  2. Nay. I liked SAO for the against all odds scenario in the Aincrad arc, it's such a pity that the plot are so rushed the premise are very nice(trapped in a death game for years),setting are right to me with like the "in-game gameplay" withou magic and such, I hope that in the progressive LN in some years we wil have a nice material to another "more complete Aincrad arc" I readed the LN but none of the next arc have the same "fell" to me. About Log Horizon i liked this anime. To me LH have another take in the same scenario (trapped in a gmae), with more secret, less focus in battles and more focus in the human interaction with the other players and NPC.
  3. Hohohoho Mr. Peter Ahlstrom are putting some wood in the fire. But I don't believe that Dalinar "saved" Kaladin, the other way around are more correct in my mind. What Dalinar did was pay a debt, what put a wrech in this theory to me. But the part about Amaram looks right. Kadalin inner conflict about revenge and honor are alluded in the cover blurb so this could fit very well. Kaladin have to deal with Amaram ( I would prefer a spear in the gut in a fight where Kal kick Amaram chull with style scenario, but, Hey! this is me) What you guys think about maybe that the "prophecy" aren't about Dalinar and Kaladin, how about put other person in Dalinar place. If this was a book one spoiler of a book two event, would make sense that the information that we need to understand everything aren't showed yet. =)
  4. I gonna try ask =) I don't have a 3-d printer and I'm willing to buy one model to put in my book shelves=)
  5. Hold the ground in place when there are Earthquakes or Hurricanes. Example below. =)
  6. That could fit. And would explain why the radiants dropped their armors and blades in the Feverstone Keep, also that would explain why the blades and armors don't shine anymore. If you are correct, Dalinar giving up his armor and blade, and Kaladin refusing take that shardplate are indeed smart choices, because givin them time, they will "grow" their personal set. But if this is the case how a Surgebind "grow" a plate and armor ? The Bondsmith theory? The say the Last Ideal of his order theory ? Another thing ? WOR come fast we need you =) Upvote
  7. This could make sense. But i have some doubts, because something don't fit in this history. The Radiants, deliberately, dropped their armors in a place that others would take why do that if their objective are end their orders? And more Honor said that the only thing that could prevent the world end are the Radiants, so why disband in the first place, if they are the sole human hope, something are off here. Also Brandon said that the motives that made the radiants drop their armors aren't necessarily because their discovered the heralds treason (not interelly). They ended their Order with something in mind, some plan but until now i don't see anything that would explain their decision and actions, the best that I got is that Odium could have "tainted" in some way the nahel bond, or something else (the thrill) forcing the Radiants to disband to not be used against mankind. Upvote for you Welcome =)
  8. Travel yes =) Horse why not ? Don't see why limit the travel surge only to the user. All evidences of points to the Travel surge be like a Stargate kind of device. Like the Oathgates tax to use this service that to me indicate a complex system that could be used for anyone one (not only surge users) like in nohadon family example. If you could transport a "muggle" you could transport a horse to I believe. And after you guys point out that be the thunder sound could be horse I'm unsure if any surge was used. I gonna wait Amaram take on the events in the next book to see if really there is something here. Tks again. =) PS: The first one make sense, like when the Shin refused to talk about the true that he saw. This one I believe that are a direct quote of the Almighty, not a the dying person take in some vision =) But one upvote for the idea make sense =)
  9. Make sense. Do you are proposing that Odium intended to corrupt the Heralds in a specific way so they would become his minion or something else? I particularly believe that them are "broken" in a deep way but are not acting as Odium agents, not intentionally at least. If they are under Odium control I don't believe that would make much sense them fighting in the last desolation before abandon mankind. For what we know the Heralds are crazy/corrupted but not under anyone control. But take this Upvote for the idea =)
  10. One question Harmony, that have 2 shards, are more powerful that a normal Shard like odium or there no such thing. Because if Harmony is more powerful I can see Odium top 1 priority changing to kill our friend Harmony =)
  11. The tops theories points that Odium, Honor and Cultivation kind are in a "shardic romantic triangle", or that the oath pact prevent Odium to kill Cultivation. But, to me, could be simplely that Odium are taking his time, he ultimate goal are make Roshar "void" like in Dalinar vision, so his plan must included Cultivation death in some moment but the time just didn't come yet, and Odium are a pacient fella, he could be wainting for his that him come to fruition =)
  12. Same thing here, I'm also suprised by the fact that the books come without a picture on the cover, and have a "dust jacket", we don't get that many Hardcovers with Dust Jacket and such, but at least the majority of the Books(paperbooks i think you call it) come with killers covers (many times, in my opinion, with a ilustration more beutiful then the original). Must be a marketing thing, if the book here don't have a nice cover many people don't buy. See Amazon Comparasion Name of Wind Elantris In both cases, I think that original cover art are kind blend (just my opinion), or maybe I could be used to our kind of cover style. Anyway the Shallan drawing are breath taking, Both Mr. Whelan and Mr. Inkthinker kind created the "definitive Shallan image" =) Side note, someone know what Mr. Sanderson think about the use of character images in the covers and paperend of the book. I think that I readed somewhere that him didn't like to have the face of characters showed in a "cannon way" to let all reader have their personal image of he character, but both Kaladin and Shallan faces are showed I the art of WOR.
  13. And there goes another happy customer =)
  14. Well, Re-re-re-reading this passage i'ts hard to tell, but indeed in context could be the sound of "horse", i gonna hold jugment about this one. Maybe I'm lookig too deep but WOK have too many layer (like hoid anagram) sometimes to me is hard to tell junk for gold =) Tks for the head's up guys, this is why I like the 17th Shard so much this "coletive community mind" make possible work on every detail if the book what would be impossible to do alone =)
  15. Yes, in many parts o the books thunder is associeted with this. But in this case I fell that there is something else going on. When the Batalionlord that kaladin killed appeared he also was on horse but no "odd distant thunder" was heard. I can be wrong but think about Sanderson is subtle. Ages before Kaladin begin to uses actively his power there are "odds distorcions in the air", Dalinar sharplate oddly "almost looked to be shining", etc, there are plenty of examples of things that are vaguely alluded to later be showed like something of importance. So when the word "odd" appear I pay attention because the chances are that there are something going on =) Tks for the feedback =)
  16. Ok, I was re-reading WOK and a noticed a odd thing that catched my attention in the begining of the book, more precisely in the Cenn POV, see below what was said. "He leaned back, staring up at the sky. He could hear faint thunder. That was odd. the sky was cloudless." But why this is important? Well after this "odd thunder", mysteriously a Shardbearer appeared out of thin air in the midlle of battle. And he was a Veden shardbearer that shoudn't be in that particular battlefield. Even Amaram was catched by suprised for this odd occurrence. So my question is, from where this Shardbearer come? Or better how he appeared in the middle of the battle? Well we now that the use of many surges create or are associated with "thunder and lightnings". Like Kaladin jump in the Tower battle, Jasnah soulcast ray, the falling radiants of Sky, Kaladin stormvision, etc. So what you guy think, maybe this "odd thunder" that Cenn noticed are in true the after affect of a surge being used by the Veden Shardbearer to travel to the battlefield. I don't know if he used himself the surge, or other person gived him a lift,or if that was a fabrial, but we know that BS like to let clues in his books, and a odd ocurrence of thunder moments before a strange shardebeared apparence for sure raised some flags to me, what you guy think ?
  17. I think that they are transported to Braize, (Odium home planet) that maybe are the "Damnation" that the Vorin Religion talks about. That would make sense given the fact that Odium must take especial pleasure torturing the Heralds, if this is the case, with the heralds in his home planet that could be best way to him do so without waste time and invesidure. in the task. Side note Braize being a place of "flames" have a word similar in Latin brasa that mean "ember", coincidende ? Maybe not =)
  18. Nice work man =) One doubt it's legal to sell a 3-D print of this ?
  19. I always pronunciated Szeth like this "Zetti" =) I know that my pronunciation is wrong but this is the name a famous soccer keeper and that kind stuck in my mind =P Numuhukumakiaki'aialunamor, my ex, how are very articulate, always teased me saying Rock full name without miss a beat just because she could, and I never was able too say without tie my tongue soo i very pretty sure that i know the correct pronunciation of this one. I pronunciate Jah Keved = "Ia" Keved and like Jasnah = "Iasna". Kind like in latin you could say and "Jus" or "Ius" Putting in simple terms if i need say aloud the names of the character nobody would be able to understand what I'm saying.=)
