  1. The salmon was extremely startled by the sudden exclamation.
  2. The man reaches the top of the stairs. His eyes fall on the pattern etched into the floor directly beneath a hole in the ceiling. With shaking hands, he pulls an orangish-red orb from his backpack and moves to place it in the center. He can feel the power pulsing in the orb, giving off a feeling of anticipation as it approaches the symbol. Just as the orb is an inch away from the stylized floor, something stops it in its tracks. A black knife, thrown from the hand of his opponent, carried by the wind the last few yards just in time to halt his goal before it could be accomplished. He has just enough time for his heart to sink before a wall of wind slams him into the wall. Miraculously, his grip on the orb remains firm even as the wind continues its relentless assault. He struggles to breathe, to move, to somehow fight the pressure holding him in place. A cold tingle races down his neck as his captor strides towards him. A few moments later, he hears her footsteps as she reaches out to pull the orb from his hands. His mind is suddenly filled with a sense of deja vu as he recalls the first time he'd been pinned by the winds of his adversary. The day that had started it all. He'd failed then- but someone had been there to catch his mistake. There was no one to catch his mistake now. Or... was there? With one final act of desperation, the man reaches deep inside of himself and pulls on his bond with the orb in his hand. And with a sigh of relief, the barrier breaks. His pursuer is flung across the room as reddish-orange energy pulses from him.
  3. This fits, I guess.
  4. Jack rode in on his hover vehicle, staying a few feet above. "We ready?" he called, vial in hand.
  5. "Thanks!" said Gerald, taking the ice cream and beginning to consume it.
  6. It was dusk in the field, the sky painted from horizon to zenith. A cool breeze rustled the wildflowers among the grass. Stars dotted the sky, bright in defiance of the eternally lingering sunlight.

Below the stars, a silent group watched. In all their years- which, despite their youth, were many- no vista such as this had ever graced them with its appearance.

“Wow,” breathed one of them, a young boy around ten. This remark was met with similar exclamations of excitement from the others of the group - a chorus of wonder.

Aside from the crowding youth, the mentor smiled, reminiscing on years long past. He still remembered his first visit to this place, centuries ago. Things had changed since then. He had changed. He’d made friends and enemies, loved and lost, even helped save the world once or twice. But in spite of it all, this garden of eternal dusk remained unaltered.

“Welcome,” said he, “to the Land of Dreams.”

It's not really for any RP, although it is a part of canon.

It's cute, I like it. Is it a specific character?

  7. "Yes, please," replied Gerald.
  8. In an ancient temple, not too far away, a man races up stone steps three at a time. The fate of the Vibrant Threads depend on him reaching his destination before his pursuer. His pursuer. Hair in a ponytail, black eyes glittering with malice, a woman with nothing but darkness in her heart rides the winds. She is far behind, but gaining quickly. It has been a long chase. Others would have given up long before. But not these two. They have failed before; they will not fail again. They cannot allow it. But the end of the race draws near, and only one of them can win. The only question left is which of them it will be.
  9. "Close enough," replied Jack. "I have the vial of antidote. You want me to fire?" @Negative_Null @Channelknight Fadran
  10. The salmon would have to take this higher up.
  11. "Have you noticed any of the recent events?" @Jaywalk
