  1. How is it an easy claim when I'm pretty sure most people weren't thinking 3 village smokers and Vulture seems convinced there's an evil one? All signs point to the third smoker being evil. It's partially why I kept my vote on Swan (to kel's dismay :P). But you can see last turn when I asked about the Smokers, it was a bit of a soft because I was trying to figure out if I was wrong in assuming 2 village Smokers. I ended up just claiming to Vulture anyway but it was a bad path to go down because distro If you think I'm lying about the claim idk what to say about that, scan me, manip me, whatever, it'll be vanilla village and the manip wouldn't work :P. I hope tomorrow isn't lylo cause I think we lose if it is, everyone seems to be in agreement that I'm evil
  2. It wasn't to convince you, it was to make sure I wasn't crazy for thinking it meant e!Swan. (I'm a Smoker as well). What world does e!me claim that to you, knowing you just said you were confident in an elim Smoker and knowing Swan's flip? It doesn't happen.
  3. Sure, but if a case applies to multiple people you gotta be willing to vote all of them equally as much, imo. It gets selective and inconsistent if you don't. Looking at the why makes it different but Vulture didn't really do that.
  4. Idk even know what to think about that @Amber Vulture you elim read me and yet followed me onto Swan easier than I’d have thought— why did you seem to prefer Swan over me when I’d have guessed the opposite by a large margin? Edit: Weasel, where am I on your list?
  5. So were you. Falcon put you there as well. True, but I still think that C1 distancing would be a much more likely elim strategy than defending since Falcon hopped N1. You had Falcon as Light Elim iirc but were noncommital. It is off and hedgy :P. Working on it. So like sure exe me if you want but at least half of these points can be applied to you as well. Just making sure you understand that. How many village Smokers do people think is likely in a 15p game? I'm thinking two. Can that be agreed on, or is there no good way to guess a kel distro.
  6. Neither would I :P. Would resolve my slot, and then I wouldn't have to worry about finding time to do anything except chill in the dead doc Edit: I would of course do my best to not be exed, though, as my alignment is the only one I am sure of etc etc
  7. I continue to not have enough time to do all the things that I should be doing but sure sure this is fine xD Interestingly I think I vibe read you and Swan as e/e but idk if that actually holds up when you look at it closely, and I don't really e read you in particular. Also interestingly, I am good with the Weasel train as well as the Swan train despite the Weasel train being initiated by Swan. To me they're obviously not e/e. I don't really have a case as much as a... mass of feels. Which I get is unhelpful for anyone else, so I'll try to elaborate. As I've mentioned, I think my problem with Swan comes from their play seeming random, yet vying for thread control, but I can't really say I disagree with any of their points, which makes it hard to actually come up with a case :P. I think I prefer a 3-2 Weasel read since I do think there's ground to the Weasel case and I might have made it myself if Swan hadn't beat me to it. Like, when you elim read someone and they get exed, there's sometimes the moment in between threads where it's like... 'Oh, they're going to flip village, dang'. Like you can feel it, and then they do flip village. And sometimes there isn't that moment, and most of the time in that case you're right as well- with Swan, I feel like they're going to flip village, despite my read. Weasel I don't feel that as much, though they certainly could. So I like the VC being slightly in Weasel's favor so that I can watch how the thread progresses. Idk if any of that makes sense and I know it's funny that it sounds like I don't want Swan exed and honestly I don't know xD I've been more disengaged than I want to be and I don't have time for a full Swan ISO right now so this is where I'm at. A Swan or Weasel exe would be fine.
  8. What do you mean by that, is change bad? I have more time for this game that I did the previous cycles, so there might be a change but it’ll be for the better. Ironically I don’t have a lot of time today but this next week I do. I reread the post Weasel mentioned, having read it when they posted it as well, and to me it’s less of a reads list and more of an outline of facts about interactions with conclusions based on that. Which isn’t a bad thing, but isn’t the same thing either. Most of what I see in that post is summaries and interaction trackers— yes, there are paragraphs where Weasel pipes in with their conclusions but those conclusions are only about a select few players and none are really village reads. What I’m interested in is Weasel’s good and bad buckets, so to speak, and that post instead has a PoE of 5 that is figured to have 1-2 elims by Weasel themselves. So while that post is good, it’s not what I was asking about either. I actually think we could benefit from everybody making a similar list. I will as well, of course.
  9. Sorry I haven't really been playing this game since it started, I'll do better starting now. ...Starting tomorrow :P. Thoughts right now are that I'd like @Indigo Weasel to give reads because I don't think they've done so at any point in the game and I don't like that. I do suspect Swan a little bit, I think mostly due to the angles they're pushing being weirdly specific and kind of random, but a reread should help me refine that read. In short I'm alright with both existing trains but I do want to know what Vulture means regarding Dragonfly because I village read Dragonfly right now.
  10. Are we speaking to OG Falcon, or are you a second kandra? How many people do you have as teammates? Who are they? Why should the coinshot not kill you tonight? Favorite color? RP writing tips?
  11. To all the people clarifying why shooting Scorp is a bad idea: Yes, I agree, I didn't think through how e!Ostrich could accuse whoever and I agree that Scorp is village.
  12. I can believe that. My own read was like one thing one time, so not very concrete :P. It's why I didn't ever mention it. I dunno, honestly. The kandra mechanics have never been used before, and historically alignment scan results have immediately been accepted. It makes sense to me that they would just go for it, there's not really a loss to doing so unless we can kill the contact tonight. You're right about the protection though, but I don't think that's an excuse not to try.
  13. I agree on principle, but that forces me to assume Dingo is elim which I'm not really feeling (unless they're OG Falcon- I got similar tone/identity vibes from them as OG Falcon, I kinda want to call that now but we'll see :P) or that my village reads of you and Scorp are wrong, which I don't want to do with the current gamestate. Look at the VC, the elims didn't need to increase the credibility of the claim.
  14. I don't even think they have to be a Thug, it could go like this: OG Falcon hops into some poor soul, then PMs Ostrich yesterday (or just is Ostrich to begin with) and claims the scan. We learn it's fake now, and can pinpoint the false source but whoever it is can just get away tonight by hopping again. We should have been more careful. It's a simple, genius, and painfully obvious ploy. And we bought it instantly. Coinshot, if you exist, hit Ostrich's source once we learn who it is. I think Perfect Mimicry is last, right? You should be able to kill them tonight. If Ostrich doesn't have a source, target Ostrich.
  15. Terminally wrong indeed... @Magenta Albatross, I liked having you around, sorry about that. You took it very well. @Fuchsia Ostrich, what was that? Who was your contact? Course I do <3
  16. I like this post. It's a small thing, but it improves my read of you by itself. Cool, Albatross. No reason to doubt this when a fake redscan at this game state only would result in the Mistrunner contact immediately being killed. Unless you're kel. But kel is running the game. This wasn't a Tineye message anyway. You easily could be a different kandra than Falcon was.
  17. And yet Falcon made as many PMs as possible Croc claimed Tineye yesterday. I think I'm leaning more village on Croc now, and definitely leaning village on Scorp. I also am feeling village!Vulture and don't think the points on them hold a ton of ground. I know that I elim read Swan somewhat but I need to reread to refresh my memory on why- I think in part because of the Scorp vote, in my opinion that's the easy misexe route that elims would want to take. My dislike of Hyena is furthered for the same reason. So I'll probalby vote one of those two today, but I want to relook at Swan before I do anything. @Indigo Weasel, what are your reads? I don't recall you ever mentioning them.
  18. That’s cutting out the context of my vote/unvote and the rest of that post, which is not focused on Falcon. It’s also not considering my reads list in which I expressed uncertainty regarding Falcon. My view of preferring Scorp to Falcon shifted by rollover, ironically prompted by your mention of your PM with them, but I don’t think I can prove that because idk if the progression is anywhere but in my head. Last cycle my chosen order at rollover would have been Croc -> Hyena -> Falcon -> Scorp. Those last two were very close and also included mainly because they were candidates to begin with. In a similar vein, I lean village on Scorp for their interaction with Falcon about not wanting PMs.
  19. The timing of my post was, I initially was going to wait until I had time to go and reread C1 to mention it, but it’s something I’ve been thinking about since I saw Falcon’s flip. I haven’t had time to go back and reread C1 yet but I will later. That’s fair, but only in some cases Bussing has been a semi popular strategy as of late, but again that’s somewhat warped by Falcon hopping away.
  20. I’m not sure if we can profile this the same way, since elim behavior was likely changed by knowing that Falcon wouldn’t stay Falcon for very long. I’m not a huge fan of anticipating elim behavior but I don’t think that an elim would buddy up with Falcon in an obvious way immediately prior to their hop.
