No. If your bid winds up being more than you can afford, then it will be reduced to what you can afford; if that winds up being less than the minimum amount, then the bid will not count and no boxings will be lost. A response must be at least fifty words in order to qualify. Different responses to the same person will be counted separately for the purposes of Loudest Voice, but only if they are from different posts. Responses to the same post will be summed together.

I will rule that in most cases, what the program says goes. The only exceptions are: if you forget to put in a vote flag (i.e. you have a color-vote occurring after any or no vote-flags) if your vote is flagged but you include a color-vote in the same post that disambiguates it. Once the player list is finalized, I will make a list of official monikers that are guaranteed to work, in case anyone has trouble. I've added an Update Now link to the website, so if you're wondering whether your vote counts you can check right away instead of having to wait. All text within quote boxes of any type will be ignored. Also there was a bug where the vote text itself was strict about capitalization, but that should be fixed now. Capitalization will not matter, nor will punctuation. The software will detect votes in edits; it references the current state of the thread whenever it updates. That being said, don't edit in a vote flag unless you made a colored vote and forgot to include it or are the most recent post. This is especially important this game, as the order in which votes are made matters a great deal. The program will not be able to recognize typos by default that are not a substring of the original name (so "Matrix" would not register for "Matrim", but "Matri" would). The vote will be flagged. "The Wandering Wizard" is in the list (as is everyone who played BT2 or LG86), so that is currently the case. Once signups conclude, I will restrict the list so that only people playing the game can be voted for. If Wandering Wizard were to join, votes for them would need to be "Wandering" or "Wizard". The Unknown Novel would need to be "Unknown", "Novel", or "TUN". (Or some unique substring thereof, for either.) If there are two vote flags in a post, the software will count the first one. (In general, I would advise that you avoid including two vote flags in a post.) Given that this a QF game, yes. However, if you make a colored vote and then realize that you forgot, you may edit a vote flag in- and indeed, I would advise that you do so.

Assuming the vote counting software is in effect, coloring votes is not strictly required; I would recommend it regardless. Players will start with 0 boxings.

The vote counter should accept any uniquely identifying substring. So xino, xinoehp, xinoehp512 should all work for me, Mat, Matrim, Matrim's Dice would work for Mat (Although for the last one, the counter actually won't register the second word; it only registers the first.) I, uh, thought TUN was an honorspren. Hoid did in fact claim defector in our doc. I'm less confident than Archer that that makes him good, but not enough to vote him. I'm going to vote Bookworm, partially for self-pres, and also because their abstention from voting last round strikes me as suspicious.

Cryptics less so, but providing cover for the Perspacious would be good. To me this reads like somebody who wants claims trying to elicit claims without appearing like they are for eliciting claims. Suspicious. TUN. The coinflip thing is wrong in that a 2-villager death case, next cycle is LyLo. Even if an elim dies at that point, the remaining one is still only a cycle away from victory. It wouldn't be a smart idea to make a deal with an elim even if they are in your doc, right? Since you can't win with them. If they die, you'll be essentially confirmed good. Keeping them alive does nothing for you. Even attempting to target the other elim wouldn't help, since they need to die anyway before you the other faction can win. The only hope for someone in that situation would be that the elim team takes mercy on them and/or there's a defector on the other team. I guess maybe if the elim threatened death unless you complied? But that seems like a risky strategy for the elims.

The Safe sort of serves that purpose right now, but of course it won't work if the Thief gets lucky and targets the elim C1. I was toying with this idea, but worried that it might be too obvious that the boxing count was faked. Maybe that's not a reasonable worry though. Hmm. Active on the Floor measures interactions through quotes, perhaps Loudest Voice should also? I have a web scraper program that I could probably configure to count it up automatically. Not being able to win it twice in a row would also probably be a good addition. Yes. At the end of the cycle, the oldest vote on every train receives the boxings for that train. That is the intention. I'll clarify that. Theft money can be used the cycle it is obtained, just like all other methods of earning boxings. Also, a train can be only one person. The Thief should want to target the person with the most boxings, so the Loudest Voice or the leader of a vote train. I had some ideas for a secret body-hopping mechanic, but that could also work. Well, I was trying to make a Serial Killer + Neutral QF game in case I wind up running one soon, but I think it might be more of a MR now... which is unfortunate, as I don't have a spot on the MR list, and it took me almost a year to get as high as I have on the QF list.
