  1. Malu chuckled. Watching someone take on more than they were ready for was always the best part of doing this sort of thing. "As far as I'm aware, yes. Haven't gotten told to take it down yet."

    Austere

Oh boy. This is a thing. Odds are, Auster as it is known in Warbreaker is not a Shard. There might be another Shard called Austerity, but I doubt it. Not every Shard has a direct counterpart.
  3. The Sons of Honor just wanted to bring back the Vorin strength by way of Desolation and Heralds. They're pretty much gone now. Also on Roshar is the Envisagers, who were trying to bring back the Knights Radiant and Vorin strength. They might all be dead now, though, it is unclear. We know the only ones we've directly heard about that were confirmed to belong to the group are dead (Teft's parents and their group). The Amians might qualify as well, because I'm sure they're up to something. The Set. The kandra might count as well, considering there's at least one off-world somewhere. I think Hoid would qualify all on his own, honestly, with how wide-spread his influence is, being that he's been just about everywhere at one time or another.
  4. You and your JoJo, Dapper.
  5. He has considered it and has a preferred author to finish it up should he not be able to, but I still think he can make it. There was another thread about this a while back but I can't find it at the moment. Maybe someone else will be able to link it.
  6. I'm not going to let you prey on the new people, Bean! Bad form to take advantage of someone who doesn't know what you're talking about.
  7. Fair enough. You'll still want to be thinking, though. If you want another full series, Mistborn is very good (and is also many people's introduction to the cosmere, including mine), but if you want to start connecting stuff between the larger cosmere and Stormlight, Warbreaker is a good choice. Ultimately, it's up to you. Don't take the cookie. It's not a healthy thing. Your soul might be permanently maimed.
  8. I don't think that connection is a thing. Southern Scadrian airships require Metallic Arts and those experienced in their usage, not to mention ettmetal, and need no masts (I'm pretty sure). Navani's design uses a Surge to fly and instead of having fans initialized by a Steelpush, uses masts to catch the wind and turn.
  9. Fair, fair. Stormlight's a good series, to be sure. I would counsel avoidance of the other forums, though, until you've read the rest. Spoilers everywhere, often with no warning. Also, you're in for a couple of surprises once you reread Stormlight with a knowledge of what happens/happened in the rest of the cosmere.
  10. Hello! Welcome to the Shard! Have you read the other cosmere stories beyond Stormlight Archive?
  11. Thankfully, it's not a 1:1 ratio of Cognitive space to Physical space. I think you're walking on some form of metaphysical representation of empty space in another level of existence. I just chalk it up to Realmatic interaction with quantum mechanics and the compression of interim space into the space it would take up if the empty space between nuclei of atoms and their electrons were removed. Or just other shenanigans.
  12. The Shardplate wiki entry doesn't have a list of the plates, other than the Plate being made of interlocking plates across the body. I think it was mentioned that there's an undershirt most Shardbearers wear, though it's not part of the Plate itself. I think your list is mostly complete.
  13. You'd probably lose some functionality/efficiency with it because Hemalurgy just does that.
  14. "Fair, fair." Malu grabs around seven bottles of various forms of liquor and stirring them all together. "Here you go."
  15. "Fancy is useless. Lived-in is the best way for a tavern to be. Organic, not false. As to the drink, I'm going to need clarification. Do you want the strongest mixed drink I have or the strongest singular drink I have?"
  16. Thanks.
  17. That's half the fun.
  18. Arguably, they are inanimate objects within Blade form. Yes, the spren is alive, but the Blade itself is still just a hunk of metal.
  19. Why would that be too much? Something like that is going to have major ramifications in all the Realms, and it's the energy of the spirit passing between those realms that Moelach uses to make the Rattles. Not too hard to believe that two Death Rattles can be about the same major event.
  20. There's probably some interface between the wearer and the Plate (you can even see this in modern-Alethi Plate, with the way it somewhat conforms to the wearer), but I don't think the Radiant would have as direct control over the shape as a whole like they do with their Blade. Lesser spren (presuming that theory is correct) may not have the mind to communicate as reliably with the Radiant. Small scale changes, sure, like it shrinking or growing, but not major stuff like growing giant spikes or something. Probably.
  21. Can't forget the follow up: "So that's what that damnation book was about." (Just consider it censored for the quote, I can't actually type it)
  22. Nah, debate away. Not like this thread sees much use anymore for recruitment to the A-MG, so feel free to debate it here.
  23. Hey, do you mind @'ing me when you're done revamping it so I can redo her?
  24. Her disability is permanent. She went to Renarin to try to get him to heal her and it failed. It's part of her now, and I don't think even her being able to Light herself up it would heal.
  25. I think they'd be able to last longer in hotter environments while storing (much as @HSuperLee said), but it wouldn't be indefinite.
