  1. I vote yes for rules 5&6 to be constant.
  2. A floating ball of aquamarine light descended towards the duo. Don't forget me! she called.
  3. Nekorb stood in the corner, shivering. It sure was cold down here. He figured he ought to be terrified. People had just died, after all. Other people had crazy abilities like turning things to stone, or flying, or whatever that girl had that allowed her to survive getting eaten- not them. And sure, he could resist Investiture, but what use was that when a monster swallowed you whole? But all he felt was a sort of numb resignation. This would be dangerous. He knew that. He'd known that when he'd signed up. And it wasn't that he liked risking his life. Quite the opposite, in fact. It was just.... this job paid well. (Probably because of the whole 'risking your life' thing). And he needed the money. So he'd keep going. For now. He rubbed his arms, resolving to bring a jacket next time. If there was a next time.
  4. Any Sanderson book.
  5. Write a limerick detailing a plot event.
  6. Echoes of laughter bombarded Ruin from every direction. Will you, now? hissed Michael. You should probably leave now, continued Aqua, as the withergeists began to drift towards Sophie and Jaywalk. Unless you have some way to deal with withergeists?
  7. An Author? exclaimed the voice in surprise. Me? She laughed, a bubbling, free sound like the flow of a stream. Imagine that! But no, I’m just a character.
  8. Nekorb peeked around the stala-column he'd been hiding behind. "Is it dead?" he asked in a quivering voice.
  9. There was a pause. I… hmm... don't quite understand what you mean, said the voice carefully. I am Entity 512. Otherwise known as Aqua.
  10. No, said the voice, puzzled. Why would you think that?
  11. Ruin will be able to escape eventually; it is only a dreamseed, after all. Michael is doing most of the work in constructing the images, and he's not perfect. But it should take a while. Well done, said the aquamarine voice in a dry tone. I’m sure the withergeists will never spot a large, warm, living group like this.
  12. Michael's private space is a dreamseed. It can simulate practically anything, although (for the most part) nothing is real. Suddenly, a sound like a waterfall flowing drifted across the meadow. It rose to a crescendo of crashing spray and slowly faded away. Then a voice spoke. You should leave this place, Narrators. It will not be safe here for much longer.
  13. Oh, that's what that means. I see. I vote yes, I suppose, which means it passes. But since it wasn't in effect when my earlier motion was raised, I'll make it again. I move that rules 1, 2, and 3 be declared as constant. I also move that a rule of inactivity be declared: players that have not posted on the Nomic thread within a period of 72 hours will be labeled 'inactive', and will only count halfway toward the total number of players for the purposes of determining a majority.
  14. They aren't getting turned into light. None of what Ruin is seeing is real.
  15. Michael's laughs echoed off every surface as Astral, Luna, and everything else dissolved into a cloud of light. The floor disappeared under Ruin's feet, and he began to fall...
  16. Because Truthless had, at one point, swallowed a silver medal. He had digested it; it had become part of him. Now it was all that was left.
  17. A withergeist rose from its dissolute remains, its mouth twisted in a soulless grin.
  18. Reality warped in front of her, spilling her and Jaywalk into an unfamiliar meadow. Michael stood up slowly, keeping his gaze on Ruin the whole time. You made a mistake in coming here, Shard, he said. Then he smiled. And the walls exploded.
  19. Don't make assumptions, Sophie! thought Michael in aggravation. Things aren't always what they appear. Now, RUN! The rumbling was getting louder now. Shadows darkened as light slowly faded.
