  1. No way, who could've predicted that! Almost like we should let PRs self-resolve! C'mon y'all. Get it together. @Charcoal Hyena and @Fuchsia Ostrich where were you yesterday. @Mint Heron and @Ivory Dragonfly why were you voting a PR claim, and specifically to Ivory Dragonfly - why were you voting a PR claim that I missed and you had to point out to me? @Mauve Crocodile why do you think there was a vote negated on your wagon? I really need town to step it up a bit here, because I am finding it so hard to have even semi-confident townreads, and I really prefer to play by PoE rather than hunt for elims, so this is absolutely tanking my solving ability here. Tonight, town needs to refocus and look back over the previous days. We now know wagons on d1 were v/v. I'd lean towards whoever broke the tie close to EoD being town (Charcoal Hyena I think?), since v/v wagons would mean an elim wouldn't really care about that. At the very least, read through the spoiler in this post by Coral Swan, which has a pretty good recap of day 1's events. I will eventually get around to my own re-reading of the days, but I'm low effort this game, sorry. ... The locals seem to have lost their minds. I couldn't do much other than sit and watch, since they had seemingly not understood my points. I put my head in my hands and sigh, wishing I could get out of this nightmare. I find there is a major issue with this town. That is the lack of working together to solve. Perhaps many have decided that whispered conversations away from the others were a better means of finding the saboteurs. But this death is truly a slap in the face. In a flash of anger, I stand up. "All of you need to get ahold of yourselves and actually commit to solving these murders," I shout across the room. Silence falls, and I blink, surprised at myself. Pretty uncharacteristic of me, but I meant it. This town is doomed to fall to the saboteurs at this rate. I quickly slide back into my seat and pretend my outburst didn't exist. Perhaps this will help everyone start discussing the murders in more depth.
  2. Unordered in tiers. Give or take. No idea what VC is at in terms of who is top wagon. gl.
  3. No more RPing from me today. Considering no one claimed a shot on Hayden, it's likely he was the elim NK. He is likely town. As a wolf, he has zero endgame equity. Please vote your top suspect over the PR. If Hayden flips town PR at any point, kill everyone who tried to push him. Ty. Yes. Something I look for in pairing people is if they talk a lot to each other without making an attempt to solve each other.
  4. It should be a night action. Expand on this, please. What gives you that impression?
  5. This is exhausting me. Too much social interaction for one day. Comments have come up about the drunk man surviving and if he is a saboteur. I believe there would have likely been more of a push for the gambler to die over the drunk man if the drunk man was a saboteur. It is unlikely they attack their own in order to clear that person on the first night, in my opinion. Keep in mind that a cleared slot has zero endgame equity, like most PR claims. However, I agree that the two would make sense as saboteurs together if either were revealed to be a saboteur. It's a point that came up earlier today, and Acks repeating it is slightly questionable for the lack of original thought. That feeling is disappears slightly as Acks continues: This is also a thought I had and discarded. I'd probably consider it a point in their favor. I think this is incorrect - I swapped my "everyone else" line for the list of names who were just everyone else, so they were all null. Mauve Crocodile, going back to what I originally thought coming into today, but I am also fine with the Ivory Dragonfly suspicions. This is far too difficult for me to sort through. I usually don't have this much trouble figuring out who is likely innocent. I cannot say that the state of things is very favorable towards solving right now, and such a wide spread of votes is not a great sign at this point. I can't recall who has not said anything today, but it feels as if there's fewer voices contributing to the discussion now.
  6. It's very rare that saboteurs would pass up the option to murder someone quietly in the night. I would almost never consider this to be the case, hence why I considered if they did not have the opportunity to murder someone during the night first. My initial thought had been perhaps someone had saved their choice for night kill, but that is not possible given someone likely would've ran screaming into the inn talking about an attempt on their life, much like the drunk man had. So for a while, I'd thought there was a missing kill. My confusion on this topic was cleared up by the little girl, who had been paying more attention than me the day before. Embarrassing, honestly, how bad I am at picking up on details sometimes. Which means I accidentally had sided with the saboteurs yesterday. I shake my head. Despite the priest's questionable comments at the start of the night, this is a good point they raise. A similar question could be asked to Mint Heron if they had picked up on the drunk man being a PR. I obviously did not, because I am often an idiot. However, any who were aware of the claim likely should've moved off the wagon. I note that the merchant (@Fuchsia Ostrich) has been very quiet lately. For a man who was talking so much at the start of yesterday, this silence is concerning to me. I also find there has been a lack of discussion around Acks recently, who was a major topic of discussion yesterday. Since it was likely both wagons were innocent, those moving off of accusing Acks in favor of the gambler or drunk are perhaps questionable.
  7. OOC: I don't have the energy to write, sorry. As usual, my lack of reading comprehension wins again. Thanks for clarifying, I didn't notice it at all yesterday somehow. That does clear up my confusion a lot.
  8. I don't sleep much that night. Between being approached with questions, and the stress of the day's events, I spend most of my time staring at the ceiling, awake, until I eventually drift off. In the morning, I'm woken by noise. Shouts from the main room of the inn. I make my way there cautiously, not sure if there's danger or not. A quick scan of the room tells me that there's no violence going on. At least, right now. I notice a short message scribbled on the wall and smile. At least someone around here has a sense of humor. Back to the chaos. The drunk man, attacked? That's somewhat surprising to me. I'd expect that was the work of a Coinshot, specifically an innocent-aligned Coinshot trying to resolve the other person who had been accused a lot. It's unlikely that the saboteurs would attempt to murder someone who had almost died the day before, unless they thought he was powerful. I also find it unlikely that anyone would attempt to save someone in his position, so chances are high that he is a Thug. That's certainly interesting. I will note now that I'd originally thought the drunk man was highly unlikely ever able to burn metals, since he did not claim when under high amounts of pressure. Regardless of if the saboteurs could burn metals as well, meaning that a claim isn't necessarily clearing. I don't find his survival to be indicative of if he is innocent or not, but perhaps could explain why the saboteurs did not attempt to influence the votes if he is a saboteur, knowing that he would live. However: To which, I'm not sure what this attack would be classified as now. Picking up on details is not exactly a strength of mine. If this was an attack made by saboteurs, that's... certainly a choice, I suppose. That means either: 1. He is a Thug and was shot by either an innocent or a saboteur. 2. He was protected by a Lurcher (and shot by either an innocent or a saboteur). I suppose it could be both. Would I be correct to assume that the saboteurs have some factional ability to kill innocents during the night? If not, my assumptions are wildly off. I didn't see a direct mention of it when I checked, but it is alluded to and very standard. Hopefully someone is able to clarify if I'm arriving at the correct conclusions. Moving on to my thoughts. I haven't had the chance to think about the previous day much. I've been simply too exhausted, and hopefully will get around to it at some point today. At this point, my list of who is innocent and who is not ends up looking like:
  9. Well, my initial assumptions were incorrect. I believe that's what the kids call "skill issue" on my part. With that violence over, things get quieter at the inn. I'm a bit uneasy about it. I've seen my fair share of fights across my travels - even participated in some before - but it does not bode well here. I worry that there was a saboteur pushing for this to happen. At some point, I'll ideally get the chance to recount the day's events to myself to see what truly happened, since my memory is a bit muddled right now. Despite the late hour, discussion still continues at the inn. I'm back to sitting in the corner again, back against the wall, eyes glancing at the door every couple seconds. Still trying to calm myself down. Situations like these aren't good for someone who gets stressed easily, like me. A voice floats over the general noise in the inn: My head snaps across the room to find who said this. It doesn't take me long - there's some person who has been referred to as a priest by a couple of the locals here, standing on the far side, loudly pronouncing that they had thought the gambler to be innocent. This sets off every possible alarm possible in my head, because they did not mention this at any point, and the gambler was under pressure all day. It reads as a credit grab in a way, pretending they knew the gambler was innocent, just not saying anything until after the man's death. Just not a great look. Why didn't they mention this, if the gambler was the only one they found innocent? To put it simply, they had all day to defend someone who was clearly under pressure and did not, and claim after the gambler is dead that they would've defended him. This is not behavior a member of the innocent party displays. For reference, everything they said yesterday: post 1, post 2, post 3, post 4, post 5, post 6, with this response as additional context is not a good look (and likely slightly unpairing). Tomorrow, I would look at several of those who have not contributed much to solving, along with the merchant (Fuchsia Ostrich), and the so-called priest (Mauve Crocodile), at the very least. I have concerns with the majority of those I have seen at the inn, honestly. Hopefully tomorrow, some who did not speak much will contribute more to the discussion, and that will help me sort who is innocent from who is not.
  10. I'd be interested to work together with someone who I believe is not a saboteur. Perhaps tomorrow, if possible. Magenta Albatross (3): Azure Mouse, Cream Tuatara, Charcoal Hyena Cream Tuatara (3): Emerald Falcon, Mint Heron, Magenta Albatross Charcoal Hyena (1): Mauve Crocodile Indigo Weasel (1): Melon Dingo Melon Dingo (1): Ivory Dragonfly Mint Heron (1): Indigo Weasel Mauve Crocodile (1): Amethyst Scorpion (Let it rand. (Actually I have no idea if it would rand) gl)
  11. I'm fine with that. I note the votes moving off of the quiet man, who seems to have slipped back into being forgotten. I'd be fine with last minute pressure here. I'd probably cross off my main assumption of the gambler and drunk man being partnered, outside of saboteurs accusing each other early with the intent to let the other take the blame and have credit later, if the drunk man continues to accuse the gambler here past when the day ends. To keep anyone from screwing up this, I could consider switching to accusing the gambler here.
  12. I feel fine with where my accusations are for today. Nothing they've said has made me change my mind in the slightest. While I still can't keep track of who is who fully, there's a couple names who I think have been underwhelming and are worth looking at tomorrow.
  13. Mm. He's not wrong about my suspicion of him. Although, I don't follow what else he's talking about. (I didn't read into the details about if there are roles or anything, honestly). I don't have anything to say, not quite following his line of thought. I feel that he's doubled back on himself here, but can't be bothered to recall if that's true. I could ask him about his other suspects and who he thinks isn't a saboteur, but I'm not sure that conversation would go anywhere. Plus, you know. Talking requires effort. Most of his thoughts seemed centered on the same group, who I've called all saboteurs together and still find it amusing the way they dance between accusing and ... whatever the opposite of accusing is, with each other. I see no reason why he isn't a saboteur here. His reasoning is nonexistent, and he does not seem to have an interest in actually solving the mystery. Despite having noted it twice now, the gambler (Magenta Albatross) and the drunk (Cream Tuatara) continue their little dance of not actually solving the other. Going further off of that, I still do not believe either of them are approaching this mystery in a way that shows they are innocent and want to find who is truly behind all of this. I find it hard to believe that the group of Acks (Coral Swan) / Alais (Magenta Albatross) / Hayden (Cream Tuatara) is pure and devoid of saboteurs. I'd also appreciate it if anyone has been keeping track of who is currently accusing who (votecount), to see who everyone is currently leaning towards being a saboteur.
  14. I'm fine with that. It's good enough reasoning for me right now. My attention wanders for a while, until I'm approached by yet another person. I seem to be getting popular for some reason, which isn't my favorite thing. Too socially anxious, there's a reason I travel and avoid people as much as I can. Perhaps they've noticed I'm an outsider and are curious, which (unfortunately for me) happens a lot. Oh well. Social interaction will help me solve this mystery. I shift away from the man. It's the drunk man who I'm thinking is a saboteur, currently. I shake my head, and look past him, back at the room. Something's caught my attention again. It's giving standard distancing vibes again. My opinion on the drunk is definitely going down. Continuing that line of thought: Followed by: I'm not sure they could look more partnered to me. If either of them were to end up being a saboteur, I'd immediately look at the other. Their interactions don't feel natural - no drive to figure out if the other is a saboteur. It's setting off all the warning bells in my head. The one who offered me an apple earlier seems to have caught on to something about someone else: I smile slightly, pleased that my assumptions with their little game were correct. It's cute, almost. The merchant in the corner seems to have fallen asleep, and awoken without much thought on the mystery. I make note that I'd drop him into the pool of those who I believe could be saboteurs, mostly because he still has no drive to solve: It would be one thing if he gave even a surface thought about others around him, but the lack of so makes me squint slightly. Definitely on my list of people to watch. I spend some time thinking. There's some newcomers around, which helps me with sorting who could be a saboteur and who is unlikely to be. Quite a few people have showed up now, and I've already mixed up a couple names in my head trying to figure out who is who. I reiterate to myself that my main suspicions are on the quiet man (Coral Swan), the gambler, (Magenta Albatross), and the drunk man (Cream Tuatara). I should probably refer to people by their names as I pick up on them, if I'm being honest. Moving on: I find this ok. It's a good nudge. I don't feel it's anything clearing of being a saboteur or not, though. More just simply ok. One of the other newcomers, a man who had quickly slipped in and seemed jumpy, had some attention on two others who I'm feeling ok about. Not finding them that cleared of being a saboteur, but not finding them suspicious, to be specific. I watch the man quietly from across the room. It's intriguing to me how the man seemed to be calling someone else out for something he himself was pretty much doing (re: bold). It pings me slightly, and I make a mental note to also watch this newcomer. Probably around the same tier as the merchant, if I were tiering my list of who's likely to be a saboteur and who isn't. I am curious why he chose to primarily suspect and accuse the one giving apples over the other one, though. Across the room, I hear the little girl echoing the same thoughts I'm having about the nervous man: I nod to myself, liking that we've reached a similar conclusion. It's in no way clearing, though, but it's a slight plus. I haven't minded her presence that much either. I don't mind this comment by the quiet lurker, who is back to looking around again. Specifically: I find this to be a good line of thought, not likely to be from a saboteur. I revisit my mental collection of notes (getting a bit jumbled in my head now, honestly. I should invest in writing tools): It's likely I'm giving the one who gives out apples too much of a pass, but I like their little gimmick. It isn't the approach I'd generally expect from someone who is a saboteur. Draws too much unwanted attention, as seen by the accusations from the skittish man (Melon Dingo). For now, it's fine. I'll admit I have some paranoia with seeing a couple others who hold the same sentiment about the drunk man as I do, though. Perhaps the saboteurs see me accusing someone who is innocent and wish to jump on the bandwagon with me. Makes me nervous, but then again, this kind of thing always does. This is what happens when you're wrong about people a lot of the time, and accidentally side with the wrong kind of people too much. I would appreciate if it everyone in the inn would give a short list of their current opinions by the end of the day, as I've seen a lot of accusations and suspicion thrown around, but not a lot of figuring out who is innocent. I'd like to see who people are crossing off their lists of being a suspect, as well as who they believe are saboteurs.
  15. While I'm sitting there, someone else approaches. Seems to want to give me an apple? I don't really like apples, so I shrug and pick the second one. This gimmick feels very slightly unlikely to be a saboteur, and I have a feeling I see what they're doing. I'm not quite sure what this means, whether it's about me or not. If it is about me, I don't feel my intention there was to accuse, simply just to understand their thoughts in more depth. I'd likely appreciate some clarification here. I make a mental list of everyone who I've seen so far and my thoughts on them, with least likely to be a saboteur at the top, and most likely at the bottom: I add a notation that, out of the 15 people I've seen around in the town, I'd expect there to be three saboteurs. However, I doubt I'm currently correct on all three who I believe could be saboteurs right now.
  16. Something curious catches my attention: Someone watching who doesn't give much thought behind an accusation with not much explanation to it. I'm curious as to why they're suspicious of the quiet person. Just a random suspicion, or was there a reason behind it? There's a few other things I've noticed while watching: The gambler seems to not feel any pressure, which I consider to be an ok look. I'd expect a saboteur to flail a bit more under pressure, even if it's just a single person focused on them. However, he doesn't seem to address the person despite the accusatory gaze I'd expect he's noticed, so this point may not mean much. I note it to myself regardless. The drunk man gives off weird vibes. Call it my intuition, maybe, but something feels off about him. Specifically, I dislike their response to the gambler about who the saboteur is - it's a bit deflective, perhaps? I've never been good with explaining my reasoning. In addition, it's almost like he's solving without actually solving, which I note mostly from the way he's scanning the room without providing any thoughts. A thought occurs to me that the drunk man could be in league with the gambler. Their conversation follows a concept I'd expect to see from two saboteurs talking, which is to say they both talk without actively trying to determine if the other is a saboteur. I have some experience with picking up on things like this, and it definitely catches my attention. Another thing I note down the way the gambler seems far too eager to accuse others of being a saboteur, something I'd thought about earlier. I watch him and the drunk man cross the room to speak to the quiet man sitting at the bar. It's curious how the drunk seems to ease off of his suspicion quickly, and I recall having seen two saboteurs do that together, but I doubt that three saboteurs would sit together and talk like this. I find the drunk (@Cream Tuatara) and gambler (@Magenta Albatross) to be far more paired as saboteurs than either of them with the quiet man, but I'd likely put the drunk (@Cream Tuatara) as paired with the quiet man (@Coral Swan) for this looking like standard distancing between saboteurs (accuse, then stop accusing over literally nothing, in this case). However, I again note that I'd find it hard to believe that all three of them are saboteurs together talking like this. It's possible, though, and I feel that they all don't seem to be actually solving. If I were to accuse someone directly of being a saboteur, it would be Hayden (@Cream Tuatara), who I think would work in either pairing so far and therefore has highest equity to be a saboteur right now. As I'm caught up in keeping track of my observations, someone nearby speaks, startling me slightly. The man talking to me gives off ok vibes at a glance - I'd seen the way he looked at the inactive lurkers around the room, which I don't mind. It's good to encourage more conversation in a situation like this. A kettle? I don't have a kettle. I shake my head and don't say anything.
  17. Usually I'd wait to see if anyone else showed up to the inn, but it seems to have gotten a bit quieter around here, and I'm drawn to the atmosphere of the place. And by the food. It'll also give me a good opportunity to take a look at everyone in the inn. Even as an outsider to the village, I figure it's in my best interests to help find the saboteurs. It should keep me from getting bored, at the very least. I currently have the energy to start looking for saboteurs, and I decide that people will forgive me for intruding on their space this much in a short amount of time as long as I'm contributing to the hunt. I slip in through the door and find a table to myself off to the side, partially concealed in the shadows. A good spot for someone like me. I settle in, ask for some food, and start observing the many people in the inn. A few things stand out to me as I watch: The person who I had noticed earlier is there, staring across the room at a man. I've decided already that the lurker (@Azure Mouse) I'd seen earlier was unlikely to be a saboteur, on a fairly weak basis. I can't be certain yet, but I like what I've seen from them so far. They're watching a loud man (@Magenta Albatross) who I could hear from outside the inn talking about making bets on who is sabotaging the town - perhaps suspicious. I find myself watching him for a while, noticing that he starts accusing a quiet man (@Coral Swan) sitting at the bar, who hasn't caught my attention yet. Perhaps this is some kind of early way to test reactions by throwing around suspicion, perhaps not. I make a note to keep an eye on the large gambler, who bothers me slightly. The merchant (@Fuchsia Ostrich) seems fully uninterested in solving the mystery, not even mentioning it once despite their constant stream of yapping, seeming to prefer to sell their wares. Perhaps avoiding trying to find the saboteurs is something a saboteur would do, but I can't be certain yet given that he's only been in the inn for a short amount of time. They don't currently bother me, so I turn my attention elsewhere. I scan the room absently, noting a couple of the others in the room, pausing on a young girl (@Ivory Dragonfly) and a drunk man (@Cream Tuatara), both near the gambler. They both don't seem to be doing much right now - the drunk seems to want to be left alone, and the girl is won't shut up on about something to do with her parents. Eventually, I find myself looking back at the lurker who's still glaring daggers across the room at the large man. Perhaps someone worth talking to. Maybe I could invite them to my table to talk? As I consider whether it's worth the anxiety of talking to someone to get up and ask, I do a quick count of who's in the inn right now. Not very many, currently. I'd guess there's likely others who aren't in the inn who I should look at, but perhaps they'll show up later. It's definitely going to confuse me if more people arrive, considering that I've already confused myself on who is who here a couple times already. Guess I might be stuck here for a while.
  18. I'm not really sure what I'm doing here in this little village. It seems lively, at least, but there's been a building tension I've noticed in the air. The residents seem tense and wary, always looking over their shoulders and whispering furiously to each other. I've been here for a couple days, avoiding others and keeping to myself, listening to the rumors that have been going around. I'm not exactly one for social interaction - a bit shy, mostly. I prefer to observe things from a distance, and so I do, leaning against a building not far away from a nearby inn that my attention is drawn to. I'd guess there's the inn is fairly packed from the amount of noise I can hear, and I've watched a couple interesting people walk in, including a merchant who seems eager to capitalize on profits even in these times. It's a bit intimidating, so I don't move. At some point, I'll likely be forced to join the others in the inn, as I haven't found any other accommodations in the village, and it's probably best that I keep myself up to date with what's going on here. Despite the ominous rumors going around what there's someone out there trying to sabotage the village, no one has really caught my attention so far, except a person who had recently entered the inn who I had seen lurking in the shadows earlier. They strike me in a positive way, though, not seeming like one of the saboteurs with how eager they seem to hunt for the saboteurs. Nothing too interesting, but I make note of it. I suspect if there's anything else going on here, I'll have trouble figuring it out, given how much I struggle with interpreting others' words sometimes.
  19. well I guess you could say this game sure wasn't... flipless ba dum tss ok I will see myself out now bye
  20. well I didn't get to play much and honestly I'm fine with that I do feel a wee bit chuffed that not only was my D1 trust PM all villagers but specifically the exact list of 4 players who an elim circa D1 highlighted as "dangerous; will need to kill at some point" anyways v well played to the active spiked for getting this far Beagle especially obviously, I was rooting for you <3 But also Alb and Vulture Those of you who were in the dead doc have already seen it once (perhaps your powers have doubled since then!), but for old time's sake, I leave you all with a final prequel meme to contemplate as you all await the fabulous ending: May it make you all strong and wise, and may the luckiest team win
