." "How stiff are we talking?" Malu asked.
  5. It very well could be. Spoilering this because we're not in the Stormlight forum, so if you haven't read the Stormlight books, don't click this box.
  6. I'm happy he's making such progress. I have no idea how he's managing it, but I'm happy he is.

    Why Return

The Surges are simply a manifestation of forces within the cosmere itself. That's not the part that Honor's magic granted, it was the bond to access them, and Ashyn was close enough to Roshar to get some spillover of Shardic magic anyway.
  8. It won't have an effect on what's outside the body of the aluminum burner, as her natural Investiture will prevent it from doing anything like that. That the reason most of the things don't work, like stores of aluminum preventing emotional Allomancy while a hat would: the Investiture in your body offsets the store's Investiture, cancelling its normal dampening abilities, while a hat is outside your body, the same as where the Allomantic effect is coming from. A savant might be able to modulate her drainrate, in the same way that technically a Feruchemist can draw their abilities into certain portions of their body if they're skilled enough, but we likely won't see savants of the higher metals like that until Era 3 at the earliest.
  9. Hoid was not his original name, so that's a little bit of a dead end with the meanings. He defies human stuff, because he's not technically human anymore. He was at one point, but no longer, per Sanderson's own words. You don't have to worry about rotten fruit. Hoid is an object of endless speculation and we've run everything about him into the ground, but new perspectives are always refreshing and we're always open to them. Or we try to be at least. Plus, as to #6, yes, he is locked into not harming anyone, even himself. That's why he did what he did for his disguise in Oathbringer instead of just doing it himself.
  10. When I buy some (not often), I eat it during the exciting parts, so generally I'm done right as the movie ends.
  11. How would he feel about earth? Let's see...a world full of people who don't think magic exists, with a readily available system in which you can be virtually anyone at any given time without anyone the wiser and without actually leaving where you currently are? He'd love it. That would be hilarious. Also would probably bamboozle TLR and galvanize the skaa still, since it would look like he'd been raptured.
  12. ? It's been like 20 minutes, what were you referring to, @ShardShaper?
  13. Exactly, but I'm not doing the disapproving-of-Moash equivalent of stabbing someone's father in front of them to satisfy petty, somewhat misguided, revenge by attempting to change what other people think of Moash. I have my thoughts, and I defend them, but I don't tell people who are trying to read the series for the first time to hate Moash, and I have no issue with those who like Moash. I just personally don't.
  14. I'm not a character in the book. Moash is. I also do not actively attempt to sway people's opinions on Moash, only defending my own stance. Also, Brandon somewhat agrees. Edit: STORM IT @MacThorstenson YOU BEAT ME TO THE WOB
  15. You're right, Ulim was interesting. He seems so scared of the Fused but he's a spren, what can they actually do to him?
  16. I kind of want to see Turash. I'm not a fan of Leshwi due to proximity to Moash, but Turash's interaction with Odium that we saw from Venli intrigued me.
  17. "Don't get many Elantrians in here, least not as far as I know, but I'm pretty sure they work just fine."
  18. You might get your chance in 4. She was heading to Urithiru in Oathbringer.
  19. Malu turns around and fills a bowl with some (shelless) Rosharan stew and sets it down. "How do Surgebinders get Stormlight? Shenanigans. I honestly don't know. You'd need to ask someone more experienced here than me for that. I've just been working off of my supply in perfect gems for the time I've been here."
  20. I'd yank Elend out before he gets killed. Introduce him to the Internet and let him have some fun in a mostly metal world with his allomancy.
  21. Oh, my bad, I misunderstood. Yeah if she could Connection-hack on the level required to access their magic, she'd be a reasonably skilled Forger.
