  1. The door melted away, revealing the room beyond. It was circular, about ten feet in diameter, copper in color- free of oxidation. Lining the walls were numerous strange devices, many of which looked like swords or other weaponry. In the center, a fountain sprayed a clear, water-like fluid into the air. Mostly water-like. Despite its high arc, not a drop seemed to be spilling onto the floor. The air was silent.
  2. The walls shifted indistinguishably. The quarkbeast was walled off in a room of its own.
  3. The hacksaw was soon dulled on the wall. The survey wondered where Moni had gotten the saw.
  4. Except not really. It was just fine after it had spat the dust back out again. The survey wondered how good Moni was at waiting.
  5. The survey wondered what Moni's plan was. Professor Jones sniffed and departed. The Darkbeast finished consuming the universe it had been snacking on.
  6. She walked for a long while, the corridor curving slightly in the same direction the whole time, until she came to the door from which she had just left. The coin flipped tails every single time. "I was before," Professor Jones snapped.
  7. Beyond was a corridor, curving forth in both directions. Professor Jones went back to staring dully into the distance.
  8. There was a door through which the consultant had exited. "I will not help you with the consultants. I cannot."
  9. The consultant gave her an amused look, and left. Professor Jones closed her eyes. "I... I have seen enough of war."
  10. "It is fortunate indeed for us that containing you here accomplishes much the same purpose."
  11. "We expected you to finish it for us, thus ridding our rivals of their most powerful resource." Professor Jones was staring off into the distance.
  12. "It serves our purposes well enough to keep you here, for now." "It was a room?" 655 offered helplessly.
  13. "We are not short of patience. Your stubborn insistence will get you nowhere." He shrugged helplessly.
  14. The Darkbeast ground the bones of the Skeleton into dust, then consumed the dust. "You are free to go when you give up the survey or finish it." 655 sighed. "I don't know. We went to the consultants, and I got lost and ended up here."
  15. It was true that the destruction of a single universe had little effect on the grander scope of TLT as a whole. But for the residents of the universe thus destroyed, it was the end of everything. To them, it surely seemed as though the Darkbeast was death itself come to collect their souls. 655 stared into the sky as it tore apart, stars flickering out one by one as the Void broke through. It would reach him, soon enough.
  16. Professor Jones sighed. The nameless consultant entered the room. If it was, the Witherlord brought it back. The Darkbeast started ripping a hole through the universe it was currently situated in.
  17. The Darkbeast ate all the food in the vicinity.
  18. Gerald felt at the door. There seemed to be no handle or lock for it. "Perhaps touch the amulet to the door?" he suggested.
  19. Once more the time has come,

For you to advance a year in age.

Or so I gather. I wish you well.

    1. NameIess

      NameIess

      Thanks for the well wishes!

  20. The consultant grabbed the crystal and warped away. Moni awoke in an empty room.
  21. Grace raised her gloved hands and washed the Pacis in a wall of fire.
  22. The consultant poured energy into the Silent Blade, sending sparks of Void throughout Nameless's form. [Unauthorized Connection Detected] With a snap, the connection between Moni and the crystal was broken.
  23. The consultant summoned a blade of Silence through the wrist of the hand holding the teardrop.
  24. The consultant suddenly squinted at Moni. He murmured something that Moni couldn't hear. A consultant appeared from thin air and removed the crystal from Nameless's hands.
  25. "Your fellow servant." They turned the corner. There it was; a copper door, green with age, inlaid with intricate designs of hammers and anvils.
