I mean, looking at the post in question I'm not really wrong (Post in question) Similarities found: Now, I don't think that makes your reads any less legitimate, even if they might be less useful than they would be in your own words (unless they are in your own words ) and I don't want to imply that. I also don't think you're necessarily elim for this either. If you're elim for anything, it's for implying that my assumption was wrong when it clearly wasn't I also did a quick scan of your posts and I can't find where you clarified your approach, so could you kindly do that again?

I was wondering why I wasn't on the list :P. Why do people keep mentioning my Weasel vote? It was a poke. It was cast before anything had happened. I don't recall encouraging anyone to vote anyone at any point in the cycle, either.

That makes no sense, though, because my Weasel vote was a poke that was cast before developing any suspicions and came off the second I did. If this is a typo and you're referring to Croc instead of Weasel, then that also doesn't make much sense because I made my reasons for switching from Scorpion clear and I stated my Croc suspicion in my reads list, so it wasn't like it was new. It was near EoD, I was on mobile paying only half-attention, and I hadn't seen anyone besides me interested in a Hyena kill while Croc had other votes. Huh, well, ignore the first paragraph of this post then :P. Idk. I don't think I ever said the reasons for Scorp were bad reasons. My viewpoint did change based on comments from others and my own reflection, but that's not the same thing. I feel like I made my progression decently clear but I've had to explain it like three times so maybe not xD I changed my mind, that's all. It wasn't like I was planning to unvote Scorp at the time I cast my vote for them, otherwise why would I have cast the vote? That is... decidedly not what happened :P. I was definitely side-eyeing Scorp on my own (Exhibit A) but there were thoughts going through my head that weren't put in the thread that dated to before I had the time to make the post I linked. I would have voted Scorp right there whether Vulture did or not. Why do I need pressure to have suspicions or to cast a vote? (Just to be clear, when I cast my vote I thought Vulture was still voting you. That's why I picked you over Hyena so easily). I like the rest of that post. Makes me reconsider Vulture (and you, somewhat), which I probably need, on both counts. Vulture never supported a tie, to be fair. They didn't unvote, yeah, but no one else did either, and Vulture made it clear they'd rather someone was exed. Pretty sure Scorp's 'list' is c/pd from AG Hyena, to stall any confusion. But it might just not be, I didn't check :P.

What are those reasons, then? Keeping them to yourself only serves for confusion and makes people like myself not take said reads that seriously.

Blind accusation. Cool Idk what you want me to say when your argument is ‘elims give reads lists D1’ and you cite two recent examples of elims doing just that. It looks like that form of effort is elim meta, which is disappointing, but like if you want to kill me because I told y’all my thoughts on everybody then go ahead :P. I’ll be afk for awhile, sorry

Your first post about this seemed to say that you found it suspicious that I had details about everybody, and now it’s suspicious that I don’t have details? Which is it? A reads list with everybody but not with reasons on everybody is effectively not a readslist with everybody, and indeed I didn’t have anything about some nulls and little about a few other people Which I guess is your point, but in all honesty I just cpd the player list and went down the line filling it in. Please don’t sus me for effort :P. Elims like PMs, especially kandras. Roleclaims might be in inherited PMs. PMs offer grounds for manipulation. Plus, I’d be kinda surprised if there was only one Tineye, though I think this is the smallest Tyrianish game I’ve played. I don’t think elims are likely to attack Croc because Croc is either an elim or their misexe potential. Also remember that a vote manipper could have hit a Smoker.

Take another look at that list and tell me how many of those reads are much more than ‘uh… I feel this way :)’. None of the reads are strong, but everyone has posted and that means everyone has some amount of content to read It’s not like I’m the first person to post a reads list D1, either.

The answer is yes, if you get my meaning Four is 36%, which seems high, and I think the bodyhopping mechanic would equate to a lower percentage before a higher one.

25% evil is about standard, so I'd guess 3 elims with 1 kandra, but kel likes non-standard distros so who knows. Maybe I could see 2 elims and 2 kandra, but 15% as a starting percentage is real low. Edit: I'd missed Vulture's vote change until just now, and their vote was largely why I went Croc over Hyena. Interestingly, I'm finding myself preferring Swan to Falcon, but I'm not sure how far I want to go with that suspicion when it doesn't feel warranted to me.

I mean, sure, but what’s gained by purposely acting suspicious? There’s no reason for a villager to want to do that that I can think of, but there’s no reason for an elim to either. Having slept on it and relooked at the thread, along with reading comments from Meerkat and Vulture, I’m less confident about Scorpion, not that I was mega-confident to begin with. Right now I could go Croc or Hyena. I still prefer Scorp to Falcon so I’ll switch back later if the trains remain as they are.

>> Thank you. (Apologies to kel). For clarity: Weasel, Scorpion Current (Largely Memory Based) Reads: Albatross- Say more things, I like you Pretty solid gut village at the moment, particularly like their comments about poke votes, even if I don't necessarily agree. Aknoweldging that this read is more village than it deserves to be. Ninja'd me with a slight mindmeld on Swan, which helps my village read. (At the time of Alb posting, I was typing up my Scorp read, having finished the bullet points up to there). Meerkat- Decent comment, but it is just a single comment. They've been around, since they replied to the Falcon-Meerkat-me PM, and even though it's logistically NAI I don't love that they haven't posted anything else. Crocodile- Still think it's strange that they mentioned a small desire to be kandra'd despite choosing a playstyle that is hard to imitate, though I'm not reading that as elim as I was when the exchange happened. I do get a negative gut from their first post(s) and think it'd be funny to exe the Croc D1 again but at the moment I think they're my 2nd or 3rd choice. I arrogantly thought I had ID'd them, but their timezone comment seems to break the theory so I won't even mention it :P. Swan- I feel like I'm mindmelding with Swan, but not necessarily in post content. I feel like we have a very similar tone. Which is a weird thing to read and only can happen in an anon game but if I wasn't me I might guess that Swan was me, if that makes sense xD But content-wise they're probably a Null+; I like the kinds of things they're saying but they also could be interpreted as selective, and ironically I kind of read their posts and vote on Falcon as what they accused Falcon for (trying to appear villagery while sliding past some discussion). Dingo- Posted once (@Melon Dingo), responding to some NAI parts of Croc's post. Which is weird in a Dingo/Croc e/e sort of way but I won't go there until we get a flip from one of them. Weasel- You seem new(ish) here, welcome! :D. I like your approach to solving, but you give an experienced vibe so I might be keeping a closer eye on you than I might for someone else, even if I probably should keep equally close eyes on everyone :P. But Light Village for now. Their recent points on Falcon are valid, but I... also don't read the situation that way, I guess? Idk, I'm more of a tone reader who supports with content and logic and that only works some of the time. Mouse- @Azure Mouse come join the party! Falcon- I think their PMing is NAI, and that there are valid arguments for it being villagery and for it being elimmy. I lean towards gut/tone reading them village, but that has little to do with the PMing itself, coming more from their other comments. A better exe today than some, but not the best imo. Hyena- Most of their village reads are based around mostly nonexistent reasons, but they're passed as legitimate reasons, and I don't like that. Mild elim here. The same can be said about their vote on Weasel, though idk if an elim would pick to vote Weasel with this gamestate. Beagle- Mostly null, I think people are giving them too much credit for their first post (or at least I perceive credit being given there). That isn't Beagle's fault though. Scorpion- They're genuinely suspicious to me, which is... rare? In this way, at least. An explanation for their early posts is that they're kandra trying to muddy the waters for a body swap, which would be convenient. I guess I don't get how their page one posts come from a villager, with the multiple half-contradictions including the Alb vote. Nothing adds up here for me, which works as a D1 exe. Ostrich- Just posted RP, right? @Fuchsia Ostrich Dragonfly- I think one NAI post, similar to Ostrich. @Ivory Dragonfly Vulture- Feel pretty good reading Vulture village, we've mindmelded on multiple points and I like their approach and tone. Open to revision later. TL;DR (ordered within tiers): Village: Vulture, Alb, Weasel Light Village/Null+: Falcon, Swan Null: Beagle, Meerkat, Dingo Low/No Posters: Ostrich, Dragonfly, Mouse Null-/Light Elim: Croc, Scorp Jack Ladrian raised his right eyebrow at this Cody Eight, making sure the man was on Jack's left side so that the gesture went unnoticed. 'I suppose I could humor the man', Jack thought, 'even if I seem to be taking this a lot more seriously than he is'. It couldn't hurt to make acquaintances with the other Mistrunners. Until it did. Jack had heard enough stories to know that this wouldn't end with someone being stabbed in the back. He hoped it wouldn't be his back, but there was little he could do about that. Remaining unattached might help... Sighing softly, Jack opted to engage in light conversation anyway. "Jack," he said simply. He left it at that, since he was only posed the one question.

I think it’s NAI if anything… opening PMs isn’t something that typically gets a village read so there wouldn’t be an obvious gain for e!Falcon to take up this endeavor. I don’t see why a villager would be kayana enough to do it either, which is why I think it’s NAI. Apologies for my pop-in-with-random-comments playstyle; IRL circumstances make longer and more defined posts harder than usual (good IRL circumstances though ) but I have been reading the thread and I’ll hopefully put out a somewhat cohesive reads list later tonight.

Huh, I’d assumed that your tone was chosen specifically because it’d be hard to impersonate, thus signifying you don’t want to be.

Well, yeah. All I’m trying to say is that there’s never a given time for the body swaps to occur. I don’t love the idea of assuming the elims do anything, most of the times I’ve done that I was dead wrong and doing so here could lead down rabbit holes. I’m not saying we shouldn’t look, but I don’t want to decide the posts from kandra’s first account were meant to mislead without seeing what those posts were first. Like, I could see that being Scorp, but kandra!me probably wouldn’t play any different from normal elim!me. I do think that there’s kandra, definitely. Kas wouldn’t design this and go through the effort of running an anon game without including the main mechanic that makes it such

Nope. They typically aren't, keeps us guessing Illogical... how exactly? Meta is helpful, but it's an anonymous game and that's the entire point. (Well, the point here is the kandra mechanic but you get what I mean. Normally anon games don't have a feature that require the anon accounts) Liking what I've seen from Swan and Vulture though I'm worried I didn't look close enough and just bounced off the general agreement we seem to be having. More people should show up, that'd be nice.

A N1 hop gives less time for a strong tone to develop though, and as a result, an easier hop. As it was with the Fang mechanic used in a recent game, there are pluses and minuses to both options. Guess we’ll see.

Eh, I’d rather make an effort to keep this game somewhat anonymous So I’m much more inclined to follow Vulture’s train of thought here. Scorp

Weasel hasn’t posted? Not sure what you mean here. My read of you is less elim and more just eh and I typically don’t like to cast a serious vote based off of only one post, especially in a game without meta knowledge. Also don’t know what this means. You’re quoting Swan, but I’m the one voting Weasel. I’d attribute that to a name mixup but you mention me as well, and you mention me doing something I never did. How can I give posts of note to Weasel when Weasel hasn’t posted? Together this post doesn’t make any sense.

There are a depressing number of RP characters to be had… though admittedly I too feel unfamiliar with the setting and also might just leave Ladrian’s fate up to kel. And the rest of you. Currently disliking Scorp for a couple bad reasons: Apparently not checking the player list before voting, seemingly considering not exeing, little things like that. Dunno what to make of their font size changing mid-post but I doubt that means anything. Weasel
