  1. So nobody was even attacked, apparently. I guess that makes sense, although attacking someone with possible random redirection is more fun.
  2. If Rath is willing to end the cycle early, I would be fine with ending the turn today.
  3. An elim disgraced striker would be overly powerful, as every elim would need to be lynched twice and a double lynch that doesn't work is essentially game over as the elims assassinate the Spy. An elim Arbiter and/or Survivor would be more reasonable. Last time we had the elims lead the argument that a striker-type role shouldn't save themselves from the lynch. These strikers are more valuable, but we also don't want to get in the habit of double-lynching although we'll probably have to at some point between potential elim survivors and D3 Disco EO. I don't think it's likely that Rath would say this as an elim unless there is a full vanilla elim team.
  4. There's no way Rath has iron will and silver bones, and regardless he probably would have told me if he had a legitimate way to survive an attack. I don't get to know who I redirected Rath to, but it seems nobody has gone insane.
  5. I was hoping the LG would be finished, but I suppose I can sign up as Faitren. Is the Reform Spy immune to the inactivity filter? I doubt the Reform Spy would go down that route, but they could.
  6. Mists just increases the passive chance of insanity, which you should be immune to. I did not track you last night, and if it was Venture he didn't tell me about it.
  7. If both elims are active, there's nothing anyone else can do. Save your mists for tonight so you don't go insane, although I suppose you can't go insane. I guess you can redirect someone's action just for fun.
  8. It is not actually possible to get a successful lynch today. A no lynch keeps our vote power high enough to have a lynch tomorrow. I don't think we lose at 2-2, especially if I'm still alive and sane. Tonight, we use Mists of Releh to redirect the kill with a decent chance of success, and a 40% chance of having the kill redirected to an elim.
  9. If Hats was an attempted convert, waiting for Aman to claim in a Necromancer PM wasn't going to do hats or Xino any good. There's nothing too much be lost by claiming, although the elims did know who the Necromancer was and would have killed CadCom before he could relay a message from Aman if Hats was evil. @Rathmaskal, you might as well retract your vote. If you're a villager, your vote isn't going to do any good, and it could be harmful if the Founder is the only elim active enough to vote. The Founder can shift a vote, but cannot touch a no-vote. It's unclear whether we have a Founder, but we might as well be cowardly and hope we don't reach the vote minimum.
  10. Why would that mean Xin and Hats aren't evil? It would be reasonable for the elims to scan Aman while killing him, just to see who he converted. Once Aman died, he became unable to say whether or not Hats was successfully converted and it would be simple for Xino to claim regardless of either's alignment. The Necronomicon was supposed to be handed out N2, and since nobody used it then I assumed somebody would N3. The dumbest interpretation of the clue is that roles were handed out based on RP names. This theory is almost entirely based on the fact that we had an Arr.chaeologist, a Governor Lord Ghent, and a village Innocent. That would suggest Enasni most out of the three candidates. Not all the names fit the role though, so this is probably false. @Rathmaskal, who did you use Mists on? If Elandera went insane from the Necronomicon, and I went insane from being attacked, it suggests that the Deep One didn't drive anyone insane, and thus there was only one active elim last night.
  11. There are now more elims than sane villagers, so how about we just lynch me and be done with it?
  12. There aren't any other day actions that are super useful at this point, so you might as well use Mists on a Founder candidate. The archaeologist should probably claim since we definitely don't have an active bounty hunter and the elims already know the archaeologist's identity. Their action is kind of risky, as it has a 1/12 chance of making the lynch even more skewed in the elims favour. Can Mists of Releh redirect other Mists actions?
  13. Looks like the elims took the safe way instead of the exciting way. That does increase the likelihood of a Deep One, as I took no action that would have caused insanity. We have 5-2 in terms of players. In terms of votes though, it's only 3-2 because Venture and I are insane. If the elims hammer, they have a base 80% chance of succeeding from the Founder, and if we choose the wrong target they won't even need to hammer. Using Mists of Releh in an attempt to change the Founder's target may be helpful, though there's only a 2/7 chance of hitting an elim even if someone manages to target the Founder. Did the owner of the Necronomicon manage to use it last night? @Elandera, @Snipexe, does the 1/3 village votes needed to lynch the Deep One include the Governor double vote as one vote or two? The latter would necessitate 6/3=2 votes, while the former should be 5/3=1.
  14. Fifth's death was definitely a self-sacrifice, as the kill others action takes place at night.
  15. Thus ends Fifth's first game starting as an elim. It appears we've had a subtle and unfortunate rule change, where self-sacrifice now allows the elims to convert even if the sacrificed member wasn't an inactive. Someone has now become an elim. I'm pretty sure that clears Ventyl at least. Either the Founder shifted a vote from CadCom to me, someone did Voices in the Crowd, or the archaeologist got very unlucky. The archaeologist could open claim except for the possibility of a bounty hunter or that the archaeologist is now evil. The owner of the Necronomicon can now use their item to grant a hint of the Deep One's identity.
  16. How does an archaeologist prove their role? We haven't had any unaccounted for Forbidden Idols, the archaeologist has no unique night actions that can tracked by discover the Hidden, items can be randomly gained N2 or later, and Aman was roleblocked D2. The best I can think of is that an archaeologist could have two items and you decided it was unlikely that an elim gifted an item to a teammate who already had an item. If I was not the Governor and there was no Founder, the extra vote on Striker would have to be a Voice in the Crowd or a Forbidden Idol. If you know an archaeologist, they would not have claimed to be responsible for that. The elims of course don't have to do anything if CadCom isn't evil, and if he is evil there was still time to do something about it. Why do you believe the Deep One is necessarily active? They haven't obviously used their Insanity ability, though it's entirely possible that you were the N1 target. Having multiple elims capable of going insane is plausible though.
  17. @ILuvHats, be sure to use your supposed Day tracking ability on someone capable of taking an action, preferably someone like Sart who we know is a villager. If you can successful announce someone's action and target, you should be able to prove that you were converted and are thus a villager. CadCom(4): Fifth, Venture, Rath, Ark Devotary(1): CadCom Xino(1): Araris
  18. You shouldn't know that the extra vote on Striker wasn't the Founder's work, but sure. If the Bounty Hunter was around they probably would have killed you. My Bodyguard Venture has gone insane. I did claim to Fifth N2 and didn't get attacked, but the extra two votes from redirecting me might have been worth sparing me if Fifth were evil. I'm sort of interested in hearing what CadCom's role claim is, but we may not get a counterclaim even if he was lying.
  19. Fair. Striker ended up being a villager, but he was one of the people who saved CadCom D1, and I do remember you and Aman saying that one of the three people who did had a fair chance of being evil. I can explain better if I ever become sane again, although you probably don't need it.
  20. Aman certainly didn't seem to know his power only worked on Fort Folk. I can confirm that I tracked CadCom N1 and saw that he scanned Araris. I haven't been able to determine whether that's evidence of a non-elim, or an elim wasting their action in the hopes of getting scanned, as CadCom was a high priority target after D1. I don't believe the Deep One used their reveal ability. I was driven insane attempting to Discover the Hidden on Sart, which it turns out was more redundant than I'd thought. I don't think Ventyl was a casualty of the Deep One, as he wasn't posting and Will!Ventyl would just be sacrificed today. There are enough inactives that the Deep One could be inactive, or submitting the kill instead of an inactive Will or an inconsistent Founder. I voted to save Sart as he was either one turn away from being a villager or would be easily outed by a scan. Striker didn't have a particularly high chance of being evil, but the only other vote was on me. I did not vote C1, either to save CadCom or condemn him.
  21. Sart, Striker I really don't like that Sart isn't responding despite being around, but I've decided to wait until tonight when Sart gets scanned and had better attempt to steal from someone. That puts the lynch at a tie, so we'll see how vote manipulation alters this low-count lynch.
  22. I was fairly sure that Sart was not the criminal, assuming that he would have taken the steal action. Even if he wanted to be scanned and converted to a villager, taking a steal action and proving a criminal claim would be preferable to not taking an action and thus not being able to prove his role. I'm not sure why Sart believed would have believed that neutral roles couldn't be converted, but it's fair that could have been a thought. Aman claims that at the very least, it's possible for a neutral role(Hoid) to be converted. I don't suppose the GMs will tell Aman whether neutrals in general can be converted, or that Aman would relay any information accurately if given. Criminal!Sart makes somewhat more sense now, but it's still confusing. @Sart, how close to rollover did you decide to retract your action, without telling Fifth that you were doing so and without telling Aman that you didn't want to join his doc? If, as Aman appeared to believe, you thought his win con was to recruit everybody to his doc, and that neutrals couldn't be converted, why would that be a threat to you when neutral win conditions are not game ending? If a recruit-all win condition were true, better a villager peacefully contributing to Aman's wincon than a neutral who Aman would have to eliminate. The case for criminal!Sart is that claiming criminal as an elim, then not taking any action would be highly suspicious given that there's no way to block an action scan other than a pallid mask Sart couldn't have had or hoping the 20% base failure chance occurred.
  23. Well in case Sart is the Deep One, we will need 1/3 of Fort Folk votes, which means three actual villagers have to vote(I think that's how the ability works). Aman and Fifth wouldn't count, and the now three subsequent votes can't necessarily be trusted. I'm not really sure what the likelihood of Sart being the Deep One given that he took no action according to Fifth and any Pallid Masks would have been removed by Aman's scan, but it doesn't hurt to be sure. With a 10% insanity chance and 12 - iron willed players capable of succumbing, it seems reasonable that one person would have become insane by Unforgettable Horrors even if the Deep One did nothing.
  24. The Dagon conversion can't be done until C3, so far as I can tell, as the conversion only goes through if the sacrificed player hasn't posted in two cycles. Of course we didn't even have a sacrifice, so it's definitely not that. Unless the elims have two different types of conversions for some reason, Aman would probably be some sort of neutral, and neutral win conditions aren't game ending so there's no real reason to kill neutrals. @Amanuensis, why might your conversion have failed?
  25. Silver bones is the other thing which could have allowed Araris to survive. Fifth can tell us if his insanity was likely the result of Dagon/Unforgettable Horrors or a failed Discover the Hidden to potentially find out whether the Deep One is using their ability.
