  1. "Well... you must, regardless. All who wield the power of Silence must be trained, for the safety of the Thread."
  2. "Of course. You will need to be mentored in the proper usage of your newfound abilities."
  3. "You are very welcome," said the consultant, standing up. "Now. When should we next meet?"
  4. "Security? Do you mean to say it is a sort of guard?" "Okay, got it." Nogard went into the hallway and began counting doors. Unfortunately, he mixed up his directions and took the third right instead. "Well," said Bacon meekly, "you do seem to be enjoying your argument quite a bit." "Of course it wasn't," said the consultant, switching back to normal speech. "I was there to walk you through it, after all."
  5. More or less. The consultant seemed amused. You have demonstrated the ability to manipulate the forces of Silence, and you possess a portion of that force inside of yourself. You may not have all the capabilities of one such as myself, or your Ennuller friend, but that is simply a matter of practice.
  6. The consultant inspected Shoe carefully, then nodded. Congratulations, he said. You are now an Ennuller. Bacon cleared his throat. "Well, uh... nice to meet you, Faunus! Do you have any plans or goals, or are you just going to go with the flow?"
  7. "What is this 'Linux'?" asked Selppaenip curiously. "Um. Which way did you say the teleporter was, again...?" "What on earth do you mean? Rain doesn't have any pizzazz at all!" "Well, I know you're important somehow. I had a premonition." He snapped his fingers absent-mindedly, vanishing away the sand. Good. Now, compress it and condense it into a single core. Bacon made some protests, but they were muffled by the ice. Not the split core technique! Hmm. I suppose you can't speak normally either, then? Bacon finally managed to break free of the ice. "Well! Tam, that was-" He cut off when he saw Faunus and Subversion glaring at each other. "...uh... I'm not interrupting anything, am I...?"
  8. "I hope you are finding existence palatable?"
  9. Hmm. Well, it's likely because you've never done anything like this before. Now that you've formed a vortex, pull the rest of the dark energy into it and compress it. Bacon accepted the cake happily. "Oh yes! I almost forgot. Hello to you too!"
  10. Selppaenip brandished a wrench and set to work. "So she's alright?" asked Nogard, relaxing. "Well, of course, but you have to have some pizzazz. This is an important person, after all!" Well, something moved. That's good! Now try to make a circular motion.
  11. "Nice to meet you, Faunus! Now, do you know why you are important?"
  12. Just... push on it. With your mind. "Thank you, Lady Bug. See, she agrees with me!" "Very well. I will limit my damage at your request. Direct me to the beasts!" Nogard hesitated. "And... Jilu?" "We've got to welcome her to the Thread, don't we? How are we supposed to do that without confetti?"
  13. "Ah!" exclaimed Selppaenip. "Are these 'Computer Systems' fearsome beasts in need of vanquishing?" "The other people who were on the battlefield. Uh, that weren't on your side, of course." "What's wrong with my confetti?" grumbled Bacon.
  14. "Hello, Tam! Are you practicing being in multiple places at once?" Just try and redirect it at all, for now.
  15. "What is your name, important person?" asked Bacon, holding out a microphone. "Kills anything. Nice and simple." No, that's LessName's character's showing-up party. Reach out and try to redirect it.
  16. Confetti exploded as the banners unrolled. They read Hello, [Insert Name Here]! "Welcome, very important person!" proclaimed Bacon. "Well, I picked up a mordite sword back in the town. Will that do?" "Whenever he wakes up, I suppose!" "And... the people who didn't come with us?"
  17. Bacon observed the scenery. "Hmm. I don't feel more oracular." "Then defend I shall!" Selppaenip stashed the envelope in his pocket. Nogard nodded, then hesitated. "What about... everyone else?" Bacon crossed "running in terror" off the to-do list and added "beat up mysterious enemy."
  18. "...I don't see the problem. All those things were awesome!"
  19. "Got it. I'll put 'running in terror' on the to-do list." Bacon set up party poppers and banners. Someone important was going to show up soon: he could feel it in his bones. "Hmm. Let me give it a try." Bacon scrunched up his forehead. "The dread Plotblades will be discovered by... Three rabbits in a trenchcoat? Well, that can't be right." "Ah!" said Selppaenip. "I must defend the innocent from the contents of this envelope?" "Er... Do you have rooms for us, or...?" Yes, that would be the Nullite. Focus on that! Feel how it flows throughout your body.
  20. Yes? said the consultant eagerly. Hello! Uh... Well, are you making a Narrator Less, or will they go by some other name?
  21. "Oh my! Should we start running again?" You are sure you are focusing properly? Make sure you have cleared your mind of all other distractions. The consultant's voice was patient, but his finger-tapping betrayed his true emotions. He may have a certification, but that doesn't make him a good teacher.
  22. Well, it wasn't exactly fixed, was it? Merely restrained. And it sounds like you were powerless against it.
  23. Well, perhaps you want Shoe to struggle with this, in which case he would have difficulty or not be able to sense anything at all. Or perhaps you want Shoe to succeed; in which case, he would detect the nullite as veins of ordered-dark power running through his soul. Well, we'll get to that part eventually- I promise! But first, we have to work on the basics. Here, follow me. He opened a hole into the Void and stepped through it into an empty, doorless room. Now, I saw on your report that you have very little natural control over your own soul. Is this true?
  24. Well, depends on whether you want this to work right away or not. The ostensible purpose of the exercise is to help Shoe sense the flows of power within him.
  25. The consultant was somewhat perplexed. What can you sense about yourself? About your soul?
