  1. Hrathen Also, does SA, Elantris, Warbreaker and/or the Emperor's Soul take place before or after MB Era 2?
  2. So, I have thought of this a decent amount, and mainly settled on the fact that we really will just have to RAFO for this. I think I may have semi seriously mentioned this in a different thread, no idea if that is what you are talking about, but yes, I do think that Hope could be a shard, but a lot of things could definitely be shards.
  3. Elantrian Would you rather have Khriss's knowledge of the Cosmere or Hoid's?
  4. Wow, Months? It has been almost a year... It took you a lot longer to get her to read Mistborn than it did me to get you to read Mistborn. In the time it took for you to get 1 person to read Mistborn, I convinced 6 people to read Mistborn (although to be fair only 4 so far have actually read past the first book).
  5. Reckoners is probably the best Brandon Sanderson book for people whose english isn't great, out of curiousity, do you recommend any books in spanish for people in the opposite situation. Preferably books of a similar genre to Sanderson's.
  6. Wasn't aware the SotD took place after MB era three. Good to know.
  7. @Ashspren can you please give an example of a character that lived after or during Era Three Scadrial? Also, Elend.
  8. Nope. This character is mentioned in one of Dalinar's visions.
  9. Nope. This character was dead before The Way of Kings begins (although not before the prologue to the series with the heralds).
  10. Sel. Sel just seems a lot less violent to me. Would you rather be a steel inquisitor or a koloss?
  11. So, while I am not certain, it likely wouldn't because although it resists investiture, the shardplate isn't using investiture against the aluminum.
  12. It's not. That part of the book still confuses me. Maybe Leras wanted to snap the atium mistings
  13. Those thought's were there too, although, technically there are more mistings because Atium Mistings. Now I am starting to wonder if there are any lerasium mistings.
  14. You know your a Sanderfan when your friend gets 16¢ in change and your first thought is "That's the number of shards there are."
  15. Nope. This character is dead.
  16. Nope This character is a Knight Radiant (By the end of WoR). For those of you wondering this is a legitimate clue because there is more than 1 type of investiture usage on Roshar, including Stormform of the Listeners, Old Magic, and of course, the KR.
  17. Nope. This character is from Roshar. (I promise this is not a character that is first mentioned/seen in OB as a investiture user)
  18. Nope. This character is from a system with at least 2 shards (Shattered or unshattered).
  19. This character can/could use investiture.
  20. Yep. Yomen is probably who I am thinking of.
  21. I feel like I saw somewhere (and I also feel that my mind is making this up) that Ruin was in fact trying to get a spike in Kelsier before he died but was unsuccessful. Maybe it was a different character. I think that naturally the next question that comes to my mind is what would Ruin do with Kelsier after spiking him?
  22. Firstly, thank you for finally clarifying, that this isn't a theory, but simply a discussion about Kelsier's death and some of the specifics of spiking. Secondly, if anybody hasn't read Mistborn Secret History I highly recommend you do so before continuing on this thread. Also, until now, I have not said it isn't a theory, I have said that I don't know what your theory is because the original post was a bit abstract (which is perfect for discussions).
  23. I am not trying to shut this theory down as you would say, I am trying to understand the theory, because as you said, I want to discuss it, and your post telling people who don’t understand what you are saying because you are so unclear are even more uneccesary, aggressive, and frankly very rude. All I want is for somebody to clarify what your theory actually is. What are you saying? Also, you talked about, as I mentioned, how you want to discuss this theory. You can’t discuss a theory with only the people who agree with it. That is like arguing with air. The people who agree with it will simply agree. A discussion means you have two sides, and you literally just asked one side to leave and “move along.” On its relevancy, just because it has spawned a discussion does not make it relevant to the present and future Cosmere. Sure, it makes it interesting and thought provoking, but I never said it wasn't. I want to know if it is relevant, because when things are relevant, they become not just interesting and thought provoking, but actually important. All I want is for you to clarify your theory.
