1- If he bonded with the thunderclast is possible that he can bond with another being, like the parshmen. 2- This is true, I need express myself better in this one =)

I apologize in advance for post another crackpot theory but I would really like to listen you guys about this one, so bear with me =) I was reading the question that Joshstormblessed(thanks man) asked recently to Brandon and something hit me like a stone. Here what was asked: Q: What is the stone that Gavilar gave to Szeth before he died? A: good question, there are clues to what it is. (I'm going to try to get this answer right) if you decode Shallans letter in the beginning of The Way of Kings you will find some significant clues to what the stone is. The letter has already been decoded over at the 17th shard but I've never confirmed that those clues are in fact there. So go tell the 17th shard I confirmed that and they will love you for it. It's know that the Navani's notes contain basic explanations of how make a fabrial and how to TRAP A SPREN. CAUTION XXXXXXXX--------- Big spoillers of Words of Radiance ---------XXXXXXXX Make sense ?
-
Now this make perfect sense, lets to do the math. 1- In the Dalinar purelake vision he saw a "voidbringer spreen". 2- The Parshendi Killed Gavilar to stop him to bring back the "old gods" of parshendi, Aka voidbringer spreens. 3- The "Parshendi forms" are some kind o magic system that use certain spreens to change the physical/mental/emotional traits of the parshendi, by starting some kind of symbiotic relationship with differents kinds of spreens. So if Gavilar's dark gem is really voidbringer spreen trapped, and if that spreen escape he could bond with the parsheman or parshendis to make the "voidbringer parshemen" that are the odium's basic troops in the desolations, this would explain the need to kill Gavilar. And more, by what we already know, the forms change de basic dispostion of the parshemen, like when they are in the mate form and can't think anything else different, that "you know". If the voidbringer spreen have some of the odium touch(investidure), for sure the parshemen woud go berserk in the voidbringer form. And more, like in the ruin exemple, if the parshemen received some kind of odium investidure, odium could "control" or atleast influence the parsheman to to his desires, like the inquisitors. I'm starting to think that the parsheman aren't of odium. Maybe they are of cultivation and the Odium only exploited the spreen+parsheman symbiose, so he could save his investidure to do another things what would make sense, give the fact that hewould bring "hate" between culivation and honor beings. Make sense ?

Ok nice catch, take some upvotes Maybe he is the "Brightcaller" or his Order are the Brightcaller. Cast light from his sword sure fit with the name =)

From "Agent" to "Regent" you are sure growing in this forum

Don't forget to mention the organizations that possible search and kill potential surgebinders, like Ghostbloods and "another ones" And the Ardentia that must look with very bad eyes this kind of thing, any person that have this kind of power would try hid it. (Dalinar' visions, Jasnah fake soulcaster and Kaladin' fear to share his power with brigde 4 prove this). So even if there is many surgebinders they woundn't expose themselves.
-
The theory is yours I would never think about how the full lashing works if you hadn't established the premises. Here take you a upvote, kind sr
-
The Ars Arcanum in the end of the book relate the full lashing with the atmosferic pressure surge. Every time that you do a full lashing the objects lashed togther "leak stormlight" so maybe is like you said, the full lashing acts like a depressurized plane, where the stormlight acts like the air and one object is sucked by the difference of pressure caused by the full leashing. In this line of thought you could imagine that the the pressure is so great that one object is bond to the other like a some kind of plug being sucked by the drain or despressurized plane like you sugested. That would be my guess at least.
-
I allways thinked that is was a little of the both. You could do some basic things with the surge and you could combine your two surges to do something unique associated with your order. A example "could" be Jasnah "lightning soulcaster ray" both Shallan and Jasnah can soulcast, but I think that the ray thing is exclusive to Jasnah order(only a guess for now). =) Edit. Another idea is that the "Full Lashing" could be the association of gravity and atmosferic pressure to make two objects "bond". If I'm correct the another order with the atmosferic pressure surge won't be able to do the full lashing, but will use this surge to create another effect. For now, It's a little bit dificult know for sure, because we only know the powers of no adjacents orders =)

I agree, but in one interview he said this: NADINE Will The Way of Kings series be based on one of the worlds and magic systems you have already created or are you inventing a totally new one for this series? BRANDON SANDERSON It will be new. There are going to be a lot of different types of magic in the world (I see there's a question below asking about that, so I'll answer more there.) But there will be two main magic systems for the first book. The first will deal with the manipulation of fundamental forces. (Gravity, Strong/weak atomic forces, Electromagnetic force, that sort of thing.) The second will be a transformation based magic system, whereby people can transform objects into one of the world's ten elements. Gravity is already confirmed was a surge, so would be possible that the other two are surges too, and with this data would be more easy especulate what the orders and surges are and do. The eletromagnetism, for example, fit with the skybreakers order.=)
-
If you ask this, try ask him if the brighcallers and the wolrdsingers are radiants orders or not. (I think that this question would be aswered). or Ask him if eletromagnetic forces and weak/strong atomic forces are really surges, as him alluded much time ago. =)
-
I think is 50/50, maybe a order or a herald title, but, give the lack of data we have to use what we got =)

What has possessed Cultivation? (Elantris spoilers)
Natans replied to Isomere's topic in Stormlight Archive
Odd thought, that never ocurred me. I think that when the Alenthis travel to distant countries they must have a nice and good time with all the "boldness" there, like going to Rio, Ibiza or something.- 16 replies

LOL =) And there goes my Table of Surges/Orders. Mr. Peter coud you clarify which is the correct symbol? Given the fact the Mr. Sanderson already shared this information wouldn't be nice make sure that the fans aren't misguided in their deep thoughts about the matter.=)

LOL Ok, let's be frank, Adolin coment that he asked some girls if he was more beutiful that the king and he saying that liked do design "fashion looks" is kind a giveaway. He is metrosexual ,if his shardlate was used by a fashionable Radian the wouldn't mind if she was a woman, after all styleis everything =) Just joking don't be mad with me=)

What happened to the 2nd draft of Words of Radiance?!?
Natans replied to minibro's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I was under that impression that the second draft was the "editor draft" that he received some months agos, with hundreds ofs pages with notes and coments=) -
No prob. I'm just throwing ideas here and there, to listen the oppinion of my betters because this sure helps make my mind about things. Just one thing, we don't know for sure that all orders are disbanded. Some radiants could have "keeped" the fight in low profile, after all if they are declared "traitors" they wouldn't go around saying that they are radiant. In true, I'm very suspicious of the worldsingers(Sigzil), Envisagers (Teft) and from the strange abillity that Rock have to see Sly, somaybe I'm jumping the gun a little bit. But thanks for the feedback.
-
I agree with this. The Radiants fighted the same war, but their origins is much more mundane, alas they aren't bounded by a pact with a god that granted them divine (greatly invested) weapons. Simple men and women guided by the ideals of a wise King and by their desire of resist. (My opinion only) =)
-
The Forty Parabolles - The Forty ideals Teft saying that an old King wrote a book that served was guide line to the radiants. To me Nohadon funded or at least preceded the radiant orders. It's from this that I believe in a order of radiants with the objetive of "keep the flame alive" helping the nations to be prepared for the Desolation. The Windrunner said something about Keeping training the deadly arts to pass them when was needed. Isn't possible that another order would approach this problem with another solution. ( Help in the unification of the nations and in maintain the peace ?

The "dark spreen" in Dalinar's Purelake vision, maybe is a "voidbringer nahel spreen". And about the magics in Roshar don't forget the Parshendis "forms". (spreens+storm= new form), Maybe forcing a spreen to bound in this ways is a "voidbringer" magic system. I'm starting to think that the spreens are the "focus" in roshar, all magic originate from them in a way or another

If not all radiants use plate, that mean that some Radiants have another function not related directly with fighting. The "Wolrdsings" could be the PR of the radiants making propaganda to be sure that everybody would be prepared e united to fightin the desolation =) Information is ,after all, power.

Will The Way of Kings series be based on one of the worlds and magic systems you have already created or are you inventing a totally new one for this series? It will be new. There are going to be a lot of different types of magic in the world (I see there's a question below asking about that, so I'll answer more there.) (Gravity, Strong/weak atomic forces, Electromagnetic force, that sort of thing.) The second will be a transformation based magic system, whereby people can transform objects into one of the world's ten elements. & I was doing some research and finded this topic in the StormBlessed Forum "On p 768 (US hardcover), Sigzil states I spread knowledge of cultures, peoples, thoughts, and dreams. I bring peace through understanding. It is the holy charge my order received from the Heralds themselves. As the Radiants are the only groups that I have heard of that have received orders directly from the Heralds, this would make Worldsingers Radiants as well." Now this make sense. To me the Knights Radiants Orders aren't only about fighting, they also should have served like, "Wacther against the Desolation" and have a order that spreaded information fo sure would help the fight against the voidbringers. =)
