  1. Wonderful game, Fifth and El! I'm glad I got the chance to participate. I do wish I hadn't gotten ill in the middle of it. Even though my activity didn't drop a ton, my mental capacity and awareness fell through the floor. It became a game of catch-up after that. @Emerald Falcon and @Magenta Albatross, thanks for letting me join your RP! Sorry I didn't contribute more to that. Loved the Destiny crossover. Albatross, you did amazing outside of that. I don't blame you for getting me killed. I'd likely have done the same in your position. Congrats to all the elims. You played a fantastic mind game, intentional plays or not. It's always good to see an elim team willing to take some risks. @Fifth Scholar, could we possibly get an unspoilered player list for the voting process?
  2. Wow. I'm all sorts of confused about timeline. I can't keep my days straight. However, I feel the correct timeline makes this more suspicious. It was as if trusted elim!Falcon was trying to silence one who had expressed suspicion of a teammate. Yes, I participated in that lynch. I had really only been able to skim the thread, and didn't find where Gecko talked about Octopus until after both were dead. Your reasoning seemed sound at the time, and I've been ignoring my gut read because I didn't have anything to back it up. We're at the point, though, that gut reads are almost all we have.
  3. Ah. That makes sense. Like I said to Falcon, if I weren't me, I'd be perfectly okay with lynching me based on my past posts. I've played terribly. But until then, I'm going to do my best to help find the actual elim(s). Meerkat and Falcon being my top suspects.
  4. Yes, my read on Octopus doesn't look good, but how else was I supposed to read them? From the little I remembered of their posts, they had good analysis, contributions, and overall I had a village read. I was wrong, but that happens to everyone, not just elims. Also, what do you mean by praising my actions as village? I don't think I've been praising any of my actions, as I constantly feel I haven't done anything, let alone anything helpful.
  5. I'm doing a reread of the thread, and honestly? I'd lynch me if I weren't me. I had some unfortunate reads and an overall a lack of contribution toward catching any elims. On to something productive, my analysis post-thread read. I made notes of things that related to elims or players still alive, ignoring most posts by the village dead. Summary of reads: Falcon: Neutral to elim. They've had a lot of good suggestions, but I'm mostly off-put by their lynch on Gecko. They pointed out how Gecko was suspicious of Octopus, but then pushed for their lynch after Octopus flipped elim. Rhino was super hedgy regarding Falcon, and Octopus always put them in the suspicious category. However, Octopus never did so in a way that would guarantee the lynch, and always backed off if it appeared to become a real threat. Weasel: Neutral. Not a ton of content, but I disagree with a lot of their suggestions so far. Not necessarily elim, but likely a difference in style. Albatross: Village obvs. Crocodile: Village lean. Despite their D3 suggestion, they haven't done anything overtly suspicious. Also was never counter-claimed for killing Rhino. Heron: Neutral. Not enough data. Flamingo: Neutral. Not enough data. Iguana: Neutral to Village. I was reminded of my suspicions of a bus, and some of Rhino's posts regarding Iguana seemed hedgy. That was probably more a way to distance from a bad lynch, while still pushing for it. Kangaroo: Neutral. Not enough data. Meerkat: Neutral to elim. Read Octopus as village in a distancy way. They did say they wanted to look into Rhino and Toucan, but never did. Granted, Rhino was revealed before they really got the chance, and life happens. Toucan: Neutral to village. Octopus considered them suspicious, but otherwise not a lot of data. Axolotl: Neutral to elim. Their D2 vote didn't make sense, but otherwise not a lot of data. @Emerald Falcon, slowly, but surely. It wasn't so much an octopus analysis but a thread-read. Unfortunately, that leads me to being most suspicious of you and Meerkat. I think I'd rather have you scanned than killed, though, since you have been contributing a lot. Meerkat
  6. Not really. We've had two successful lynches and two successful Dustbringers. By contrast, we've had several kills on villagers, while only one (successful) lynch of a villager. The unsuccessful one also counts in the failed Dustbringer category. Crocodile isn't worth a lynch at this point, though maybe a Skybreaker could confirm. I'll try to get around to looking at Octopus's posts today, as well as putting down some analysis/reads on the rest of the players.
  7. I may have missed something while I was sick, but I really don't understand the Lion lynch. The two or so people who listed a reason the cycle Lion was lynched stated it was because of their suspicion on you. Lion wasn't the first to bring it up, yet the only one getting attacked for it. Aside from that, the very first thing Rhino did the next day cycle was to push for a Lion lynch before he was outed. Do you really think Rhino would go for a bus that early when we suspect there are only a couple elims left? Please explain your suspicions on Lion, and why you believe they are still the best lynch candidate.
  8. I'll join the Gecko lynch. I've looked back on some of their and Rhino's posts. Gecko was one of two (?) people Rhino called out specifically after being outed. Rhino said something to the order of Gecko not mentioning Rhino, which could have been a distancing effort. I also don't like that Gecko is insistent that Lion is elim.
  9. I wasn't actually suspicious of Chameleon, just refuting suggestions that they were cleared for Zebra's lynch. I wasn't the only one, either. Even Pearl did that. I felt people needed reminding that a single vote placed relatively early on D1 is often a distancing vote when done by an elim. Sometimes, those votes gain traction with others, leading to an unintended lynch. The elim with the first vote may not be able to remove the distancing vote without a ton of suspicion, so they leave it, opting for a bus that will lose one member but may gain another trust.
  10. But how often did a teammate pipe up with the reasoning/suggestions to delay the elim's death? I'll be honest, the suspicion on Croc seems very much like my own suspicion of Iguana D2. While in some ways the actions could seem condemning, when you take a step back use Occam's Razor, it doesn't make sense. Why would an elim risk outing themself with such a bold suggestion that would obviously bring down questions? Especially when two elims are dead and another outed. It's possible that after Rhino, there's only one (though more likely at least two). That kind of move would have guaranteed an elim loss (or the loss of yet another teammate so early).
  11. Jesh snapped back to reality - he'd been daydreaming of one day being a Radiant like Kaladin Stormblessed - in time to see Sein dart away. Jesh cried out and chased him, but the spren was too quick. He lost sight after just a few moments. It wasn't long before he caught up, though. Sein was looking out if a window, strange spikes spinning and whirring. He seemed... sad, somehow. "Sein?" Jesh asked in a quiet voice. The one he used when his mom was mad or sad about his dad and Jesh wanted to help. "We can help you get home, if you want. You don't even have to keep helping me find Trisk. She'll probably find her own way, anyways." Despite what he said, Jesh couldn't help but feel sad at the thought of losing the spren. He was more interesting than anything he'd seen in his life. But he missed his old home. The tower was strange and creepy. Not like the cozy house they'd had at the edge of the warcamp, with space for Trisk to run an play. She and Jesh had enjoyed hours of fetch out there. Tears started to form in Jesh's eyes. He was losing everything he loved. @Magenta Albatross @Emerald Falcon
  12. Sorry for my relative absence from any substantial discussions. I feel like I'm just skimming by with a useless suggestion here or there. I'm feeling a bit better now, though, and will attempt some re-read (or really, first read in more than a semi-conscious state) of the thread. I realize most people have moved past this, but I'm still getting my head back into the game. I'm writing this more for my own good. Regarding my suggestion D2 that Iguana bussed Zebra, I'm leaning fairly heavily village on Iguana now because of this post of Rhino's: Rhino stated "we can afford to have a few mislynches" in a way that made it seem he was confident it would be a mislynch. This post makes me concerned there might actually be something in Dragonfly's posts: I wasn't able to get any substantial information in my own review though, other than the vague statement of possible elims hiding at the edges. I'm also leaning village on Octopus. Aligning so strongly with a lynch on Iguana along with Rhino D2 would have been dangerous as teammates. They've also made a lot of pretty good arguments and contributions overall. Regarding Lion, I don't think I quite understand the lynch on them. Most of the votes with reasoning behind them are about Lion's hedgy opinions on Iguana. I can understand the hedginess, since the lynch on Iguana came from a paranoid mindset. It would be easy to understand and be concerned it might be true, but a more logical part of the brain suggests its absurd. At least a few of the votes seem to have only been because the voters didn't want to lynch Iguana or Toucan, rather than real suspicion. I still lean village, though if there's a concerned Skybreaker, a scan may not be a bad idea. My brain has set sail again, so I'll have to continue this later.
  13. This post is why I'm pretty certain Opal is a villager. Rhino seemed to be going after them pretty hard, likely planned with the other elim(s) to set up another mislynch. This was also before they could have known about the scan. Distancing wouldn't make sense, and attempting this hard of a bus would be dangerous.
  14. The particular targets of the kills suggest both likely came from elims. If Opal is elim, they obviously wouldn't be a target. If Opal is not, then keeping them alive for further lynch diversion is better. I've not been feeling well the last few days. I'll try to contribute more, but I lost track of discussions about halfway through last day turn.
  15. Jesh stared at the shardblade in wonder. He may have been a lighteyes, but he was of low dahn. He didn't see a shardblade often, and especially not this close. "Wait!" He put his hands up, stepping between his spren and the newcomer. Both towered above him. "I think he's my spren. He's been talking about giving people power. His words are weird, but it sounds kinda like the Radiants everyone is talking about." @Emerald Falcon @Magenta Albatross
  16. I'm still not sure I'm following here. You're saying elim!Iguana (knowing about vote manipulation) would have either voted elim!Toucan or left it on Albatross/random villager, rather than bus elim!Zebra because lynching an elim D1 draws attention? I guess that makes sense. At the same time, though, how many people immediately cleared Iguana N1 because of the vote? That kind of decision can generate trust rather than suspicion. It's a gamble, as are a lot of elim plays. But if they're successful, they're worth it.
  17. My thoughts weren't stated well. Basically, regardless of Toucan's alignment, your vote seems vaguely like a bus to me. It would be more so in the case that Toucan is elim, but that doesn't have to be true for the vote to still be a bus. Why scan someone when they appear to be cleared by helping lynch an elim? Yes, there are potentially scans out there, which might make the elims more likely to do extreme things to avoid suspicion entirely. I'm not sure what you mean by your last statement, that it would have made more sense for Iguana to choose elim!Toucan over Zebra. Can you clarify?
  18. And skipping the Scorpion as well. It's alright, though. I probably fall in the latter category of not contributing much so far. This is my attempt to remedy that. Ivory's posts: Not much there. They didn't post and weren't mentioned in the night turn. The third post might be attempting to point the finger away from more active teammates. Or distancing from less active ones. Can't really be sure at this point. Zebra mentions: With the large player base and likely large elim team, I don't think a bus of a teammate who hadn't shown up yet is impossible. It would mean a ruthless team, or a team who didn't see many options yet. It's possible Toucan is also elim (the other main lynch on D1), and Zebra was bussed to save the active one. Iguana's actions at the end would make some sense in that case. Albatross later said bussing a worldhopper wouldn't be a smart move, but if everyone is a worldhopper, no one is a worldhopper then it doesn't matter if they lose one. Iguana --------- "What is this?" asked the strange spren. Jesh looked up to see the thing was inspecting dimming spheres. A cone of blue light burst from the eye of the strange spren, bathing the spheres in its glow. It looked so cool! A noise caught Jesh's attention before he could respond to the spren's question. A man appeared. "Who are you? Where did you come from?" Jesh jumped back, startled. Was he not supposed to be here? Was he going to be in trouble? "I- I'm just looking for my axehound. Have you seen one around?" Then he noticed the man looking at the spren. "You can see it, too?" @Magenta Albatross @Emerald Falcon
  19. "I'm Jesh. It's good to meet you!" He turned out of the dead end to continue on his search. At least Trisk should still be on this same floor, so that narrowed down the search some. "You're kind of funny, you know. I don't know half of what you're saying. But you're the first talking spren I've met. What kinda things can you do?"
  20. Sorry for my lack of real contribution so far. Mobile is terribly difficult when it comes to keeping up and especially contributing, and I'm not around my computer often. I agree with Falcon's assessment. Chameleon isn't necessarily cleared, as it could have been an accidental bussing situation. Removing the vote without much cause would have likely drawn more attention than necessary, in the case of elim!Chameleon. We could also look more at those in the opposing lynches. It's possibly some of those who tried swinging things away were trying to protect their worldhopper. Ah. Guess I should thoroughly read the rules, then. I'll try to take some time in the next few days to read through what happened. Until then, RP! ------------- "Traveler? Gardener? I mean, I know those words. Traveler, like someone who goes lots of places. Gardeners are like farmers, but little. Everyone says this place is Urithiru." Jesh shifted a little as the strange spren spun and whirred in front of him. "Someone bigger might know what you're talking about. Maybe we can go find my parents." Except, Trisk was still missing and his parents were busy. This move had them all sorts of distracted. They couldn't even help his search. "Well, maybe we can talk to my parents later. I need help finding my axehound first. Her name's Trisk. Problem is, I keep getting turned around in here. It's so confusing." Jesh got an idea, remembering that strange image the spren had shown. A map? "Hey! Can you make a map of here? Like, the halls and stuff?" @Emerald Falcon
  21. Jesh jumped back from the strange spren, but kept himself from running. "Voidbringer," he whispered, eyes fixed on the floating image. Then again, all the adults were whispering about old powers and spren. Maybe this was one of them. The things it described seemed like those powers. "I, uh, I don't know. What are those?" Jesh hesitantly reached up a hand to touch the picture, but his hand went right through it. "Am I going to be a Radiant now? Would that help me find my axehound?"
  22. Voidwalker? That's not the phrase Jesh was used to hearing. It made him stop in place. Could that be one of those radiant orders everyone was talking about? Jesh didn't pay enough attention to those conversations. It was a topic for grown-ups. Jesh just needed to find his axehound. He turned to look at the strange floating thing. Was it a spren? Oh, right. It had asked a question. "You're on Roshar, I think. Though I'm not sure really. Not like we travelled here normal like. What are you? What's a Voidwalker?"
  23. "Has anyone seen a loose axehound? Kinda purple, about this tall?" Jesh held his hand a few inches below his head. "She's real friendly. And playful." People around Jesh barely spared him a glance, business apparently too important to help a poor kid find his lost pet, regardless of eye color. Most of the lighteyes around outranked him, and his age made him less important to any darkeyes. Jesh normally didn't mind, but this new place was scary and Trisk was missing. She'd be just as scared without him as he was without her. "Please, anyone? My axehound is missing. She won't know where to find me here. Please?" Jesh kept walking through the strange halls of Urithiru, calling out for Trist and asking for help. Still not getting anything. He turned a corner to find a dead end, no Trist. A strange light appeared at the end of the hall. A small... thing exploded out of the center of the light, which quickly disappeared. That left a floating, glowing object in middle of the dead end hall. "Excuse me, could you tell me what planet or moon this is? And the date?" "Voidbringer!" Jesh started to run. @Emerald Falcon (couldn't pass up RPing with a Destiny crossover!) -------------- I agree with Meerkat about not having a dustbringer around at the beginning. I'd normally say only one skybreaker, but there are quite a few players, so it's possible there are two. Most other roles will have two, I think, though I haven't read up on the rules much.
  24. I wouldn't think that a soulstamp would allow you to steal roles... It does seem likely that it would allow a change in role of some sort, however.
