"That'd be good." Araha replied with a smile. "Thank you." Was she making a new friend? The thought excited her, but not too much so that it showed on her face. Damaya seemed to know about spren types too, more so than Araha. Maybe she could even tell her about Ran later?

Deras nodded and walked onto the grounds without taking a weapon, putting his arms up. He wasn't sure if it was proper form, but from the basics he'd learned, it would do.
-
"Understood. What little we fought was good. No address though, no home." Deras nodded and let the man leave. - The rest of the time was spent with the grounds master's training. The Lifeless wasn't too quick a learner, but he picked up the basics and a few more things as they trained. As the sun started to set, Deras approached the grounds master, he caught that his name was Devaan. "Groundsmaster," Deras begun, "thank you for training, but I desire proper fight. May spar?" He asked as he gestured to himself and Devaan. He was eager to learn more, if he could become martially adept, he could actually dodge blows instead of taking them head on, those syringes were running out, and he was unsure where he'd get more. He had 4 left, but wanted to save the final one to be analyzed later somewhere, maybe he could get more.

Araha's fear and confusion was replaced by caution and confusion. She took another breath. "Please stop juggling knives." She said as she stood up slowly, careful not to get accidentally stabbed by the flying knives, and standing so that they didn't fall on her. "You asked about a fabrial washing machine, right?" She asked, still cautious of the knives, "like I said, it's not around here, and you might have an easier time asking one of the ardents, which there are none here. And uhh... please stop juggling the knives, you could juggle something else though? Something lighter and less sharp?"

Deras walked back to the training ground proper after helping with the dreadnought. He turned to the man he was sparring with earlier. "Thank you for help." He nodded, "It's sorted. Resume spar?" He asked, wanting to continue to both improve and determine the outcome of the fight. @Spacefaring Ferring

Araha jumped as someone grabbed her arm. She turned to her side and saw the man from earlier. She felt mix of fear and confusion. "I-I-I, I don't know." She said. She felt that Ran was about to turn into a larger form maybe to try and intimidate the man. Araha touched the 'hair clip' as if to say 'it's alright, I got this.' She took a deep breath and looked at the man again, relaxing as much as she could. "I-I don't think you can find one here though, probably best if you ask someone who knows about these, like those Ardents, there aren't any Ardents here though." She was apparently good at talking without breaking when under pressure, it was still to be seen if she was good at diplomacy.

"Uh, sure!" Araha said as the other woman, Damaya, left, probably back to the kitchen from earlier. Araha wasn't sure if she was a cook here or one of the tenants, and that's what the owner meant by 'helping out.' If so, she could do that, she usually helped Master Soren cook and sometimes even did it herself, she wasn't a chef by any means, but she could cook a decent meal. A cryptic though. I'll have to ask Ran later. She thought. With that, she found a chair and settled, she figured she'd just idle in the lobby for a bit, maybe see some interesting people, since she seemed to have missed much by staying inside her room.

Araha took a battle stance when the man jumped and crashed into the floor, Ran still on standby. Though, the situation seemed to be resolved as the man disappeared when asked to leave. He was hopefully gone for good, at least for now. While her master taught her of multiple systems of Investiture that would've allowed the man to do that, she recognized that one as Gravitation, surgebinding, something she knew she had, but didn't know how to access. That was part of the reason why she came here to the Waystop. She took another beat to calm herself then looked around, realizing people were about. People to meet! She realized the woman had introduced herself, but it wasn't really Araha's fault that she couldn't respond directly, given the situation with the man. "I'm Araha." She said with a smile. "You said something about a spren?" Araha turned to the table she was referring to and could see some sort of geometric pattern. "That's a spren?" Her Master taught her about the different forms of Investiture and that some needed certain bonds, but she didn't know the different types of spren. This was new to her. She felt a small buzz of energy from her 'hair clip' "I mean umm..." She began, "No, uhh, no I don't see any spren!" She said panicked. She felt Ran sigh almost. "Yeah, I can see it actually." She gave up trying to lie.

"Err... n-no?" Araha was bad at lying. "Ok, yeah, that was me. I thought that was the library." She chuckled, which eased some tension, but she remained alert. "Anyway, so he's been walking in circles all this time? Is he a tenant too?"

Araha was once again woken up with a start as she heard the sound of shouting and wood splintering. "Ran?" She called out, semi-urgently. "I'm here." Her spren's voice came almost immediately, "I was out earlier, but returned before I could see what made the sound." Araha nodded and put her boots on, opening the door and jogging to the lobby. - When she arrived there, she saw what had made the noise: The wooden floor of the Waystop splintered and broken and a man crouched down above it. There was a crowd staring at him, of which she saw the owner of the Waystop and one of the cooks from earlier, the woman who was around her age, along with other people she didn't know. She didn't need to speak to Ran, she'd already know to get ready to engage in case things go poorly. Araha stepped by the cook from earlier, and whispered: "What's going on here?"

Araha fell asleep again in her room, completely oblivious to men whose feet are falling apart (likely literally), and wizards who disappeared in puffs of smoke. Ran was up though, spren don't sleep. She wanted to stay by little Araha's —well, not little but she liked calling her that in her mind, it was cute— side, but she was also curious at the happenings in the lobby, there were many interesting characters that she saw earlier and at the rate people were arriving, she surmised there might be even more that she's not seen before. She made sure as best as she could to be unseen, but also turned into as small of an object as she could do, a fly, no even smaller, a grain of sand. She flew, her luminescent form drifting through the wind and went down to the lobby, the first thing she spotted was a Cryptic under the furniture. What was one of them doing here? She then saw a man pacing in circles, wearing his feet on the floor. That wasn't her business even though she wished to stop him, if only from hurting himself. She'd have nodded to herself if she could, the place was definitely more packed than before, and this sated her curiousity. She flitted back into her and Araha's room, hopefully no one saw her, discretion and all that.

While the man, Clay, seemed to acknowledge what Araha just said, he looked worked up. Did she say something? He then told his horse to behave and dashed out of the room and into the hall. "...A strange man." Ran commented. "Yeah, but he seems nice." Araha replied. "That's likely." If Ran could shrug in her hair clip form, she would. "It might be best to head back to our own room now." "Well, we could just wait for the man to come back." "And if someone else comes here? And sees you, a young, pretty lady in the room of another tenant who happens to be a man?" Ran asked with a hint of sarcasm, or... the reverse of it. Araha blushed as that realization set in. "Bu-but I'm not doing anything with him! He just asked me to come inside his room!" Araha said in a raised tone, though raised in embarrassment than anger. "Sure, but people assume very easily." "F-fine, fine!" Araha got up and started walking to the door, only to see the horse almost blocking the way. She knew Clay told the horse to behave, but she was still wary of it. The gap under its legs seemed to be wide enough to slide under though, she didn't want to risk scooting along the wall. "Ran," "Yes." "Can you put yourself over me?" Araha asked, her voice a bit quiet. Ran sighed, she knew what Araha was about to do, it was likely unnecessary, but she didn't argue. Ran shifted forms into a woman exactly Araha's size though with a different face, then made herself visible to the horse and superimposed herself onto Araha. Araha took a deep breath and ran then slid down under the horse, Ran lagging behind just a bit to provide a sort of afterimage effect. Once they both cleared the gap, Araha got up quickly and ran back to her room, closing the door in case the horse gave chase for any reason. "Thanks, Ran." Araha laughed. The spren just shrugged, a hint of a smile dancing on her lips.

At the man's relief, Deras was also relieved and he found himself motioning to sigh, but found no air in his lungs, it was a strange feeling. "Understood." He replied. He didn't know what the Omnissiah was, but that was their business, not his. "Will help carry if need." Deras commented.
-
Deras continued prying, the opening now large enough that he didn't need his the sword anymore. At a thought, he dismissed the blade and grabbed hold of the metal itself, and pulled, bracing himself on the opposite end to get better leverage. The metal gave and bent, and the bolts on the rest of the frame popped off, making the metal even easier to bend outward with the help of the man in heavy armor, finally revealing what seemed to be a smaller sarcophagus connected to thick tubes. "What now?" He asked the man beside him.
-
Deras looked at the source of the voice: The person he was fighting earlier. "Hold sword, help pry open." He told the man. And left some space by the handle, grabbing hold of the blade at the blunt end, careful not to cut himself. He started pushing and he could hear the metal start buckling, thankful for his nigh-infinite, likely infinite amount of stamina. He intended to evacuate the person inside to be properly healed. He wasn't sure whether there were healers here or if he had to take this man several kilometers to the hospital from before. Or even if the man would survive on such a journey, but he didn't care. Right now, he just needed to get the man out.

The noise made Deras hesitate, the mech from earlier was down and sparking. He stopped in his tracks, but put an arm up in case the man, he believed his name was Zaphoid, was about to attack. "Sorry." He started, "might have to continue later. Need to help." He finished and dashed toward the downed mech, ignoring any farther attack from his opponent. Another man swearing up a near-literal storm beside the downed mech. "No exit?" Deras asked as he looked around the mech, looking for doors or hatches he could pry open but found nothing. He had an idea. He called upon the strange sword and it dropped into his hands five heartbeats later. He put the sword tip-first into one of the cracks in the metal and pushed in careful not to hit the man inside, the thick metal resisted, but he managed to plunge the sword through a decent ways. Deras began prying at the metal, it was thick and gave even more resistance than pushing it in. He stuck to one direction and held the sword with both hands as he began to wrench the metal and after a while of straining, the metal started to give, and the crack started widening. "Need help. Open quicker." He said, not a hint of straining in his voice.

Araha noticed the horse shift its weight and jumped back, ready to block. She put her hands down as the man calmed his horse. She complimented herself on her improving reflexes, although a ChayShan-based block without any of the power of the Dor behind it was likely to not stop a horse's hooves. The man invited her to come in and she did, still wary of the horse, having to scoot along the walls to avoid touching it and aggravating it. "I'm.. Araha. Yeah." She replied with a smile, this was the only other person she'd met besides Ran and Master Soren. Kicker was an appropriate name for the demon at the door. ...she hoped it couldn't read her mind or something somehow. "We're--" she cut herself off again. She really needed to get used to that, "uhh, I'm here at this moment, right now, because I wanted to meet people, I guess." She avoided telling him that the reason she was here at the 'Stop was because her master sent her here in hopes to help her understand her bond with Ran better.

After Araha left the kitchen, she just kept wandering, still interested in the library, but more just trying to commit the place to memory. As she reached one end of the hallway she turned to walk back. She saw a man and his horse pass by. ...A man and his... horse? Her feet carried her to where the man and his horse was, too curious and intrigued. "Just be cautious Ara." Ran said, knowing full well how hard her curiousity was to sate. "Yeah. Yeah. I'm cautious." Araha replied without missing a beat. She reached their room and stared. It was indeed a man and his horse, and he was just unpacking like the horse wasn't even there, like it was a bag or such. "Uhh..." Araha began, her intrigue and curiousity fueling her want to meet new people. "That's a good... horse?" She muttered out the worst introduction which earned her a small, barely audible chuckle from hairclip-Ran.
