The only such fortress we have actually visited is in secret history, and Nazh knew exactly where to find it, so accurately that Kelsier has no trouble in finding them. The only thing they seemed to be relying on for their security purposes, were gaurds. Very standard stuff. If they had any special magical means of ensuring that no one could find them, then they would have used it then. As we know, there mission was extremely crucial to their plans and they had probably been waiting for a long long time for Leras to die and preservation’s shard to become vessel-less. so, I doubt that it is an iri fortress

well, firstly, your question was about the 16 who took the shards and not hoid.. So devotee angle works for the 16! Hoid would be more like a tour guide.. and secondly, i was just joking, really.... But, on a serious note, i think they could be ''devotees'' because people who believe in god and then feel betrayed, due to reasons we don't know yet, might be persuaded by someone like hoid to take such a drastic action as to kill their god.

I think Sel has a real possibility @Lunu’anaki because like you said, it is relatively stable and Elantrians must surely be making a lot of research into what is all possible with their magic system. we have already seen two different methods of near instantaneous travel, one by Raoden and the other by Dakhor monks..

Because Elantris magics are region locked. But there are wobs that suggest that there are ways to unlock them in ways that would allow their usage on other planets..

Alternate Elantris and Mistborn books? well State of Sanderson is next month. We will learn soon enough

@Calderis you are welcome. And I agree to the extent that oaths always existed. But not in the form they do now. That was a result of organisational structuring of oaths by Ishar and ways of kings might have influenced him in the philosophy that was used to flesh out the ideals.

First he will finish SA then write dragon steel.. after that Mistborn era 3 it takes him 2.5 years to publish one SA book and 7 are left so 16.5 years at least before SA is over. Then dragonsteel which is a trilogy so another 5 years..

Yup what exactly is the reason they are still here.. why not just leave? Do they have to wait for some specific time or do they wait for what they might perceive as divine signal? I think if they really wanted they probably could have learnt about the perpendicularity in all these years..

It may have been different for each order too.

Granted you now have the ability to make the simulation once, you managed to make the program but it took you long arduous 10 years and then after a long long wait, you run your simulation and you see an accelerated version of your life. You learn so much from this experience about yourself, other people in your life, you see so much technological advancement, you even begin to comprehend the deeper meaning of life as your entire life flashes past your eyes that the experience brings tears to your eyes.. After such a profound experience, the simulation gets over and the you open your eyes.... And you have forgotten everything from the simulation, every single thing that you just saw you have forgotten, each answer learnt lost, any deeper meanings you had grasped, lost to you the instant the simulation is over. It is taken from you in a way as if you never even experienced the simulation. All that remains is the vague sense that it was something profound that you saw, but lost almost immediately. You let others use your program, hoping for a different result for them but alas, it is the same each time. They hate you afterwards because they blame you for taking the memory away.. I wish for the ability to heal completely myself and others of every disease known to humans ever, now and in the future while incurring no harm myself from it..
