The Longest Thread (Misadventures)
xinoehp512 replied to ElephantEarwax's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Xinoehp floated between waking and dreaming, light and shadow, life and death. It was cold. Why was it so cold? He could barely feel anything, it was so cold- his entire body felt... numb. Lifeless. Trapped, like a heavy iron weight was weighing it down. Like it was the weight holding him down. The thought crossed his mind that maybe he needed to just... let go. Let the weight fall, and rise to wherever it was he was going. And as soon as the thought crossed his mind, he realized that, if he wanted to, he could. But he didn't. Befuddled as his mind was, there was something deep inside him that insisted that he had something he needed to do here before he left. As the milliseconds passed and the temperature fell, it became harder and harder to hold on- but his will continued resolute. All of a sudden, a soft light flowed through him, and a pulse of warmth blossomed in his chest. A familiar, worried face swam in front of his vision. "Sophie?" he whispered. "What... what are you doing here?"- 111832 replies

"Yeah," said Xino, looking uneasily at the cavern. He tossed the doorknob star to Pheonix and summoned his sword and shield. "We should probably go." -
Sounds like a good reason to post to me. A poke vote seems reasonable enough, for now. Elandera. @Elandera

Pheonix stepped through the reality warp behind Star, eyes widening as he took in the broken scenery. "How long have you been in here?" he asked. -

Xino sighed, but a smile played at the corners of his mouth. "Somehow I knew you'd say that." Without further ado, he gave the star a sharp twist and pulled it out entirely. For a second, nothing happened. Then the doorway exploded into streamers of black smoke- leaving behind what could only be described as a hole in reality. Xino peered forwards through it, coughing slightly from the smoke, then looked back at Star and Pheonix. "Shall we?" he said. -

Sorry, Fifth. Because Elkanah has to be a villager. There's no way the elims would try and get at him like they have if he wasn't.- 229 replies

Mid-Range Game 40: A Defiant Rebellion
xinoehp512 replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Oh dear. It's one hour before rollover and Fifth still hasn't posted... *sigh* I thought I could trust you, but I guess I was wrong. I am the Engineer for the Village- probably the only one, if I know anything about how these games are balanced. I scanned Araris C1 and Abstrusity C2. Both times, they attacked someone. (That means they're both elims.) I sent a message to Fifth revealing Araris as an elim C2, hoping fully that he would come on and help save us. He got on, all right... but no post. So I'm going to do this myself. There are ten people left. I'm going to assume that three of them are elims, which leaves seven villagers. My lynch plus two villager deaths from the elims puts us at four villagers. That's still more than the elims- that means that unless one of the elims started with a gun, we still have a chance to win this. Especially because you now know who they all are. @Kynedath @Zillah @Sart @Rathmaskal @StrikerEZ @Elkanah If any of you can swing the vote towards Araris, or roleblock one of the elims, we can make it even more likely that we win. And whatever you do, don't let them get another gun! And Fifth... I'll give you one last chance. Stop this lynch on me. If you really just wanted to surprise the eliminators with a last minute vote, do it. Otherwise there is only one conclusion I can make.- 229 replies

Mid-Range Game 40: A Defiant Rebellion
xinoehp512 replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
This means that either TGK didn't protect anyone, or he was roleblocked and killed at the same time. I think the latter is more likely, which means that the elims have a roleblock. Either way, Elkanah is correct in stating that the elims almost certainly are the ones that have the gun at this point. --- Taifend spun and weaved, taking out one Krell after another. His radio chattered in the background. He paid as much attention to it as he could spare, which wasn't much. Luckily, he was good enough on his own that he didn't often need other people to help him. Mostly, he helped others. Most people didn't do that, he knew. Flight crews were intended to function as a tight unit, with each person's strengths covering for another's weakness. Taifend's only real weakness, though, was the difficulty he had working with others. Somehow, he could never really get the camaraderie that everyone else seemed to feel. It could be argued that having no friends made him a better pilot- he spent all his time he would have spent on others improving himself instead. But at the same time, was it really worth it? The leaders of the DDF seemed to think so, but Taifend wasn’t so sure.- 229 replies

Xino twisted the star back and forth a couple of times. "I think it's screwed in," he said after a few tries. "Here, why don't we just..." He trailed off as a wisp of black smoke escaped from behind the star and dissipated in the light. With unease, he glanced at the hole he'd blasted, black smoke still coalescing. "Are we sure we want to open this door?" he asked. "Behind this... I think it's the Nightmare Tree." -
Rumpelstiltskin breathed a sigh of relief as the dark fairy walked off. "I'm sorry, what?" he said, suddenly realizing the human girl had spoken to him. "Did you ask me a question?"

Mid-Range Game 40: A Defiant Rebellion
xinoehp512 replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
A player list, at last. Kynedath Not terrifically active, but has been helpful and has contributed some to the discussion. While I don't necessarily agree with his vote on Sart, I see where he was coming from. Slight village read. Zillah Similar as to Kynedath, he hasn't been the most involved in discussion, but has contributed in small ways. Slight village read. Elkanah It seems that a lot of the suspicion that Elkanah has come under has been because his posts 'feel off'- something I would guess is caused by his usage of codes, which I think is more or less completely NAI. Overall, both of the lynch trains on him seem to me to have the feel of eliminators trying to jump on small details. His high activity is good- the only thing I really find suspicious is his very late-cycle votes. Moderate village read. @Rathmaskal Not a whole lot of posts. I note that despite Fifth's request for him to explain his vote on Striker C1, he never did so. Care to elaborate now, Rath? Overall, a neutral read. In answer to your question, I did intend to vote... I fell asleep in the middle of catching up with the thread. @StrikerEZ Very inactive- failed to show up for C2 entirely. Similar to Rath, his vote C1 was vague- explanation wouldn't be unwanted. The Coda lynch might have been an attempt to save him, or it might not have been. Neutral read. Araris Valerian I didn't like the lynch train developing on Elkanah the first turn, and now that TGK has flipped village... I know that Araris tends to be an aggressive player, but his vote on Elkanah felt like an elim jumping on a small detail to try and get a lynch off. Nothing in C2 has really swayed my opinion away from that. Moderate elim read. My highest suspicion so far. (As a small, probably inconsequential side note, Araris mentioned that he likes to encourage discussion even when he's an elim. Shanerockes was an inactive, so if Araris is an elim, it would make sense that he would take him out. Make of that what you will.) Fifth Scholar I agree with pretty much everything Fifth Scholar has said so far. He seems like he's seeing things similarly to my (obviously village :P) perspective. Moderate village read. Abstrusity I'm slightly suspicious of Abstrusity. I don't like either of the lynches that have sprung up on Elkanah, and the second one feels similar to the first. Slight elim read. Sart I'm not a big fan of Sart's idea, but I think's it's NAI. I'm not a huge fan of his vote on Elkanah, either, but it feels more genuine. Neutral read. Questions for the GM: if a player is attacked but survived, will that appear in the writeup? Also, what was the item count last round? @Elandera- 229 replies
