Quick Fix Game 36/Anonymous Game 5: Dream Thieves
Pearl Chameleon replied to Steeldancer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
This husk looks like a Max, Max decided. Max felt like having a little fun. Max lashed out at the random human standing next to him (who looked like a Mike) with a pencil from Max's pocket. Then, Max left the husk and entered Mike, who took out a pair of scissors and retaliated. Max went back to Max, who stabbed Mike even harder this time. The fight continued. This was too much fun. -
Quick Fix Game 36/Anonymous Game 5: Dream Thieves
Pearl Chameleon replied to Steeldancer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Guys! Sorry, yesterday was crazy and I couldn't get a post in, but I have an item that lets me action track and it gave me a LOT of suspicion on Chartreuse Penguin, as not only was it revealed that they were the one who shot Kangaroo but they also denied it. The way they claimed pickpocket seems kinda sketchy, like I don't think anyone would want to claim a potentially dangerous role/identity (thief) since it would get them lynched, but since Penguin did so, it would probably mean that they have an even more dangerous ability. @Chartreuse Penguin, how would you explain this? -
I think it was in response to what Iguana said earlier:

There is quite possibly a faction with three shards. Joe Cloud. If they are the ones that have Odium, and two others (Ambition is one of them), then they would have enough to recreate a planet on their own.

It was revealed in the same cycle as Hyena was lynched. Dragonfly and Heron both admitted to being in Mouse's faction, and Crocodile outed them as being called the Stewards of Creation.

Not necessarily. I didn't know you were active in docs or PMs, so I thought you were just generally inactive. I'm not certain anyone is going to win in the next cycle, so I was offering a suggestion based on the probability that the game will last longer than just a turn or two. But if you're here doing things, my point is null. Amber Vulture

I liiive! (I wanted to post a gif of Mushu for this, but I can't attach it.) I had the same theory. Maybe they need 5 returned alive from different factions. Why else would they be returning people from other factions? However, I'd rather target someone a little less involved. If last night was any indication, discussion is starting to drop drastically, and lynching Penguin would make that worse. As an alternative, I offer Amber Vulture.

That makes sense. So in @Indigo Weasel fashion here's my panicked attempt: @Coral Swan @Sage Kangaroo @Emerald Falcon @Sapphire Elephant

Honestly, I'm not so sure. There's lots of vote manipulation in this game that could mess with things.

So Heron, Mint and Dragonfly are the only three in their faction? There's been a lot happening and I'm a little lost. I thought I read somewhere they were the only ones left...

That makes the sheer number of votes on me make a whole lot more sense. Also, the people who voted on me. Thanks, that will help.

Sorry, I must have misunderstood how Khriss was listed when she died. I also wasn't super active early in the game and could easily have missed a lot of important bits and clarifications. I'm not 100 percent sure, and I've already shown I'm not an expert in the rules, but I believe someone said last cycle that the lynch is last in the order of actions.

Personally, Odium is more of a threat because they can shatter shards, not just kill people. But there was a mention of a faction when Hoid died. It said Axolotl was in the Ancients faction. Khriss was in a faction of her own (named after her), so either she was Solo or with one other person (likely Nahz if anyone). The Ancients as a faction seems to imply a group of people. They probably have a win condition of uniting a certain number of Shards, based on canonical knowledge. If they do have 3, that could mean they are close to finishing, which I'd rather stop. Also, I personally believe you worked a little too closely timing-wise with Axolotl for it to have been simple coincidence or that you were working together from different factions.

I have the most suspicion of Charcoal Hyena. I had seen a trend of Hyena voting closely after Axolotl, always on the same target. If Odium ended up with the Ancients, Hyena is likely one of them. Also, I agree with the assessment that Odium seems more bloodthirsty where they are, so should probably be found.

But you're an arachnid... You have four extra legs... But if you wish to assist us lizards, I won't argue too much.

My guess would be Odium passed to someone among the Ancient faction upon Hoid's death. Part of why people (at least to my understanding) thought it would go back to the original faction was that Hoid was factionless, and therefore Odium would go to the last faction who held it. That doesn't include the possibility that Axolotl invested someone last turn, or that Hoid hasn't passed to the Spiritual realm, so may possibly still possess Odium. Edit: Also, @A Joe in the Bush, the write-up says the day turn ends Sunday Jan 28.

If that were the case, you'd have willingly been lynched before. And you wouldn't be fighting this lynch as much as you are now.

Again, why me? How is my lynch a standard lynch? Literally the ONLY reason I'm up for lynch is because I was one of FIVE people who'd voted on Axolotl. There's been no other reason presented. Axolotl, however, has had several reasons. If it's information you want, what do you think you'll get from me? I've just started getting active, so there aren't really any connections to be drawn based on past interactions. I've not been a part of any discussion until this turn, after I placed my first vote of the game. I wouldn't be so frustrated if there was an actual reason for lynching me. But there isn't.

But why me? I've been little threat to anyone, besides having placed a vote on you.

Where the Shard ends up would largely depend on order of actions. If Axolotl has Odium, this would be their first opportunity to invest (if I skimmed the rules correctly). If the lynch takes place before investment, then it's a toss up. Have the GMs confirmed that it wouldn't go to a member of the faction who stole Odium if the holder were to die, or back to the original faction/invested person? At this point, part of my reasoning for wanting to lynch Axolotl was because no one seemed to be aligned with them. That alone would suggest some kind of neutral alignment. However, there have been several people coming out of the woodworks to protect Axolotl. That knowledge isn't enough to change my vote, but it makes me wonder why so many people are eager to save them. What kind of role or agreements do they have that make them useful, as Mouse said? For those voting on me, I ask one question. Why? I was one of five people who had a vote on Axolotl when the first vote was placed on me. If it's because you're aligned with Ax, I accept that. You're trying to save a friend. But if you aren't, what's the reasoning?

It was an honest question. I haven't looked much into Shardic roles, though with the extended cycle, I will do some research.

Activity in the thread isn't very indicative of overall activity. I know plenty of players stay quiet, but faithfully put in actions every turn. What kind of protections were available N1? No one, unless invested by a Shard during D1, would have had any sort of Feruchemical extra life.

I didn't know about it until very late in the night turn when I didn't have any opportunity to post, but it's all at least 2nd hand information. I waited until I could talk to more people about the speculations before putting down my vote. Willing to kill? Yes. Why not? Axolotl is not in my faction. I had information (though some are now backing off that speculation) that they might be a threat to not just my faction but any faction with a Shard. The thought that there even might be a role that could steal a Shard is enough for me to be willing to lynch over. But here's the biggest reason I've left my vote where it is: no one has presented a better option. No one has given evidence of another person that would have been more likely to steal a Shard. Find me a better option, and I might switch my vote.
