Deras ran, faster, much faster than a galloping horse, he'd just seen the laser, and his copper-granted mind worked over time. He needed that weapon, more and more furyspren manifested themselves, Deras almost looking like a meteor upon reentry. He kept running at the gunner who just fired the laser. If he fired at him, he'd know and dodge, he had the danger sense of a low Epic. He breathed in, summoning his shardblade and with a feral tinge, almost inhumanly, he roared again: "GIVE." @Grey Knight

"Not destroyed. They just stopped firing." They turned the corner, and ducked into her own room. She closed the door and locked it, and set Damaya on her bed, putting the few spheres she found beside her head. She set to work. There was a single window in the room, she closed the curtains and she put the cloak hanging on the rack over the window. "Watch the door," she told the man, I'll watch the window." Though she knew she'd be fine, she was slightly worried about Araha, and this was the only bit of emotion she allowed herself to feel. @wiritospren @Sorana

Deras reached the next platoon of marines shooting plasma into the infantry and killing them, he reached one of the cultists and bashed his head in twice with a gun, and started shooting again, felling more of them. The shell from before damaged one of the tanks heavily. In the distance, he saw some commotion. He had an idea. He sucked in as much air as he could, which was a lot, then released all of it in as loud a roar as he could muster, and a furyspren briefly sparked into existence before disappearing just as quickly. He managed to turn the attention of most Chaos Marines toward him, including the ones who were making a commotion. (Mr. Amber and Ski @Life&Death) He unloaded and ran out of ammunition, so he picked up a bolter and a lasgun from nearby corpses. firing into the still-numerous horde of Chaos Marines, his own loosely put together armor held, but it wouldn't for long. He was out of enhanced regeneration as well, the battle had to end quickly. He darted around the battlefield, firing bolt and lasfire at everything that was Chaos Marine. Killing more and more, when he ran out of ammunition, he threw the weapons at the enemies with ferocity that it knocked them back, without destroying their armor. The rhythm returned, it was exhilirating, but not intoxicating, the furyspren also returned. He re-summoned his shardblade and begun hacking at the marines, his combined speed, strength, rage, and the blade destroying their armour even with the aluminum, and burning their eyes out. Deras jumped on top of the tank and begun stabbing the hatch with the blade, the aluminum buckling and shredding until it opened up. Deras used the sword to heave open the hatch and jumped in, killing the rest with blade and strength. This time, Deras looked at the controls, the tank shaking from extended weapons fire, and he found the locomotion controls. Making the tank spin in place just not quickly, Deras jumped on top again, tearing the incorporated heavy bolter from the turret and started using that again. He fired at the rest of the Chaos Marines, some of them still firing at the slowly spinning tank. Then he begun running toward the next batch of targets. @Grey Knight *** "We'll find more." Araha said, almost emotionless, she saw a few more infused spheres on the ground from Ran before, she took a few, carrying Damaya on her shoulder in a fireman's carry and started running farther down the hall. The Waystop had stopped shaking, it seemed they finished bombarding the place. Good. @Sorana She turned to the other man as they ran. "The bombardment's stop, we just need to find a safer place now, and I am not leaving anyone here. We're not going to the perpendicularity." She told him, a hint of emotion almost crawling back to the surface, but she pushed it back down again. @wiritospren

"She will be, I put some of the infused spheres near her, and they're dun now." Araha replied, landing on the wall/floor as the lashings wore off. She was still infused with stormlight. The lashings wore off on the man and Damaya as well, but she caught them, putting the man down and continuing to carry Damaya. "We need to find a safe place." She said curtly, emotions dulled.

@Sorana @wiritospren@Grey Knight "Damaya!" Araha screamed, and pulled herself up as the dregs of stormlight started extinguishing themselves, her body still hurt all over, but she was determined. To do what exactly? She didn't know. She steadied herself on shaking feet, then she heard someone calling for help behind her, she turned and saw the man that was with them trapped under some wood. "No, no, no, no, no, sparks, no please..." She muttered, she didn't know what to do, instead continuing to hobble toward Damaya. She was alive, she needed to be alive. Please She whispered in her mind. "RAN, I NEED YOU!" She shouted as loud as she could, panting. - Ran heard her 'sister' call her name. Not literally, she was looking everywhere, and saw that the Waystop was penetrated and heard a small explosion inside, the Marines were dwindling in numbers, but that didn't mean the battle was already won. She flew as fast as she could back to Araha, she knew where she was by instinct. She darted to the back of the Waystop, noticing the turrets firing at something, but not seeing what. She pulled herself together, as much as she could, growing to the size of a woman and flying by some infused spheres, bringing them inside the Waystop. It was hard, but she needed to, for her 'sister.' - Ran darted inside, the spheres being let go and rolling toward the ravaged interior. Araha, gritted her teeth and caught the spheres in one hand, then she sucked in. Not all of it. Her body started healing and there was excess stormlight in reserves. She looked down at Damaya, people always said that when someone slept or died they'd look peaceful. Damaya looked like she was in pain. She is not dead. Araha shouted in her mind, some of her fear turning into defiance, and the rest of it, she drowned into the depths. She looked to Ran. "Damaya needs healing." Ran nodded. "She'll instinctively breathe in the stormlight. She'll be okay." Her reply was curt and efficient. Araha nodded. When she turned to the other man, she froze, seeing a man clad in black armor, hulking. One of them. Her fear returned. She backed away and turned sharply to Ran. Who nodded also sharply. Ran made herself as solid as possible and flew as fast as she could in that short distance toward the hulking man. The ram would do nothing but distract him, in that short timeframe, Araha dashed under the Marine's reach and touched the man underneath the wood. She used gravitation on him and lashed him 3 times, backward, enough to free him from the rubble and jet him straight through the hall as if he were falling. Araha then did the same to herself, skidding on the ground to pull the unconscious Damaya with her back down the hallway. They needed to get out of there. Ran stood in front of the man, in a ChayShan stance. *** Deras had cleared his side of the field of bodies, and looked on, there were still some platoons of Marines left, the furyspren disappeared as did the rhythm. Deras sprung to action, dashing toward the side-ways tank, jumping and ramming it, his shardblade braced flat against his shoulder. The tank toppled back correctly and Deras jumped inside the hatch, killing anything within. He jumped out again, and with all his strength, started pushing the tank, it was slow but it did budge, he needed more strength. He saw another two power fists resting somewhere around the battlefield. He ran to them, equipped them then as fast as he could, ran toward the front end of the tank. The hit turned the tank toward its allies, and Deras did it again to really line it up. Deras took off the fists and hopped inside, pressing everything on the panel. He didn't know how they worked, but he didn't need to. He jumped out when he heard it fire and took two plasma guns, his armor was shredded now save for his helmet, so he took some plating from the power armour on the fallen marines and wore those over his mangled armour, not a full set but it'll have to do for now. He ran toward the next platoon to kill more.

The plasma shot hit the necklace-helmet and melted some of it, but it stayed strong. Deras ran over to the Chaos Marine that just shot him, a pool of glowing, bubbling liquid started pooling around Deras' feet, angerspren. Several small red flame-looking things burst into existence beside Deras' head as he felt anger. Fury. Something new. Furyspren. He heard a rhythm, like drums for battle. In a moment, he trained the heavy bolter on the Chaos Marine's head point blank, and fired it, obliterating his head in a shower of blood. He picked up the plasma gun himself and started discharging it at nearby Chaos Marines, his other lighter bolter ran out of bullets, and his heavy bolter close behind. He emptied the last few heavy bolter rounds at nearby cultists and marines and threw it at them. He re-summoned Valiance and charged a few remaining marines, using the sword as cover and still firing the plasma gun around.

Araha was blown back, as the shell in front of her exploded. At that moment she only knew pain as the explosions seared much of her body, and injured much of her. She screamed and fell backward. Though there was still some dregs stormlight within her, which started re-working on her body, she looked up from where she lied, fear started surfacing. Was Damaya okay?

"That I can see, yeah." Araha responded to the man, "help as much as we can, and we can't very well take on tanks and probably an army of Chaos Marines no matter how strong our Investitures are." That truth frustrated her, but as long as she could help, she would.

Araha jogged after Damaya, her Master told her the basics of reading and writing, so if there was a spanreed and no one knew how to operate that, she'd be around. It wouldn't be a problem if it was other forms of communication. *** The thunderhawk finally arrived at the Waystop and Deras saw a battleground before him. He wasn't sure if he should help and which side, then the thunderhawk started unloading on a side, the more numerous and heavily armed side. Deras took the last of his syringes and jammed it into his neck where the artery was. The ichor-alcohol started circulating immediately, super-charging the Lifeless' regeneration. The marines of the thunderhawk were kind enough to provide him with thick armor, though not as large as those used by the marines themselves, but reasonable nonetheless. He activated his necklace-helmet and prepared himself, he didn't know how to designate targets like Devaan did, but he just needed the helmet for protection. When the thunderhawk came to a stop, Deras positioned himself and used the inertia to launch himself forward and through the sky, he summoned the shardblade, and held it in one hand, bracing it flat against his shoulder where he was about to crash, crashing into one of the Vindicators, which dented its aluminum armor and threatened to topple it over. These Chaos Marines looked human but they weren't. That was what Deras told himself, making him deadlier without hesitation. He recovered instantly from the fall, the armor preventing him from receiving any real damage and what internal damage he got was quickly repaired by the regeneration. He threw the shardblade at one of the nearby Chaos Marines at such a speed that it dented his power armour and embedded Valiance onto him, only being stopped by the aluminum in his armor. Deras started unloading the heavy bolter in his other hand, Several marines mowed down by the arm-sized caliber shells and piercing their armour. The Iron Warriors were artillery and siege specialists, great at destroying fortifications but piss-poor in close combat, but piss-poor didn't mean they were useless. A hulking marine with a Power Fist stood in front of Deras and took a stance. "Come vittle Imperial Gua--" Deras spared no moment and just gunned him down with the heavy bolter, head-to-toe. That was the first marine to react to his blitzkrieg, and now his position begun being bombarded by bolt and las. He de-summoned Valiance and grabbed the Power Fist of the man he'd just gunned down and started running, enhanced feet carrying him fast enough that most of the hail-fire missed, and what didn't miss, was either caught by the helmet, embedded into the Carapace Armour, or hit him, but he regenerated it quickly. He ran, then circled back toward the tank, skidding in his tracks before he picked up speed again. He let the heavy bolter swing on its harness and wore the power fist. He then summoned Valiance on top of the power fist while re-wielding the bolter, shooting at everything shooting at him, taking down even more marines and the less armoured cultists exploded in sprays of blood. Not all his shoots hit, mind, but there were just so much of them that it didn't really matter whether he missed. He drove the shardblade edge first into the tank, the combined strength of him, the Power Fist, and the indestructibility of the blade meant that it tore through the thick aluminum plating with ease, and into the steel underneath. The thing about aluminum was that while it negated most Investiture, it was an absurdly weak metal. The sword embedding deep into the tank, but not killing anyone inside. He let go of the heavy bolter again and started heaving the tank, using the sword as leverage, and both his power-fisted hand and regular hand and, lifting with his legs and torso as he begun to be pummeled by weapons fire, flipped the tank on its side. He begun running around again, some of his armour shredded, and threw the power fist at another Chaos Marine and picked up a fallen bolter. He let Valiance dissipate as he kept running around, firing volley after volley of small and heavy bolts alike.

Cosmic Deconstruction: Eubeal vs Ioc (non canon battle)
Cyanic replied to Cyanic's topic in The Alleyverse
Ioc moved quickly, but not quickly enough. Eubeal put up his 'Shred Barrier' Using velocity, he manipulated the wind in front of him and only in front of him, million kilometer gales raging in front and terminating at a point creating just a wall of wind, he augmented the wind wall with a few megatons of vector force going forward in a constant stream. He took care not to cause any collateral damage with this. His opponent's newfound durability was impressive, but if needed, he'd use distance to bring both of them somewhere in deepspace so he could start throwing more attacks that were lethal against higher level enemies. -
Cosmic Deconstruction: Eubeal vs Ioc (non canon battle)
Cyanic replied to Cyanic's topic in The Alleyverse
"Understandable." Eubeal nodded. Eubeal saw his opponent change forms, a usual dead ringer for an increase in power, Eubeal would answer with his own, but he was already at Stage 2, and he didn't wish to progress to Stage 3, especially not on an inhabited planet, Stage 3 was troublesome, but Stage 4 was fantastic, and Stage 4 negated the needs of Stage 3. Perhaps he could absorb a huge amount of energy and dilate time so that he was directly at 4? That was something to consider for later. For now, he let the many dozens of sand tendrils coil and shoot toward Ioc, at a speed of a few hundred kilometers per second, reaching near 10% lightspeed, the atmosphere heating the tips up and turned them into hot glass. He let himself be unbound by gravity so that he floated. Then he heated up the air around his opponent in a sphere, turning the air into plasma, quickly contracting in a large sphere around Ioc at Mach 8. The sand would probably get there first though. -
@wiritospren "No." Araha said, "even if you're a powerful allomancer, even if y'were mistborn, we have no feasible way of fighting that firepower." She grimaced, she didn't like being so helpless to the situation, but she also didn't want to charge out just to let herself get killed. The sky in the area of the dragon started getting illuminated by random beams of light and explosions. That meant that at least the dragon was on their side, or at least against those Chaos things. "Damaya, you're currently the most familiar with this place, do you know if there is a spanreed here? Or other forms of communications?"

@Grey Knight "I do not." Deras said curtly. "No need of mech, just some armor, and guns, but willing to learn if necessary."
