Mid-Range Game 30/Anonymous Game 2: - Scadrian Black Ops

Oh crap. That means the elims *are* hunting them down. And they also have the list of possible suspects greatly narrowed down now that you've claimed. Edit: y'all weren't behind the vote manips, were you? -

Pff why pick me out of the three people Ivory suspected? Are you disregarding the fact that they removed their vote from me? -

Ha! It's amusing that you bring that up. I was just going over the possibility of Azure being Mr Doctor Alright, Melon Dingo. I'm starting to have this bad feeling that the elims already have everything figured out. Is this the last cycle? @Azure Mouse @Amber Vulture @Mauve Crocodile It's awfully quiet today. Azure, you were online not two hours ago. What's with the vote on yourself? Are you trolling or smt? -

Well, there's no one big reason, I'll admit. Just small bits added together. You've been kinda tunneling on Vulture since C1 (also vice versa). And then there's your vote patterns. And uh that green colour indicating village thing. Sigh okay that last one's a dumb reason. I might I think I sorta explained why: That edit didn't appear on my screen until I reloaded the page after I submited my post. I'm curious to know what it is you're willing to reveal. -

Okay, having reread the entire game I think I've come to the conclusion that these fleeing informants were indeed fleeing from something that wanted them dead. This something has probably already reached its wincon or is very close to. The fleeing informants probably got told in their gm pms that they're being hunted by a specific group/person. This would explain Falcon's posts. Also, I think this was why Fuchsia Ostrich was killed C2. They had clearly stated in-thread that the role fleeing informants might mean that they're on the run from something other than the rest of us, and then Ostrich got killed. The killer(s) was obviously hoping Ostrich had the informant role...they got Falcon lynched for them tho the same cycle so I imagine they didn't count C2 as a complete failure. I'm thinking this mysterious faction is the "elim team", considering that we've only been seeing one kill per cycle apart form the lynch. There's likely one or two more informants left. bla. Their speculation of this might have been why Ivory was killed, eh elims? *wink wink? I will point out that there was no vote manip C1. Even though that was the cycle where it would have been most helpful for the elims, I should think, seeing as how close the vote was. Unless both the candidates were village. Cream Tuatara. Yeah. Okay. Now. A new lynch target. hmmm The player list Amber Vulture - iffy Amethyst Scorpion - obviously vill Azure Mouse - idek Coral Swan - willing to bet he's village Cream Tuatara - I'll let you off the hook for now Indigo Weasel - tone is village. also I'm pretty sure I know who it is behind your account Mauve Crocodile - the stunt you pulled last cycle certainly isn't something an elim would imo Melon Dingo - I'm okay with lynching you -

@Azure Mouse we can't really afford mislynches now and that means we have to stay ahead of the vote manip. It would be nice if you put your vote on somebody you suspect. Though if this is elim!Azure trying to display pathos, I'll smack you.:P -

Another vote manip. Considering that and Mauve's last minute vote on Penguin, one could say it's unlikely that Mauve is an elim. At the time, with their vote manip, the elims already had it in the bag. It was 4-3. So why would elim!Mauve place their vote on Penguin right before rollover? It's too much of a risk for an elim to take. But then again, IKYK. Dingo, Mauve, Tuatara, Mouse. (And maybe Vulture?) <-- the elims are somewhere in there Tuatara, Dingo, Mauve, and Mouse. That's the people I'm suspicious of, in that order. Tuatara please stop surviving lynches. I remember somembody saying early on that they think this game might be role-madness. Does anybody recall who that was? Also, the lack of evidence for any kinda account swaps at this stage is worrying. -

Cream Tuatara. A grand total of six posts. First one says I'm here Second one agrees with Azure and conveniently hops on the Albatross bandwagon Third one talks about Falcon lynch, but takes no stand. Also self contradiction. Fourth one indicates they believe elims had part in Falcon lynch Fifth votes on Penguin because Ivory and I suspect them Sixth points out that no one from Ivory's suspected elim team voted to save them Of all the posts above, the only opinion Tautara actually gives is the elims partaking in the Falcon lynch. Which is quite a safe thing to say, considering there were eight votes on Falcon, one of them being due to a vote manip. Despite my vote on Tuatara, I will say that they seem TWTBAW. But that can't always be ignored, I guess. -

That's a nice speculation, Ivory. But do you really believe I would publicly cast suspcion on both my teammates were I an elim? Also, I would never give out as much as a hint relating to my wincon if I were an elim. And as for what happened towards the end of C1, I think I've already explained why I was willing to vote for Tuatara even though I wasn't all that convinced of their suspicious-ness at the time: it was to prevent the Albatross lynch. Though I can see why many people won't buy this. Your cases on Mouse and Tuatara are something to consider, however. I'll look more into it in some time. My vote should come in soon. Edit: whoops sorry I mixed up mouse with vulture somehow. I haven't cast suspcion on Mouse yet -

Below are the remaining of us: Amber Vulture, Azure Mouse, Chartreuse Penguin, Coral Swan, Cream Tuatara, Indigo Weasel, Ivory Dragonfly, Mauve Crocodile, Melon Dingo, and myself. That's 10. If Indigo Weasel is correct about there being two elims only, we have about 3 more cycles till LyLo. But let's assume that's 2. A three-member elim team is plausible too. Out of the remaining, my village reads include Ivory and Swan, and maybe I'll throw in Azure and Weasel in there too. That leaves: Vulture, Penguin, Tuatara, Mauve, and Dingo. These are my current suspects, I guess, following the PoE. Anyway, is it worth entertaining the possibility that Falcon may have been 'not Falcon' last cycle? Perhaps they were kandra'd? As so many of you have repeatedly pointed out, that lynch was too easy. And Falcon wasn't even trying to defend themsef. Not quite. Falcon had Hyena's role, as the flip shows. Could account-swapping be involved? I actually just deleted two whole paragraphs of me rambling about the possibility, but it didn't make much sense. Too far-fetched, and kinda nonsense. I'll try to articulate once again when it isn't 1 AM and rewrite it. Gonna keep this bit here tho: all Hyena said C1 was that maintaining reads isn't going to be as simple because there's account swapping involved. And that's it. Sus? Not sus? Strange? Maybe they were targeted only because they posted the least and the elims felt like keeping the actives alive. And that vote manip. It isn't our usual rioting or soothing, because the names of the voters shown are 7, and vote count adds up to 8. Uhh. Hm. @Seonid can we get a list of players still participating in the game? -

What the storms If PMs were open, I'd suspect that there's some faction out there with the wincon to eliminate these fleeing informants, considering what the last kill's (hyena's) role was. But as it is, it could've only been a coincidence, or a lucky guess. -

What do I have to say for myself? Nothing, really. I don't quite get the accusation you're putting up against me. But thank you for the vote, I was getting rather bored with all the Falcon discussion. Regardless, I'll try to clear your suspicions as much as I can. I wouldn't say I stayed quiet. 13 posts is good enough, no? Most of the discussion took place while I was asleep. It ain't my fault I'm in a cremmy time-zone. Depends on what you call a bandwagon? There were only two votes on Falcon before mine. And you can't really blame me for jumping at the opportunity. The section of Flacon's post that I quoted in the post I voted for them literally screamed I'm not a villager. I guess I'll talk more about this issue later in this post. Um...hm...I don't know how to respond to this. Sorry XD Game mechanic discussion is never NAI when it's blackout games. *wink wink I was kind of hoping someone would comment on the irony of that vote of mine I agree, though. Fair. Well, no. I didn't remove it "just because". I wasn't in favour of the Albatross lynch and would have rather seen Tuatara lynched (sorry tuatara), because I was pretty sure Albatross would flip village, solely due to this tone in his posts. I don't know how you missed this while reading my posts, but I was seriosuly considering tying the vote between Albatross and Tuatara, because at that moment it was 4-3. I was hesitant as we don't know for certain whether ties result in both candidates getting killed or not. So I asked for opinions, and decided on tying the vote. That clearly didn't happen because cycle ended. Sad. Dude how would you have worded it? I tried to shorten it down and simplify it as much as I could. I guess I can't really lessen your suspicon of me at this particular matter Won't be possible in most games i.e non-anon games? Hm. *stares at wincon -ten minutes later- I didn't get an eureka moment or anything, but are you suggest there might be ways more than one to defeat the elims? Now to give my two cents on the Falcon issue, like I promised I would. I would definitely think thrice before lynching a neutral. Thing is, Falcon has clearly stated that they're not neutral, which only really leaves them to belong to two other factions - elim or village. I do think that Azure brings up a interesting possibility of the kandra-hunters, I would think that that faction would qualify as neutrals, no? It was said that Falcon may be part of the village but perhaps doesn't know what faction their target role belongs to - it could be either village or elim. But then, if they do indeed belong to the village and their target role also happens to be of a villager's, wouldn't that make Falcon a threat to the village? And therefore not really part of the village? I recall the Skybreakers from Len's recent blackout game. Their wincon was to kill surgebinders. Now a couple of these surgebinders belonged to the village, and some to the OTHER elim team. Yeah, there were two elim teams. The Skybreakers were one of them. Even though the village's wincon was to "kill all evils opposing the village", the villagers failed to recongise the Skybreakers as an evil faction, and assumed they were neutral. That wasn't the case, though. I hope what I'm saying makes at least *some* amount of sense (?). Anyway, my vote's gonna stay where it is. Falcon, I'm terribly sorry if you're village. -

Oooh. Very fascinating, this is. I agree with dragonfly that refugee is just a vanilla village, and the informant is a villager role, @Emerald Falcon what lead you to believe that these are two different factions? Emerald Falcon Edit: the refugee (village) win con is, if it wasn't obvious already, to kill the elim faction(s) -

On the other hand, as a villager you'd likely know what colour the village faction is, and would feel no need to show hesitiation on this regard. -

Two new pages for me to wake up to. Noice. I like the activity this game :] Glancing at the vote count, the two main candidates for the lynch look to be Tuatara and Albatross. Coral Swan. No use having my vote lie there. I think the Tuatara votes are slightly ridiculous, given the reasoning. But then again, I don't quite agree with the Albatross lynch as I've repeated a number of times already. The playstyle seems normal given who the player behind the account is. I'd place my vote on Tuatara, but I'm not sure if I want a tie. It'd be great if there's a toss and only one player dies, though I wouldn't want two players to get lynched. Thoughts? -
