  1. "No..." whispered Elaine. "King of a different world." "What do you mean?" asked Elaine, confused.
  2. "I am called Elaine," whispers the woman, her eyes fixated on the point of Baalhan's weapon. "S...servant of King Aridith."
  3. Faint echoes carried down the tunnel ahead of the group. "...destroyed? Already? I only just created them, my lord..." A pause. "Well, you did say that we weren't expecting anyone." Another pause, followed by a faint sigh. "Understood, my lord." The echo of footsteps grew louder and louder until their source turned the corner and came face to face with the group. She appeared human, for a most part, but with a few striking differences. First of all, her wings- even folded up and from the front, at least the tips were visible. Second, a pair of apparently arthropodic antennae sticking out from the top of her head. And third - perhaps the most striking of all - shimmering, multifaceted pupils. If one looked closely, one would also notice a ring of pure blackness within the violet irises that surrounded them. Those eyes widened slightly as they met those of the group's. For a moment, she seemed stunned speechless. @Channelknight Fadran @AonEne @Mist @RadiantDramaQueen @Vapor @Spren of Kindness @Nathrangking
  4. Borzen rummaged through his pack, searching through the many trinkets he'd dreamt up over the years. "Aha!" he called triumphantly, pulling a small metal token in the image of a compass. "Now- just need to restore this..." A few seconds of more rummaging later, he pulled out a magnifying glass. He held it strategically between his eyes and the token, then reached forth carefully- pulling out a full-size compass. Borzen brought the compass up to his face, observing its needle spinning uncertainly back and forth. "Study Village," he whispered. At the words, the needle ceased spinning and pointed in a single direction. Borzen turned his glance towards where it pointed- straight into a sky-scraping mountain range. "Hmm," he muttered to himself. "I'll need something to get over that..." He looked at the sword thoughtfully. He flipped the magnifying glass over and held it front of the sword, causing it to appear tiny in the lens. "Not quite," he muttered, reaching out and rotating the lens a few degrees. "Wait... almost... aha!" He pulled the glass away, looking triumphantly at the result- a brown carpet covered in floral patterns. He knelt down on it and placed the compass in front of him. "Away!" he called, and the carpet lifted off.
  5. But the orcas had a different plan for the avocados.
  6. It enabled them to discover avocados across the known universe.
  7. Borzen Oeszno opened his eyes in the middle of a forest. Ah, he thought. Still dreaming, then. He pulled himself to his feet using a nearby tree and surveyed his surroundings. The forest wasn't too dense, as forests go- although, to be perfectly honest, he'd never stepped foot in a real one in his life. Too much nature for his tastes. Evanotypes were as much as he could handle. In his right hand, he held a sword. It was made of what appeared to be bronze and had an odd floral pattern etched into it. Like one of my grandmother's cushions, he contemplated. Perhaps his brain was trying to tell him something. All of a sudden, a voice began to speak. "Quite a stir back there, huh? The name's Zachary Holcomb. Pleased to meet you, but I don't believe I caught your name before...?" Borzen whipped his sword up into a guard position instinctively. "Halt!" he cried. "Who goes there?" @DrakeMarshall (the sword is actually a cushion, by the way)
  8. Sheln edged carefully around Shana and James, flicking his eyes between the three Radiants. Light, I wish I had my shardblade, he thought.
  9. Grace popped into existence, noticed the seal, and nodded appreciatively. Glad to see at least one Narrator whose considerate of their surroundings, she said drily. --- Rekaerb sighed. "Guess it's just you and me, huh?" @The_Truthwatcher
  10. A loud, long snore came from the corner of the growlery, where a man whose name no one seemed to recall lay fast asleep against a wall. Wrapped around his arms were a set of intricately carved metal bracers. The astute among the attendants would be able to identify the mystery metal as bronze- an answer that would perhaps explain the inert attendant. --- The game is yet young. I have little to say on the rules as for now; there is precious little information available to me at this time. The most intriguing mechanic to me is the limitation on the eliminator kill. It would seem that the elims will be limited in their ability to confer this game, which can only be good for the village, but I have yet to discern what practical consequences this constraint will cause. Once people begin getting their items, I suggest we reveal their uses in thread in order to promote the cause of greater enlightenment. Do be careful, however; it is possible that some items will draw fire from the hidden murderers.
  11. [Tazeroth,] whispers the island. [My connection to you still lingers.] Rekaerb grunted. "Sure, go ahead."
  12. Here I am, 2 hours before rollover. 10 pages is a lot- I'll see what I can do, but I probably won't be able to get anything out until the night turn.
  13. The air rings with the absence of the croven's twisted cries. [Well done,] says Tazeroth, faintly.
  14. And he could throw his archnemesis an additional thirty feet or so.
  15. Instead, they crawl around on the ground, hissing as they lunge at the feet of the party members. The birds' hiss is choked off as the Blade passes through them- but only for a moment. Ashes trickle down from the sky, but not as many as could be expected. Still, the groups efforts have caused a noticeable (if slight) difference in the size of the flock.
