  1. Ties kill, but they also let vote manipulators decide who lives and dies, which is unhelpful since there's no accountability and being saved doesn't conclude anything about your alignment. Do you not think there was pushback against Pearl and Coral, or Hyena for that matter? Perhaps it's less pushback than the push to kill them fizzled and the initial voters gave up and looked for other targets. Sometimes that's elims distancing from each other before turning to vote for a villager. Sometimes it's a sign that the elims are pushing trains elsewhere. Sometimes it's all village led, and the high village/elim ratio weights it towards this option for any particular player. Did you figure out why you thought you were PMing Mauve and Coral? Elims don't typically get too much vote manipulation since each one counts for almost double towards exlo. I'd only see this double elim vote manipulation happening with an extra small team or a Mistborn who rolled brass/zinc. "I won't be able to kill Ferac tonight. The messy execution today has put him on high alert. He'll be ready to run at the slightest hint of danger, and I can't fight my way through all his other Hazekillers before he has a chance to escape. I have to convince him that I'm the only one he can trust, that the other Hazekillers will betray him out of fear, out of greed, out of ambition. He won't fall for any attempts to frame the other Hazekillers, so I'll have to make sure their betrayals are real. Surely I can use the rampant paranoia sweeping through this town to my advantage."
  2. The thread summary is the reasoning, so I might as well include it. Evil players do indeed include summaries for late votes, but so do villagers. Ivory and Amber did similar things as Mint that turn and were both villagers. Do you think that Mauve, you, and Turquoise were all villagers, in which case the Spiked wouldn't need to care; or that I was an elim was trying to bus a teammate (Turquoise) for village points if they died?
  3. I'm not Mint Heron who was one of the people who broke a tie D4 of LG 79, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I didn't think Mauve should die and moved my vote to one of the two places it could have made a difference. I chose Turquoise over you because I was wary of Magenta and then Turquoise showing up last minute, but I was also there at the end and Turquoise wouldn't have voted for Mauve after supporting them earlier so I can't expect much else. How about everyone else who was around for rollover and didn't have their vote on one of the three main trains? Especially @Melon Dingo who was demonstrably there but didn't vote at all?
  4. So the Pearl votes have completely dissolved and now it's Turquoise and Mauve tied at three. Now, Saffron is also up there. The Mauve votes feel like they happened suddenly even though the first vote was a while ago. Fuchsia had a bad gut read of Mauve, Onyx thought they were being defensive, Emerald has detailed and more aggressive than I'd expect an elim to be willing to be reasoning to vote Mauve. The wanting to go for Quartz instead of Saffron or Pearl, or Gorilla, or any other less active, is the more pertinent detail. Turquoise is fun because they were reading Pearl and Mauve as village back when those were viable alternatives, and also didn't think much of voting for Charcoal, all of which limit their options. Nothing stops multiple of those from being evil. Saffron pushes a revenge vote on someone with none despite being tied for the lead, which strikes me as wrong. Gorilla has now voted. I don't like getting ties on purpose. I don't feel great about Saffron. I really don't like this late minute push on them so I'll vote Pearl Chameleon, Turquoise Gorilla and see what hapens.
  5. I raised it as a possibility, but the possibility alone doesn't guarantee either of you are an elim. I suppose my reads list would have made a lot more sense if I had explained my zones in a legend, rather than clarifying in this post xD Mauve brings up the fact that you said Mauve retracted from Pearl when this was not true. If you and Pearl were both elims the number of votes on Pearl would be more pressing, so this is not an E/E pairing. You have however assigned Pearl pronouns that haven't been specified publicly, which would be suspicious if not for the previous sentence. Some elim teams defend teammates stronger and earlier than others. A two vote lead 12 hours before the turn ends with numerous available alternatives is not an overwhelming threat to an elim Pearl, especially as they hadn't even voted. Until people start consolidating votes a lack of a strong defense isn't clearing. With so many more villagers than elims in this stage of the game, attempts by the elims to save a teammate Pearl would blend into the background. Violet encouraging Coral to vote for an alternative target (Turquoise), Chartreuse not liking the Pearl train, even Coral being suspicious of Pearl but not wanting to vote for any of their D1 reads could be a defense and we wouldn't know for sure until they're all dead. If Cham is village, the elims could have been anywhere at this point. I do agree that elims will hide early on since being noisy isn't safe until you can get sufficiently cleared by a Seeker that they wouldn't bother to check, which is hard to do D1 unless you bus a teammate. You brought up a previous game in one of your post and I referenced it in my PM to you, but I evidently wasn't clear enough or misinterpreted your post. With only two votes on you and almost ten hours left in the cycle, there wasn't much difference in viability between someone with 0 votes and someone with one vote. I have an instinctive dislike of self-preservation votes cast long before survival becomes necessary, but that isn't quite what you're doing here. Do you suspect Coral more than Saffron? Having suspects and then not voting for them is a great way for an elim to distance themselves from teammates without putting them at risk, kill villagers without it looking like their fault, and deflect Seeker(s)'s attention elsewhere. Making yourself higher profile by opposing popular opinion is a more villagery move in a game with alignment scanners. More things have happened since this point and now Pearl, Coral, and Turquoise are in the mix. Pearl and Coral could be E/E, Turquoise and Pearl could be E/E in which case the swing from one to the other was village driven, Coral and Turquoise aren't E/E. I'll vote for Pearl Chameleon.
  6. Neither the quote button nor the multiquote function is working Coral is a helpful players with lovely opinions. They're keeping their options open alignment-wise. Saffron has interesting but justified opinions on Seekers and Lurchers. Elim Lurchers are only helpful for WGGs or if a village Coinshot guesses right New players have as much chance of being elims as anyone. I'd like for Salmon to be village. I'm not seeing the chaos in their posts. So Saffron's second post didn't push you into village reading them, which means it wasn't until after Saffron-Pearl interactions. You can add qualifiers to all my posts if you want. There are some in this post for reference.
  7. "I love watching High Prelan Ferac's pretty little plans fall to pieces," I think as he realizes his network of spies and informants has gaping holes in it. "Always so clever and calculating, convinced he could whisper just the right words into the correct ears, and with just a hint of brass make sure the Final Empire ran according to his designs." [Now he begs food off villagers who wouldn't even recognize his name.] "All as The Lord Ruler's perfect servant of course, no mere mortal could dream of crossing the Sliver of Infinity, but as head of the Canton of Resource his reach and influence were nearly unrivaled." [I'd like to see him try to influence an army of murderous Koloss.] "For any threat he couldn't talk his way out of, he had his personal squad of Hazekillers, including me, his favorite, who he raised as a child and as a successor." [Not that I'd ever be allowed to be an Obligator, much less a High Prelan.] "His contingencies upon contingencies let him weather the turmoil of the House War and the financial devastation caused by the destruction of the Pits of Hathsin, but he wasn't prepared for The Lord Ruler's abrupt demise." [May there never be another.] "He fled to Tyrian Falls to reevaluate, with only me and three other Hazekillers to guard him. Even now he plots a way to implement his vision across a reunited Empire, but I'll kill him before I let that happen. He thinks I need him to enact my own ideas for how the Final Empire should be run, but the Empire is dead and I'll make sure Ferac burns on it's funeral pyre." [I can find assistance elsewhere now that the nobility's stranglehold on power has loosened.] Elim coinshots are too powerful. Any other role is fair game for them. The village has lost every Tyrian Falls game, so the elim team will be weaker than expected to compensate. 5-6 elims, weaker or fewer roles.
  8. Flamingo. They’re basically confirmed, while Weasel is not, and it makes sense to go for them first. Also, when did I “cover” for Weasel? We are Mateform lovers, though neither of us is in Mateform anymore, but that says nothing about us both being evil. Edit: I’m good with a 24 hour cycle.
  9. Done. Edit: @Azure Mouse, a lot of this rides on you not converting if you still can, too. Don’t cost us a village win that way. That’d be lame.
  10. Umm, we have to all vote together. If you can convince enough people to switch, I’m not opposed to voting Flamingo necessarily, but I think Tuatara is the better confirmed Elim right now. I’d hope you’ll consider joining us in voting them out first, then going after Flamingo next time if you’re sure.
  11. I suspect Tuatara may also be Elim and Heron is just getting desperate, but my vote is of course going on Heron this cycle. We need to stay united. Hopefully I can prove to everyone that I am indeed village. There will be no voting shenanigans from me, nothing suspicious if I can manage to not accidentally incriminate myself.
  12. For the record, I am not the Mediationform. I know that was asked/discussed, so I want to clear that. Them voting against Mavset-im doesn’t guarantee that they’re village, sadly, though, since any Elims wanted to remain hidden last cycle still. I expect this cycle to have to deal with a potential hammer by the Elims, though. Hopefully we still have the ability to fight it.
  13. @Opal Lion, I don’t have strong reads of my own. I’m mostly going with what others have worked out. Heron seems fairly confirmed. Weasel is unfortunately likely, given my defense of them early, but that was basically as I implied: we were Mateform lovers and I just figured an Elim wasn’t likely going for Mateform early. I was probably wrong. Beyond that, I dunno. Tuatara, who I defended for their D1 post (but only for that specific instance) is a possibility as you said, but I’m not sure.
  14. I guess it must be a four person Elim team since the analytics are so strong. I swear on my spren I’m not Elim. Target me last if nothing else. That can’t hurt.
  15. Meh, I did forget that. So you’re probably village, but you’re still wrong about me at least. That means you could easily be wrong about others too. Edit: right now I’m trusting Opal’s reads more than yours.
  16. Unfortunately you’re wrong. About me, and about probably several others (I don’t suspect Tuatara or Weasel, though I do suspect Heron). That makes me suspect you now.
  17. @Azure Mouse, did you really just claim a Form of Power (i.e. being an Elim) via RP? Or is that just flavor?
  18. @Plum Rhinoceros, sure I’ll make a PM. Should it’s participants be publicly known or should I keep them secret? I’ll max out the capacity.
  19. I edited it in, but you were too fast: Falcon and Moose, both of whom have responded. However, I think this was pointed out a time or two but has been largely overlooked (even by me), but if Mavset-im hasn’t body-hopped yet, they can still talk in PMs. Making all of this useless. Whose idea was it to track down Malibu this way?
  20. Ugh. I don’t like Flamingo’s tone. Because it’s throwing off my confidence. I still think they’re likely Elim, but Mavset-im has to be our priority because of their unblockable kill. Flamingo Is Heron really the most likely other choice? I’m switching for now, but planning to get back on and read more arguments tomorrow. @Plum Rhinoceros, I got a PM from Cream. Edit: also contained Mouse and Falcon.
  21. Another green on the list, but not what I expected. I really expected Flamingo to hop, or whoever the real Mavset-im was to hop if we got it wrong. Maybe they did? Either way, I think we’re okay voting on Flamingo for now. I’m okay with being convinced if we get evidence of another being Mavset or if we get enough to go after someone else as Eim, but for now I’m relatively convinced Flamingo is Mavset and just couldn’t hop last night, or is covering for them.
