It made him uneasy... but then again, Nekri had acted against Cynthia, so it would seem unlikely that the two were allies. And he'd need help from someone if he was going to get home without using Silence. Speaking of which... "I would be inclined to think not," he rebutted carefully, "given that she took no notice of you."

    The creature flowed through the forest, moving as though the trees and branches weren't even there. While Trylle may have been faster, the concentration expended on dodging gave the creature just enough of an edge to keep pace. It spat fiery venom in Trylle's direction.
