  1. I actually liked that Navani bonded sibling. I mean it was due to their desperation both of theirs, they needed to bond in order to survive. But still, sibling could have done a lot worse. Sibling’s central focus has been to create fabrials to make things easy for radiants. It is clear that whatever fabrials are there in the tower, it had taken sibling centuries to figure them out. And quite frankly, we simply do not have the time for that kind of pace. With both of their understanding of the fabrials, I think together they can make wonders. Rosharan technology will grow in leaps and bounds which will not happen with Dabbid or Rlain. so for that alone, I can let go of any other reservations I might have. As to the OP’s objections, I quite disagree: Hmm let me see.... Sons of Honor are finished, ilalai sadeas is dead. Almost all of the high princes have been brought in line or replaced. Shallan has left Ghostbusters and we know they want BaM and who their leader Thaidakar is. We know who Restares is. We have honorspren join the radiants and possibly inkspren too. We have willshapers joining and bonding the listeners too. We have over a thousand listeners now and many of them will be radiants and also they will be their own separate country. Venli swore another oath. Kaladin swore his 4th oath and so did Shallan. She also reintegrated Veil into herself. We have a bondsmith unbound and he is doing some really creepy stuff. We have another bondsmith and tower is alive again and we have learnt so much more about magic system. We have even created an anti investiture weapon which will have profound impact on the future of cosmere. 3 fused have been permanently killed. Rayse is dead and replaced by Taravangian. Kaladin has started a whole mental health movement in Roshar. We have set the terms for the champions duel. Rlain has bonded a spren. Emul has been freed. I think that is quite a lot for one book.
  2. Well humans can not infuse gemstones during everstorm with Voidlight. It was mentioned in OB, Navani and her scholars had tried. whatever voidlight gems they had, they got off of fused or regals they killed on the battlefield. And we don’t know how they get these gemstones. But yea may be Leshwi knows and can manage till she dies.
  3. well I think book 5 will cover these 10 days only. And in Brandon’s book, a lot can happen in ten days! I don’t know may be the whole book would be a one big sanderlanche ! Actual achievement of an ideal doesn’t take a long time. How many days were covered in book 4? 2 highstorms came so..... max one month?
  4. I think that dawnsingers had some sort of binding with spren and access to surges but it was something different from nahel bond. It may be possible that they did not form singular bonds but forged friendships with spren. Which were less binding and probably did not need oaths. Most hint for this we get in the chapter “song of stones” where Venli is shown a sort of vision where ancient ones are shaping the stone using rhythms. I am not sure if stormlight was important to this system. So if there were singers who reshaped stone and there must be singers who flew or who healed etc etc It may be that what these singers used to do, singing rhythms of Roshar and attracting spren and working magic is what is referred to as “old magic” Regarding Leshwi I am also interested to know that being cut off by odium and devoid of constant feeding of void light directly from odium, how are these heavenly ones going to survive? Will she keep her surge?
  5. Szeth’s arc in Book 5 is literally about him fulfilling his 4th oath and get a shardplate. He will get his armour. And he has a live shardblade and nightblood.
  6. On that count there is no doubt. It was a long time plan of Endowment and cultivation. I don’t think Taravangian is going to direct his shards intent towards killing other shards.
  7. Dalinar’s choices seem straightforward to me. Dalinar, kaladin or szeth. Szeth makes more sense to me because Hey! It is his book and He has NB. He is very skilled at fighting and more importantly he knows a lot about all the surges. Seeing as how it is Taravangian who is the new odium, Szeth has an old score to settle. And it is kind of his doing that Taravangian ascended. As to odium’s champion, it is difficult to guess. Because by changing the vessel, odium has changed the whole game. I am sure it will a surprise!
  8. I think it is too risky for sazed to think that he can find someone else for his two shards. these are two shards!! One of them is probably the most destructive shard ! How can one ever place that much faith in someone to vest them with the powers of two shards. I think this letter is before mistborn era 2 and he has found his way out. He has found his champion Wax
  9. Haha Rayse!! Imagine he is the guy who has all of cosmere trembling well no wonder endowment was not much worried!
  10. @Honorless thanks for the video link. You are no sun sphere, you are a glowing gemheart ! @Alpharho thanks for making this post and sorta confirming an old theory of mine. I have argued before that not just Scadrians, the ones above could be Rosharans also.
  11. True that. One of the best things about Brandon’s books and also the worst thing is that I can not put these books down and finish so quickly!! And then the awesome ride is over all too soon. you can re read but it is never the same! I remember that I had decided to read wheel of time in 2017 and it took me from jan to august to read till book 11. Last three books I had planned to finish by November end and then I was going to start SA, thinking that atleast by then I will surely have OB. But by the time 1st nov came, I had read last three wheel of time books and Wok and WoR and ended up waiting for OB for 2 whole weeks!! Brandon has a way of ruining all my plans!
  12. How cool is that!!
  13. Great time to start Stormlight archive! I am getting my copy of RoW on 23rd as well. I wish I had OB to distract me! But I have read it so many times. but I guess I might re read it just to pass time! And refresh my memory My favourite book so far is OB let us see if RoW can change that!
  14. Hey! Are you a fan of Malazan ?

  15. Is it not going to get released at tor? I prefer to read than to listen to audio!
  16. Yea that is correct! We can not be certain! Although won’t it be strange that we find mention of one on Roshar that can bind both void and humans and we actually have a dawnshard on Roshar and that one does not bind!? It should be the same one logically but I also can not see how one that commands change can cause binding!
  17. Hmm the only thing we know is that dawnshards can bind both voidish and humans. So we don’t really know what that means. But it may be that change is like its intent, it may only signify the way it is to be commanded but the effect of it’s investiture may be totally unrelated. Change however should have endowment and cultivation and may be that’s why the effects that Rysn is feeling are very similar to awakening. This would be awesome. Also it seems that Rysn will have a major role to play in this series although she may remain an interlude character only.
  18. I think it is a good possibility. I like it. Also would explain why chiri chiri had to come to the island to bond mandras. May be they need sanctification if their bond from that 4th Larkin. He went down the corridor and transformed, there has to be something important down there!
  19. Some interesting changes are in store for Rysn then. She is essentially immortal and vegetarian.
  20. Hmm Moash I think.
  21. Kaladin !! Aww. They are such good friends, guys! All hearts for them. So today is the day! And we can not wait to discover what is the tower on real like. I am sure it is wonderful. I think that in this book, Lirin first had to accept kaladin as a soldier then Kal will be able to swear his 4th oath. Seems like for kaladin, 4th oath is all about the resolution of his old dilemma, whether you can save lives as a soldier or only as a surgeon. I feel bad for Kal, he didn’t want to choose it, he dreaded it! Parental expectations! Even when you are grown up adult. Sighs.
  22. Nope 2. This place has power
  23. True but I really dislike straff venture and zane
