Anniversary Game 8 / AN11: Back to Beginnings

I misread you saying you'd appreciate the Coinshot telling you they were killing you as that actually happening. -

If you didn't know who the Coinshot was, you're also lying about the Coinshot telling you about an impending attack because they certainly wouldn't claim now. -

Like I've said, there's a pretty good chance of Falcon being evil. The best point in their favor is that the Coinshot is still alive, but I think someone other than Falcon knew by N2? I'm not actually sure. -

The rest of your post assumes I knew Falcon was an elim and works backwards from there, but doesn't support an initial assumption of me being elim. -

What do you think the elim vote manipulation was? The vote tally was Mauve Crocodile (4): Emerald Falcon, Fuchsia Ostrich, Onyx Flamingo, Saffron Iguana Saffron Iguana (3): Magenta Albatross, Mauve Crocodile, Pearl Chameleon, Turquoise Gorilla Turquoise Gorilla (3): Amethyst Scorpion, Coral Swan, Scarlet Octopus, Violet Axolotl with Saffron claiming to have Soothed Pearl's vote and Violet claiming to have Rioted Pearl's vote to Gorilla. There's no other visible vote manipulation here and I don't believe Violet was around for rollover, last posting ~1 3/4 hours before rollover. Even if I knew, for example, that Violet was cancelling their own vote by purposefully Rioting a Smoked player, I did not see Saffron's vote and Turquoise would have died had Saffron voted there instead of Crocodile. -

I asked you why you were looking for Seeker claims and if anything productive had come of you asking. -

I asked you if you would kill a Tineye who went public about you being an elim instead of sending an anonymous message, and later wished you luck getting in contact with the Tineye who sent that message. I had no reason to think you knew the Tineye at that point. I would think it more likely that I'm evil if Falcon is? The exe D3 was close enough that Falcon was a plausible target by the time I voted for Gorilla. And I think the only way for Falcon to be village is if there's another Tineye/Mistborn out there who sent in a message N1 and hasn't bothered to claim or do so since. Possible, but would suggest that Tineye/Mistborn to be evil. -

The goal is to learn things, like what parts of your original reads post you made before learning you were evil. -

Saffron said they soothed Pearl, which would have ended up cancelling both your and Pearl's votes and meaning there was no other visible vote manipulation that turn. -

Only one action surely since there was nothing D2 but Iguana's soothe unless you think they were responsible for a D1 riot instead of Gorilla's teammates. That was definitely not specified in Vulture's post. I could have put scan in quotation marks to emphasize doubt, sure. The point is that if there was no scan, Falcon and Hyena are evil. If elim!Hyena scans v!Falcon and then claims to have done so to you, Vulture, and Falcon, Falcon doesn't have a role worth killing or was deemed as being worth keeping alive long enough to 'verify' Hyena before being killed. If v!Hyena scans v!Falcon and tells you, Vulture, and Falcon about it, there's no reason for an elim Rioter to know about it unless Vulture (or you technically) is evil. I do see Iguana or Gorilla as having been more efficient scan targets for resolving D1 than someone who was vocal about killing the one known villager since a village result still narrows things down for the former two but doesn't for the latter. The strongest argument for a false scan is still prior suspicions of Falcon and Hyena, e.g. for pushing Crocodile D1 and Iguana D2 respectively. Hyena being a Mistborn is still probable in any case since it would have to be proved every cycle. -

How would you know that someone voting for Turquoise rioted Plum's vote to Turquoise since it couldn't have been you? Dingo is the most likely of these since they were around to see the votes at the end of D1. It was 4-3-3 Iguana-Crocodile-Gorilla then, making only a 'soothe' risky. D3 though Dingo last posted at Salmon Meerkat (3): Fuchsia Ostrich, Melon Dingo, Ivory Dragonfly, Emerald Falcon (3): Salmon Meerkat, Amethyst Scorpion, Pearl Chameleon Turquoise Gorilla (2): Coral Swan, Onyx Flamingo, Oxblood Beagle (2): Chartreuse Penguin, Emerald Falcon, before anyone who ended up on Falcon had voted except Chameleon. Why would the elims have known Falcon had been scanned as villager? The votes + vote manipulation already look like a bus. Unless you're saying Hyena is the Rioter and hence the elim Rioter? -

We never found out who removed a vote from Gorilla D1 but it doesn't look like they tried to save Gorilla this time. If that D1 manipulation was an elim teammate, the lack of a repeat means they were around at the end to see it was futile, wanted to bus Gorilla, or hit a Smoked player. A limited effort to save Gorilla makes Axolotl, Chameleon, and Falcon's late attempts to disrupt the votes interesting. Chameleon wanted people to pile on Gorilla or Falcon, preferably the latter, while Axolotl wants to divert votes to Chameleon. Unlikely to be on the same elim team perhaps. Falcon knows Gorilla is going to die when questioning my vote, which would be a bold move if they were evil together. -

If Gorilla is spiked, you'd be trying to convince people to save them at a time when a single soothe isn't enough. And then plus Gorilla putting you as a strongish village read D1. If Gorilla is village you wouldn't be elim for that post, especially if Falcon is spiked. -

I wanted to see what would happen if I started with the vote on you. I don't know why I do this because I'm not good at interpreting the response, nobody jumped on you but that just means Gorilla and Falcon are less likely to both be evil. I'll put my vote back to Onyx Flamingo, Turquoise Gorilla. I'm also going back to initial Chameleon suspicion with that last post if Gorilla is an elim. -

Emerald Falcon. An elim is more likely to have given more reasoning but Falcon doesn't apparently care what other's think of them Seeker wise. I would like to resolve Turquoise at some point, even if them being village would make the first three days too much of a dead end. Let's try Onyx Flamingo. If Mauve/Saffron/Turquoise is v/v/v, this is a good place to start. -

Salmon Meerkat, Emerald Falcon. Why did you feel the need to fish for a Seeker? -

Do you think the Seeker is bussing Meerkat or that village Meerkat would claim elim or what would motivate you to get the Seeker's identity revealed? -

Salmon Meerkat defended Chameleon obviously, but also put them in a shortlist of people to be Coinshot; risky if they're teammates and don't have a Lurcher. Meerkat hard passed on killing Dingo, tried to kill Hyena. Went from more likely E!Cham N1 to viewing them light village D2. Voted Iguana over Albatross or Flamingo. Doesn't like pushback against Iguana. -

You're right about this. Super late counterpushes are more likely to be elim than ones closer to midcycle, and are also less likely to work unless there's a convenient alternative already prepared. The main point of that post was that Turquoise and Saffron were under roughly equivalent suspicion D1 and then that was not true D2, and then I started muddling things up. With Saffron being village, I would expect the elims to have seen that train taking off again as convenient. -

There is resistance to Iguana, but none of it came in the form of going after Gorilla who would have been a relatively easy target. I personally see a lot of difference between 10 hours before rollover and 1 hour before rollover because I don't place final votes until late in the cycle, but you may feel differently. -

It means little if you and Iguana are both village, but if one of you is evil I would not bet on it being the one who got a whole bunch of new voters today while votes on the other never got off the ground. -

Amethyst Scorpion replied to Elbereth's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Where did your suspicion of Iguana come from? I've heard from other people why, but you voted for Gorilla D1 and don't sound confident about one of Gorilla and Iguana having to be evil. When there's a tie between two people one day and then the next day one of those people gets five votes and the other has none, the elims are more likely on the former. If Turquoise Gorilla was village the elims could have tried to get them exed again, but the main trains today have been Iguana, Flamingo, and Albatross. -

Amethyst Scorpion replied to Elbereth's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Gorilla did mention trusting Crocodile and Chameleon on page 7 as a PM read which would have made voting for Crocodile risky. Crocodile and Gorilla both had three people voting for them at the time, so there wasn't any survival reason for Iguana to vote for Crocodile instead of Gorilla, except that Gorilla might have tried to ensure their survival by voting Crocodile but Crocodile was not around to switch their vote. If Gorilla and Iguana were teammates, they would either need multiple vote manipulators, a single rioter [likely Gorilla who could remove a vote from themself while cancelling their own vote on Iguana], or be very bold/bloodthirsty. Claiming to villagers is useful, but there's not enough to conclude Falcon as village even if many elims would hesitate to go after a villager for their playstyle and get them killed. Falcon lying about having heard from a Coinshot is helpful. Telling the truth about it less so. -

The only way it's just one Rioter is if they were voting for one of Turquoise or Saffron, and then rioted a vote from the other into a no vote, cancelling a vote from both overall. Only an elim Rioter who wanted to hide the fact that there were Rioters would do this since a villager wouldn't cancel their own vote like that when it would affect who died.
