    But that means that only reswearing the oaths is not enough there has to more that you need to do but re-swearing the oaths is certainly part of the precess is what I believe and that part will give surges what I think is that he will be something more than a normal shardbearer but definitely a different kind of radiant but saying that the only thing that will change is that his shardboade would appear sooner is just sad.     also the saying that spren betrayed us, they were soup we were broth, it also causes confusion, it suggests that humans became radiants first, but that directly contradict what stormfather suggests and what honor also told dalinar. that first fused came, then heralds were made and then radiants happened when spren tried to imitate honorblades. So either, eila stelle is a lie or atleast someone among the singers is trying to blame the humans for a war that they started or the spren did come to humans but in some other way. they were not given surges but may be they just showed up more around humans because humans are more expressive, they feel their emotions more strongly, but even this can not happen in shinovar because i dont think spren go there much but in humans other settlements so when that happened, was it that it became difficult for singers to attract spren to change forms? is that what caused them to get angry? i dont think originally singers used to trap spren in gems and take the gems in highstorms... this was something the parshendi learned from humans.

    @Karger ok I like the idea but I can’t see how she can be revived without reswearing of the oaths by someone. And if oaths are sworn again, then surges will be granted, won’t it? Besides I don’t mind if adolin becomes edgedancer, elend became mistborn.. I think this is a book about KRs and heralds adolin may even have broken enough after murdering sadeas and with the truth about his mother, I don’t know may be that will shook him even more. I also think he already seems the type. Listening to those who are forgotten etc he saved the darklady in twok, he went to jail in order to give voice to kaladin s wrongful imprisonment, he is very friendly with soldiers, water crews etc i mean he just fits. Abd where there are spren it attracts more spren so it is logical that so many kholins become radiants besides gavilar never realised what he could become elhokar could not even reach first oath renarin has bonded a corrupted spren

    Exactly @Gilphon i agree. It just does not seem plausible that humans came, settled then decided no it is not enough, we want more and started moving out at first probably in uninhabited area then came to parsh people area, started fighting, fighting escalated up to continent level, singers went to odium started coming back, humans happened that fighting is pointless if they keep coming back, they started losing I would say, then went to honor to form oathpact all of this can not happen in 8 years i also don’t think that alone shinovar ‘s human population was able to challenge singers continent wide. That means they would have had to spread out and thrived, increased population etc roughly 100-200 years.

    I would not say that he writes romance badly, I loved Siri and susebron, just that romance is not the main focus. But I think two books as big as Brandon writes them, are big enough to introduce a love interest and make it work. Honestly I am sitting on the fence where jasnah and kaladin are concerned... the main reason I think we ship them is that they are super awesome people and they are both single. It is also funny that they both seem aromantic @TheGirlWhoLookedUp Shallan has already wondered that about jasnah after all one other thing I find in their favour is that Unlike shallan, I think jasnah does not really care about nobility birthright and light eyes stuff.. Jasnah never cared about amaram whereas shallan in her place probably would have skipped all over the town at the prospect It is also true that technically KRs now come above royalty in the social hierarchy but still shallan had compared him to a peasant in OB.

    But he probably did use the opportunity to check if Jasnah was really using the soul caster or was using surges and also I feel that when he came to shallan for the portrait I feel that was also a test to check how she is making them.     Nightwatcher might make it known where she is based and may grant boons and curses hoping to someday come across someone who can bond her? I think it will be very awesome if sibling is bonded by Navani during her attempts to revive urithiru she is artifabrian and he helps in the functioning of the biggest Fabrial. Also I believe that he probably granted special ability to his bondsmith which enabled them to create new and awesome fabrials by bonding spren to the fabrials like oathgates, regrowth, fabrial lift, soulcasters etc

    May be.. but is there any indication in the text that nightwatcher was also hurt? but nightwatcher stopped bonding with radiants much much earlier. May be after ahretiem, pardon my spelling, it may be that cultivation foresaw recreance and told nightwatcher to avoid nahel bond

    May be that is what stormfather meant when he said to Dalinar, he is slumbering and leave them be, you have hurt them enough

    May be you need to find her and then demand that she bond with you by swearing the first ideal mot will help though if you already know the second ideal but then it worked for dalinar because stormfather had already chosen him as a potential candidate for bonding

    And not to forget, artifabrians can not possibly function without visual arts! Well may be she thinks so because she has always paid more attention to history, philosophy etc. I think she considered visual arts slightly inferior to other forms of scholarship and I think she wanted to tell shallan that her accomplishments in visual art will not sway her to take shallan as a ward as in that if you want to be my ward, you will have much less use of visual arts. Then you should know more of history, philosophy then you do. I mean that jasnah is not the type of scholar someone highly trained in visual arts should aim for. If this is your speciality then you would be better off in applying elsewhere. And to her credit, she does acknowledge to shallan Later that her disdain of visual arts was an erroneous judgement.

    I think same level would imply that she is one of the three. And dalinar has also asked stormfather, how many are there like you, there is you and there is nightwatcher, anyone else? And stormfather replied that there one other. They are slumbering so I think it also proves that nightwatcher is indeed one of the three. Cusicesh is related to the sibling but is at a slightly lower level than these three? Wow. Totally agree this book can not come any sooner

    I totally agree. Outline of SA 4&5 at 92% is good enough I think. You have leave some scope for Little changes here and there. It may be that SA4 is 3% left and SA 5 5-6% left in fact that hopefully means that SA 5 will take him much shorter time. In fact he may have a very very good idea on a rough draft for SA5 i was never following him when he was writing earlier so I am curious, how many drafts does he go through before SA 4 reaches final draft. His starsight was like draft 5 ?
