I was quite sure that I would go with secret society but this I think captures them quite well. They do behave like a mafia, squeezing out the competition - they did take out sons of honor, circumventing authority to build up their business - they are definitely doing that, what they are doing is not legal and I don’t see them filling forms in Azish to operate there protecting family - that is what Mraize claims, does not he? Getting Shallan’s brothers safely out of Jah Keved etc but their goals are less than clear, amassing wealth true but they also seem to be collecting different magics not like hoid but they are collecting differently invested individuals into their organisation. They clearly wanted a radiant and Shallan just fell into their lap of her own accord! They want to recruit an unmade, wonder if they will set their sights at a shard eventually !!

Debatable. He may or may not know. It is left very ambiguously. I also find it very interesting that the fused are only focusing on getting Dalinar and Jasnah. They are totally ignoring kaladin, underestimating him! Remember what happened to someone when they last time underestimated him!? I feel that it may be the moment when Kal will finally swear his 4th oath and show them what a true windrunner can do! You do not mess with Kaladin stormblessed!

What about a third option that which you use when you know who the enemy spy is - misdirection / misinformation

Very idealistic but wonder which fused lady gave kaladin the idea!! Loved this chapter ! We finally got Zahel and any mention of wit is fun. I think I want a dialogue between wit and zahel!! It would be super fun. And Kal asks zahel “how he gave up the sword” so they know.... interesting. And if Shallan and adolin goto honorspren city, do you think they will find azure there? May be they will bring her back! How will they come back? I guess Dalinar can help!

That is why the idea is scary to me. Because that would suggest that Shallan is not in as much control as she would have us believe. but like I said Ishnah is where my money is at.

I did vote for Ishnah she does kind of appeared from nowhere and has proved too useful by far but I really think that formless doing it would be so much more scary and interesting. For formless to gain control of Shallan long enough to kill ialai... when shallan does not even acknowledge her existence! Ooh!

@hoiditthroughthegrapevine Ishnah is also my number one suspect. I would not be surprised at all if she is the killer. She turned up rather mysteriously in OB, I don’t think much due diligence was done to check her identity or background story. Shallan took her iinder her wing simply because she was too useful to discard. It was like Ghostbloods dangled the right goods at Shallan and she took the bait. Whether she has a secret identity, I never thought that but interesting idea!

Is there any foreshadowing? I will reread the first two as you suggested after RoW. RJ was good at story and world building and his male characters but he was not good at surprising me! Brandon, however, is a master of foreshadowing though. Talking about it, which one is your favourite foreshadowing by Brandon in cosmere?

I don’t mind if they Perrin’s story a little bit. I don’t want them to change anything with Mat. And Noor much with Rand also. But they will increase the pace a little of the story which is a good thing. His, I think, would be most difficult for them, to keep his character exactly as it is in the books. some side stories can be cut, a little more detail as to what had happened in the past. I am not sure if it is good to reread the series before watching it. What do you think?

In all of cosmere, wow, very difficult to point out one! There is just so many good characters around! My favourite characters are Vin, Elend, kaladin, dalinar, sazed, Khriss and many more

I love Brandon’s world building and magic systems Though I have read many fantasy series but I really can not say I came across any series which is quite like his. I am reading the malazan series though, it is very good but very different writing style to Brandons.

Haha, even I did not know what wobs were, shardcast videos forced me to finally check what was all the wobs about. Before that I used to wonder how people know so much more about the books than me!
