  1. "Huh," said Nogard, looking at the tigers. "So did you guys set off a trap, or...?"
  2. Nogard sneezed. Above, the sounds of fighting began. He frowned. "Should we be worried about that?"
  3. Lobsang frowned. Something was wrong. He could feel it. His sense of time was off. He pondered as he walked, too deep in thought to notice the angry mob pouring through the streets.
  4. Nogard watched the others make their way up. "Uh," he said weakly. "A lift, anyone?" Nogard hurried over and hopped on the stone escalator.
  5. Nogard was too stunned by the sheer toweriness of the real tower to answer.
  6. "Wow!" exclaimed Nogard. "This is quite the tower! It's so... towery!"
  7. Nogard shook his head. "Metabolism," he said resignedly. "Anyways. Here we are! The tower."
  8. Nogard frowned. "Huh. Is it just me, it has the temperature gone down a few degrees?"
  9. "Like I said, no idea what's up with that. Never happened to me before." Nogard jumped. "Gah! I didn't do it!"
  10. "Well, you did say to use the bridge. And I didn't know you had platform-generating capabilities. Have you always had those?"
  11. Nogard opened his mouth, then frowned. "You know... I'm not sure."
  12. "Well," said Nogard from behind Woe, "that was an experience."
  13. "I'd skip that one if I were you!" Nogard called back. "It looked extremely dodgy."
  14. Lobsang sniffed the item. "100% food," said C. M. O. T. Dibbler. "Guaranteed 100% food. Only two dollars, and that's cutting me own throat." Lobsang sighed, pulling two crumpled and ragged bills out of his pocket and handing them over. Knowing Dibbler, 100% was an overestimate- but, frankly, he would take any percent food. Living a life of austerity was all well and good, until you woke up one day with pieces of your anatomy loudly complaining.
  15. Nogard shrugged. "I'll trust your judgement!" He strode confidently onto the bridge, hopping over the missing planks and keeping one hand firmly on the rope railing.
  16. "Action is my middle name!" declared Nogard eagerly.
  17. "Never heard of it," replied the newcomer breezily. "I'm Nogard, by the way. Nice to meet you all."
  18. A young man hauled himself out of a crack in the ground. "Yes!" he replied. "Er, what is this group, again?"
  19. "Hey!" said a voice suddenly. "What's this I hear about an adventure?"
  20. ...! keeled over to the ground, dead. "... huh" remarked Selppaenip. He supposed that would do.
  21. In the process, he accidentally [verb]ed all over ...!
  22. Sepplaenip would have to kill ...'s greatest enemy.
