  1. "This day just keeps getting weirder," replied Davey, throwing down a rope ladder. "First that weird metal box-thing, and now this."

A man stepped forwards from behind his hiding spot. He was tall and athletic, and he held a bow in one hand. His eyes seemed strange in some undefinable manner. He sized Trylle up for a few moments. "Ah," he said. "You're the new team."
  3. "Visitors?" A head popped out of the treehouse. "Did these ones fall out of the sky, too?"
  4. Jared frowned. "Wait- that was the first time you spoke like that?"
  5. Gerald watched the swordfighting, blinking the sleep from his eyes. "Are you going to join them?" he asked Melody.
  6. From a bush, a pair of brown eyes watched.
  7. Unfortunately, they were short on 16 ton weights.
  8. It proved critical in the battle against the fruits.
  9. "No, not ordinary silence. The kind used to talk like this- He cut off, grimacing in pain.
  10. Jared blinked. So Nekri wasn't a mime. That meant... honestly, he had no idea. Maybe he was a rogue user...? but no, that made no sense, why would he have revealed himself to Jared if that was the case? Well, unless... "Tell me," asked Jared abruptly, "what do you know of Silence?"
  11. "Morning indeed," replied Gerald. "And hopefully the beginning of a glorious day."

If Nekri was a mime, he would understand.
  13. This went about as well as you could expect.
  14. Gerald gasped as he was suddenly thrust into awareness. Fragments of his dream lurked in his mind- dark fragments. He forced his tentacles to calm their quivering. It was only a dream, after all. Nonetheless, he couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy as he got up for the day.
  15. "Rivals?" said Lucas Miranda Lucas. "I don't have rivals."

All of a sudden, an arrow whooshed over Trylle's shoulders. The creature behind her let out an urk as the projectile embedded itself in its chest. A few moments later, it exploded.
  17. A bolt of lightning flashed in the distance. Thunder rolled ominously across the barren fields. The villainous octopus stood, admiring his handiwork in the dying light of a shattered sky. At last, he had finally realized his fatal flaw, and conquered it. No more would failure burden him to the earth; now his ambition would take him to the heavens. His creation fluttered gently, awaiting his direction. With a sinister chuckle on his lips, the octopus slithered onto the invention that would- at last- give him the world.

The creature screamed, putting on a burst of speed until it was nipping at her heels.
