  1. Jacob put his clipboard away at last, with a slight sigh. He'd rather liked his pen.
  2. Jacob got out yet another new pen, shaking his head while doing so.
  3. Jacob got out another new pen, with a Look in Truthless's direction.
  4. Jacob frowned, then sighed. He snapped once, and the clipboard appeared in his hands. He shook his head, writing something down.
  5. Xino raised his eyebrows. "I thought you hated him."
  6. Jacob put away his clipboard and followed Jaywalk and Granite.
  7. "Observing," said Jacob simply, pulling out a clipboard and pen. He looked askance at the void Max held, then nodded, writing something down on his clipboard.
  8. Nekorb pushed the door open hesitantly, peering inside as if afraid to commit to stepping through the door. This was the place, right? It looked like it, at least.
  9. No one seems to be able to agree on what Author means. Which, incidentally, was exactly where Jaywalk, Granite and Max were.
  10. Jacob tsked once and followed Jaywalk. If he was teaching Narration, he had better be supervised.
  11. Xinoehp shook his head. "No, I'll... I'll be fine. It's over now."
  12. Xinoehp shook his head. "I... I don't know. There was.... screaming. Shattered screaming." He shuddered. "That's the best word for it I can think of."
  13. "The screaming..." whispered Xinoehp, eyes distant. He shuddered, shaking his head and trying to put it out of his mind. "What were we doing, again?"
  14. Xinoehp groaned, awoken by the sheer cringe of that pun.
  15. Pheonix's eyes widened. Tom gaped. "You did what?"
  16. Tom looked thoughtful. "Maybe..." he said slowly. "It might not be that different from the one we're designing. But Silence has access to resources we do not, so perhaps..." He shrugged. "The real question is, are you willing to brave Silence's realm again? Author only knows how you managed to escape this time."
  17. Neil watched the waves rise and fall, the chatter of the women behind him a distant echo in the back of his mind. Such a powerful force, and yet… so calming, so relaxing to watch. One could almost stop thinking altogether, watching the waves. Let go, and forget your worries. Forget, and remember… Standing on the shore, a single smudge against the scarlet sunset. Watching the waves. Waves, slowly shifting in ways no wave should. Showing what waves should not show. Seeing what was, and what had been, and what was yet to be... Neil? asked Daa, his quavering voice pulsing through Neil’s mind. Reality rushed back in in a flood, shattering his brief vision and stealing whatever remembrance it had brought. He shook his head to clear it, absently responding to Daa -Yes?- as he tried to remember whatever it was that had just slipped from his mind. It was important, he knew it was. Daa pulsed again in his mind, anxious. Are you… alright? Neil sighed, turning away from the waves. Yes, he responded. I’m fine.
