Arghh. Looks like someone soothed a vote off me, which I’m grateful for, but we need to hit an Elim soon. @Violet Axolotl, why are you so emphatic about having someone protect Ivory? I haven’t seen anything that would convince me they’re a more valuable villager than anyone else, and asking for that type of thing just makes it more likely the Elims will pick a different target anyways. That reads very suspiciously to me.

@Amber Vulture, after that post, I feel much more confident leaving my vote on you. The way you presented it and the way you said you were a villager was...heavy-handed, and sounds like someone trying to make a case for something they know isn’t true.

I'll say that I'm still worried about Ivory Dragonfly, but it sounds like I'm unlikely to get much backing there, so for the moment, I'll put a vote on Amber Vulture, mostly because @Onyx Flamingo thinks we aren't both Elims, so maybe this will help convince them. Or who knows, maybe not. @Amber Vulture, nothing personal, and I'm not 100% committed to that vote either.

Aww. Also, I might know who you really are now. Only a couple possibilities that come to mind.

Eh, disappointing but not surprising. @Onyx Flamingo, there was that game not long ago where there was only one Elim, but I think they had three lives essentially, plus a ton of powers.

It’s not how I always act, but it’s definitely more of the indifferent villager. Not to the game itself, but to the suspicions I inevitably garner. It’s rare I make it through a game without being lynched, assuming the Elims don’t kill me first, but I have fun.

So no one really missed out if we lynch Weasel? Then let’s do this and move on.

Weasel should have gotten a pinch hitter by my understanding. That doesn’t guarantee anything, since people can go inactive for a number of reasons that have nothing to do with the game itself. Who is Narg? Not on the player list as a character.

Phew, I wasn’t around for rollover and I’m glad to be alive, though I do wish we’d found an Elim finally. I don’t know what to think about Weasel, but I agree with a Dustbringer taking him out, just to let us move on. To follow up on my point during the day, though, I am curious. Can someone explain exactly why Ivory Dragonfly is considered village and trusted by so many? Without participating or leading the lynch of an Elim?

Wow, that’s...not what I said. I have been active in the discussion, if you haven’t noticed, just not with the same approach as you. I don’t really want to be told I’m being unhelpful for playing the way I’ve found is more fun and works out better.

This seems familiar to me. Happens all the time, I gain suspicion for not posting enough detail. Oh well, I don’t want to die, but at least maybe ya’ll will learn something from my death. Not much, but something.

See, there was never really anything for me to respond to. And yes, I know my suspicions have been somewhat vague. They’re going to be, since I don’t have any strong reads, nor do I feel like taking the time or effort to do big in-depth analysis, when it’s failed to produce anything useful for me in the past (and doesn’t seem to be doing any good here so far either). And now conveniently there’s a bandwagon on me. Yay. Yeah, I think what I just said should cover the points against me. I’d sit back and just say lynch me, but that doesn’t help the village any, so instead why don’t ya’ll think about why you’re trusting Ivory so much when they’ve done nothing to back up your trust in them? Edit: Oh, and @Ivory Dragonfly? I didn’t withdraw. It’s a been a whopping 8 hours since the post I just responded to. Oh no, I’m totally avoiding the thread. Or, you know...asleep.

@Emerald Falcon, can you at least explain why you voted for me? A poke vote doesn’t make sense considering I had already posted this cycle.

Hmm, odd, two votes out of the gate on Weasel? Doesn't mean I feel good or bad about Weasel directly, but that's exceptionally odd. That said, if Axolotl and Dragonfly were both Elims, they'd probably have avoided that mistake (though I've certainly missed things in an Elim doc before and gone ahead with something, or even intentionally posted without reading what my teammates were saying to make sure I didn't appear to be working with them). Dragonfly, I've been worried by your voting habits, the way you've presented suspicions, and yes, your activity level somewhat, though I would never lynch someone for being too active. I do think it's highly likely that at least one Elim is among our more active players, though, possibly as many as 3 or 4, and right now I'm thinking you may be 1.

That bandwagon got crazy. I am actually going to look over it soon and try to spot anything out of place. The people with no reason given beyond the bandwagon are actually slightly less suspicious to me than anyone with very simple reasoning, just based on my habits when I’m an Elim.

That's fair, but it's actually not the awkwardness that stood out to me (I mean, I'm pretty awkward). It felt like the type of thing that had been planned in a committee. It's hard to define precisely, but it feels like a couple ideas put together from suggestions of what would make you sound like a villager, suggested by possible Elim teammates. It's the best I've got so far, so I'll keep my vote on you for now. Sorry if I'm wrong!

@Pearl Chameleon‘s post reminded me of the post by @Mauve Crocodile, which I agree, felt contrived and planned when I saw it. I just wasn’t in a place where I could write a post at the time, and then forgot. I’ll throw my vote on Crocodile this round, again, not because I have any certainty, but that post sticks out to me more than anything else I’ve seen this cycle.

@Ivory Dragonfly, I did note that I was simply placing my vote on what I thought was the best current reasoning I could agree with, not that I thought it was super solid or guaranteed. I don’t see how that should be suspicious, but I’d rather vote with less than perfect reasons than abstain until I think I know for sure. We’ll simply never know for sure in almost any game. @Azure Mouse, that’s a fair assessment. I’m glad to not be suspected (at least no more than others), but I do want to note that I’m not committing to posting a lot of thoughts about other players. I’ll do it as thoughts come to me if they do, but I’m not trying to analyze and track everything. Doesn’t really work out for me anyways.

Better sleep on the decision of who to lynch next. No pun intended. It was totally intended. I wasn’t 100% confident in my reasoning, as was probably obvious, but still, I’m at least disappointed to hit another villager. It’s certainly not unusual, but we do need better luck soon. Hopefully the Dustbringer has more sense than the rest of us. Assuming they’re village.

Oh, I agree, @Magenta Albatross, and I don’t feel obligated to provide the detailed analysis. I did feel a need to say that I wouldn’t, however, since I had said I would and genuinely intended to at the time. Since I was planning to change what I’d publicly stated I would do, I figured it’d go over better if I just said it outright. I don’t know how much I’ll even pull off with these shorter posts and limited analysis, since I’m still having a hard time keeping track of player names and who said what. I’ll try, but I honestly am having enough trouble just not saying the wrong name. Some of you might be able to use that to guess my identity, in fact.

I don’t like just jumping on bandwagons, but at the moment I agree with some of the arguments in favor of a Tuatara lynch. Also, while Beagle and I discussed very little, I got a village feel since he made no attempts to push me into revealing anything. Not at all a confirmation, but a good sign to me.

Shoot, missed that at the bottom of the writeup. I wasn’t expecting more Edgedancers exactly, but I must have scrolled past the notice that PMs weren’t open. My only PM was with Beagle, and not much was discussed.

So I said I wanted to do some deeper analysis. I should have known that wasn’t going to happen. I’m going to take a more easygoing approach instead and of course keep participating, but not try to be exceptionally analytical. I would welcome PMs, though. I’ve found those useful, but I haven’t been good about starting them. I may start some too.

I want to look over that bandwagon, and I’m also curious, did anyone participate in the PMs discussing it, but then not join? I’d wonder about that if so, and it’ll be somewhat dependent on who tells us that information too.
