    new pet peeve just dropped

    people verbally abbreviating words that start with 'W'

    because 90% of the time, the 'abbreviation' is LONGER

    for example:

    "world record" 3 syllables

    "wr" 4 syllables ("double-you-are") 

    makes me so mad
