Gerald shrugged. "Seems like a reasonable thing to do. After we finish the job for Fate, of course."
-
"No, she definitely wanted to escape. Being imprisoned is sort of a powerless state, you see. She couldn't gain power while trapped in that way."
-
"She's a very power-hungry individual. In fact, there might not be much else to her beyond lust for power." But... they're all walking together.

@The Unknown Order @Zephrun's Imperium @Nameless @Knight of Iron @STAG @Szeth Facpalm @Elf_at_heart, does anyone not have a thing for each round?

Gerald cocked his head as he processed Q's monologue. "You seem unique," he remarked. "Was... whatever happened... because of that?"
-
Gerald followed. Didn't we have a scabbard at one point? he wondered. Oh well. He was probably misremembering.

Mr. Larue gasped, and the void warped around them even as Vapor pulled them into her mindscape. "Careful," he gasped. "Portals... leave trails. They can track us. I've left a maze for them... should throw them off for now." James, who had been waiting patiently since Vapor had left, made an interested noise. "Who's the newcomer?" he asked. "Ready," said Jeffery, his voice hard and determined.

Ah, I see. @Zephrun's Imperium, you should send @Nameless stuff for what Doomstick hasn't done (which is rounds four five and six, I believe).
-
@The Unknown Order, what did you send to @Zephrun's Imperium?

The two plummeted through an endless plane of darkness. Around them, the darkness began to resolve into figures of absolute stillness. Vapor's grandfather cursed again. "They're onto us," he murmured. He squeezed Vapor's hand, and a thought passed into her mind; Could you open your mindscape, from here?

The Fellowship of the Thing-Other Stories
xinoehp512 replied to Negative_Null's topic in Roleplaying
Davey climbed down into the familiar damp tunnel, ducking his head to avoid the low ceiling. He glanced both ways, reorienting himself and adjusting his eyes to the dimness. "This way," he whispered, and set off. The tunnel led downwards, eventually coming out in the side of the main flow line. Davey had to make sure to avoid breathing through his nose during that part, but at least the tunnel was high enough he didn't have to stoop. After that were another few turns in the access tunnels, a careful shimmy across a metal grating, and a short jaunt through a ventilation shaft. Davey's nervousness slowly grew as the group approached the border. He'd visited these places before, out of curiosity, but this adventure was taking him further than he had ever been before. At last they reached the sign, written in large red letters, that marked the border between sectors. Davey paused for a moment, exhaling his nervousness. Then he continued. The tunnels on the other side smelled... different. Sewers all tended to smell nasty, but at least they were natural. This scent was decidedly artificial. Davey was relieved when, after only a few minutes of wondering through the access tunnels, they spotted a telltale ladder leading back to the surface.- 1040 replies
