  1. @wiritospren Araha continued to stand in a stance, but slinked backward slowly. "Dayne." She said, not taking her eyes off the enemy. She gestured behind her toward where Damaya and Mr. Amber were. "Go with them. We can handle it here, this man's strong." She said referring to the large hemalurgic man beside her.
  2. Ioc launched some projectiles from itself and Eubeal saw them go off into the distance, then back toward both of them. Since for this battle, he liked redirecting his opponent's attacks, he did the same for this. He let the spikes tear through the suit, which wasn't his anyway, and pass through him without much incident, like a ghost or except a some small interference, and flying straight at his opponent. He did tell Ioc that he was only vulnerable to attacks that had the energy of a star, or a few of them. He shifted himself backwards with distance. "Right. It's been five linear time minutes. What do you say we get going?" He asked through the same mode of communication as before.
  3. It was good that Deras had learned the basics of fighting prior, Deras lunged forward, but retracted at the last moment, bringing his sword to bear since it was already ready. Even with how fast the man was going, Deras braced against the man and blocked his substance-coated punch with his strange sword, the structure's floor wasn't as fortunate though, as it partially splintered under the weight. The excess weight didn't really do much of anything. This put the man in the prime position to be grabbed and thrown toward the dog (@AxeliustheGreat) that just ripped the enemy's armor off. He didn't put as much force into the throw as before, as he didn't intend to harm the dog, just disengage the man. "You're surrounded." Deras called out to his first enemy, the one with the spells, he spoke in complete sentences to be as clear as possible. "You don't fear death, obviously, but if you do die, you won't be able to continue bargaining." Deras grinned, "that would be a shame, wouldn't it?" It was the first time he'd grinned like this, much of his furyspren have been doused barring one or two, and some angerspren at his feet.
  4. @Grey Knight Deras was knocked backward, but held on to his strange sword which blocked the flames. He stepped backward and grabbed the collar of the newer man, the one that was currently being pinned by the young woman by his arm. He threw the newer man at the sorcerer almost like a cannon. His blade at the ready. *** That gave her pause. Once the man-creature that she had in an armlock was thrown by the larger man, —who she now saw seemed to have hemalurgic spikes, though that wasn't important right now. He was helping them.— she took another stance, readying herself against the enemy. While she wasn't sure, he was right that she recognized the name. She didn't look back at Damaya though, and what was that about dooming the world? "Fine! But you're also lying. You're Chaos, you don't keep things from destruction, you just cause destruction!" She yelled at him. *** Deras doused some of the embers and extended a hand toward the young woman, gesturing her to wait. "Speak then. Explain your side." He said at the sorcerer in a raised voiced.
  5. @Grey Knight The shardblade caught the brunt of the impact, Deras still charging straight through. He could feel the heat, but that was it. He managed to make contact with the sorcerer, with his shoulder and shardblade. The shardblade was flat on his shoulder though, so it didn't grey the sorcerer out. *** "I SAID WE DON'T KNOW WHO THE SPARKING TRAITOR IS!" Araha shouted, still holding the man-creature's arm in a lock. It was late, she just wanted this night to be over. "HOW THE STORMS ARE WE SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHO THAT IS? DID YOU EVEN CONSIDER THAT WE DON'T KNOW WHO THE TRAITOR IS?" She was repeating herself at this point, but it was true, she really had no idea who he was talking about.
  6. Eubeal shifted backward a few feet then used force and velocity to make the fingernails stop just by him. He used force again, and compressed the fingernails together. Launching them back at his opponent at 10% the speed of light, 29979 km/s.
  7. With a growl, Deras picked himself up from the wall, furyspren flaring. He ran toward the Sorcerer, summoning his shardblade. He put the sword flat to his shoulder and tackled the Sorcerer *** @Gancho Libre Araha remembered that this was the man-creature from earlier with the axe embedded in his head. As soon as the man-creature brushed Araha's hand, she grabbed it and put the creature into an arm-lock, twisting the arm so that she was behind it. "They took me hostage and was about to kill me! How the hell is that sparking 'agreeable'?" She shouted at him.
  8. That wasn't a request he always got, but it wasn't unheard of. "That would be fine, as long as you can take the strikes. I'd prefer to not accidentally kill you." He distance 0'd a loose asteroid from somewhere, it was relatively small by asteroid standards, but it was still fairly large, almost a kilometer in length. Eubeal used a constant rotational force and some pressure to shape the asteroid into a very long lance. Then he increased heat, not enough to melt, but enough to make the asteroid glow. "Right." Eubeal said as he launched the glowing lance-asteroid at Ioc.
  9. Deras' head was knocked backward and when he retracted, he'd already re-summoned his strange sword. In a single motion, he tried to stabbed the last enemy in the head. This new man healed the enemy, but he wasn't about to let the last one get away. He activated the mindscan to determine that there were indeed no other of the enemies. This new man strangely didn't look like an enemy, and he didn't dissociate him from being human, but still. He trained his blade on the new man, his furyspren dissipating, and being replaced by regular angerspren. "Why." He asked. *** Araha saw the new man heal the bastard on the floor, which made her even angrier, only partially helped by seeing the bastard finally getting stabbed in the head. "Ran." She called out. She was angry and she didn't bother suppressing her emotions, she just needed to summon and channel that anger. Ran reluctantly put herself over Araha, becoming something of an aura as Araha took a ChayShan stance. @Gancho Libre
  10. "you okay?" "No." Araha answered Dayne. The Chaos Marines were all dead in almost an instant, she got up from where she was and walked over to where the large man was pinning the bastard on the ground, tears welled up again as small pools of angerspren started bubbling from under her. She'd been afraid, and now she was just frustrated. She started letting her frustrations out by stomping repeatedly on the bastard's uncovered head. "Enough." The other man pinning the bastard said. She didn't stop though. This was supposed to be a safe place, and beyond that, it was supposed to be over, but it wasn't, she didn't know if she could ever feel safe again. Her stomping only stopped when Ran put a hand on her shoulder. "He's beaten, Ara." She said in a calming voice. Araha stepped back, yelling in frustration, as she walked over to a wall and started banging on it, her fist started to split open, and bled. She'd been so helpless, she was frustrated and angry at herself, frustrated and angry at the bastard, and frustrated and angry that she was naive enough to think they were safe, and so her presence just caused more harm to everyone around her, even if it was just potential harm. She wanted to destroy them, to take her vengeance, but she wasn't even strong enough. "Ara, that's not the way to think." Ran spoke in the same calming voice. She couldn't hear her thoughts, but she could see the anger in her eyes, she'd seen Araha angry for several other reasons in the past, but this was the first time she'd seen her like this. Ran was afraid Araha would end up killing her. Shaking the thought off, Ran hugged Araha.
  11. DEBUT Everything happened in slow motion to Deras' copper-enhanced mind. And his furyspren sparked like a burst of thermite. The moment the woman was out of danger, he ran forward and summoned his shardblade, simultaneously ripping the bolter right out of the enemy's hands. He fired a few rounds into his head, killing him. 6 left. He hacked at the soldier closest to him with the shardblade, greying him out and turned again. 5 left. Firing at the other Chaos Marines, they were being driven back, and they returned fire. Deras was careful not to let the others get hit so he chucked the dead Chaos Marine at them, its large body catching their firing and colliding with them. He saw where the sorcerer was and greyed all four limbs in a moment, too quick to react. He charged the other Chaos Marines, trying to fire at him, as he used his shardblade to deflect the bullets, but still got some of his flesh as well as scraps of his cloak ripped off by the bolters, revealing some of his hemalurgic spikes. The regeneration was still working, and fortunately, they didn't hit anything important for locomotion this time. Deras greyed 2 more in a single sweep. 3 left. He would give them no rest. He saw one go for one of the people in the room. He stabbed the Marine in the back of the head with the sword, greying him out. 2. He activated his mindscan. No surprises. He used the bolter again and fired at the last two space marines, as he was charging them. One of them used the Power Fist to strike at Deras, but it was blocked by the blade. He punched forward, denting the Marine's armor, but also shattering some of Deras' bones in his hand. He slashed down and killed him. One more left. He'd failed his morale roll and was already running toward the exit. When he exited, the turrets ripped him to shreds. None left. Deras walked over to the Sorcerer and put a foot on his chest on the ground. "I'VE TOLD YOU TO CEASE. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS." Deras said, his voice a low growl. He put his good hand on the sorcerer's neck, but didn't squeeze. Any amount of pressure from him was liable to kill this brittle thing.
  12. Araha's eyes widened, it wasn't Damaya's name, sure, but it was similar enough. "W-" she begun, she was regaining control of herself. "We don't know who she is." Araha said, barely above a whisper. "She'd likely disguise her name, we don't know anyone named that." *** One life for another? That would not suffice. "What will you do with?" Deras asked. @Sorana @Grey Knight
  13. Deras heard the non-enemy man talking thanks to his enhanced ears. He didn't look at him though, or pay any outward attention to him. It would be unacceptable to lose a life, but cooperating with the enemy's negotiation didn't really give him much hope either, what if they didn't let the woman go? What if when they got their bargain, they'd still harm her? Deras saw a phantom beside him, one that he couldn't even sense with his mindscan. Was he really there? he stood there, in a straight, stiff stance, but Deras could feel it, the barely contained fury seething from within. He wasn't sure who this was or what this was, it was just a hallucination, that was what his tin and copper enhanced mind was telling him. He didn't pay attention to the phantom either, keeping his eyes and ears trained at the enemy who was trying to negotiate.
  14. @Sorana Araha got a bit of a grip on herself, hearing Damaya's pleas. Tears were still streaming but she opened her mouth. "D-Damaya, no..." she whispered. "Please, stay th-there..." she said as she lightly shook her head, careful not to get seared.
  15. @Grey Knight Deras didn't want to negotiate, but there was a life at stake, so he put out the embers for now and asked. "Fine. Negotiate. Name thing you want."
