I think this is an overly complicated theory; if Odium had simply wanted to leave, he could have done so after Dalinar said so, instead of warning Dalinar about what it meant he said. I think it's clear Odium wants to achieve things first. Most likely, I think he wants to kill Cultivation and further deal with Honor's splinters.

Considering you posted this in the OB Spoiler Board (need to add an [OB] tag by the way) I'm going to assume you've read Oathbringer. When Dalinar goes into the vision together with Fen for the first time, he gets the place of one of the Radiants, and it's mentioned that he's not wearing his armor (or, well, that the person he is 'playing' is not wearing his/her armor), but the Windrunner he's together with is wearing his armor, which would imply that only Windrunners and Skybreakers can fly in their armor. The other Orders can probably form their armor in mere seconds though, maybe even instantly.

(It's Nalthis, not Nathalis) I think this is an intruiging idea, though I'm not entirely sure to what degree Brandon will be willing to go there, as he intents every story to be readable without having to read anything else, so you should be able to understand Stormlight Archive without having read Warbreaker. I could see this happening if they move to Nalthis the last thing of book 5 however, and then by book 6 a few years have passed and it's just the new world now, which has (obviously) been changed so heavily by the Rosharans coming that knowledge from Warbreaker is barely relevant anyways. Another problem would be that, if Roshar is destroyed, the Surgebinders no longer have access to the Surges, as they no longer have Stormlight. On the other hand, Breath could potentially fuel that, though it will eventually run out. The only way I can see to overcome this is if my theory is correct that Surgebinding is something that is not orignally limited to Stormlight, but has been limited to that by Honor, though this would create the narrative problem that it would mean Surgebinders are no longer limited by a resource, something that Brandon has previously commented on in regards to Wheel of Time. There, he mentioned that writing someone with almost deity-like powers taught him that it was possible, but that also implies he before viewed it differently, and we know that he's created the arc for Stormlight Archive before that, as the Way of Kings was released before his Wheel of Time books. That would imply to me that he would not have considered power that is not limited by a resource (or severely limited in another way) previously, so unless he has another limitation in place it's unlikely we'll see it. For the record, we do have a WoB somewhere (sorry, I'm too lazy to look it up) that we will have scenes set on Braize in the second half.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

People you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley
Leyrann replied to Voidus's topic in The Alleyverse
If you like them without hemalurgic spikes, you might want to look a little further though. *runs away before the DA stops him* (or her if I'm in character... Am I?) -
By the way, currently it reads as if the paragraph on breath and cookies is part of the Hall of the Surges info, which it isn't. Maybe add another white space in between?

I think the only way to ensure neutrality is to have multiple people from different guilds that are equal in rank, like a council or something. The Council of Bankers?

Or we just use cookies as currency. (unspiked)

[OB] Ideas on how to eliminate the Fused problem
Leyrann replied to Gasper's topic in Stormlight Archive
That works until someone Looks Up. -
First thought I had was aluminium, but there are two problems with it: 1. It can be soulcast. This will probably be a problem for almost every currency, however. 2. Scadrial is on the brink of discovering how to extract it from bauxite, which will devalue it like crazy. Thinking more about the soulcasting concern, I don't think we can use a metal or gemstone or something like that. Paper money might work, as it will likely contain too much intricate stuff for a Soulcaster to properly imitate. Other than that, I cannot really think of anything except stormlight, which would give a big advantage to those who live on Roshar.

Welcome! We already talked on the Discord. Be suspicious when people offer you cookies, they may be spikes, and don't accidentally give away your Breath. Also, if you want to roleplay and have fun, create a character and join the Hall of the Surges.

It's because reasons, I don't know what exactly. I believe it shows up in general feeds that just show everything, or something like that. You can add it by editing the first post and then just adding it to the title.
-
That is indeed the suspicion on the forums as well, I believe. Not sure exactly, as I don't know that much about personality disorders, but at least people agree there's something wrong. And maybe it's good to just read the rest of the book, there's a lot happening on this topic during Oathbringer. Oh, and you should put [OB] before the title of the topic because it (may) contain(s) Oathbringer spoilers.

"[OB] [Elantris Spoilers] Telrii in Roshar?"
Leyrann replied to Thunderclast's topic in Stormlight Archive
Actually, I would argue, it can very well be a coincidence. How many named characters does Brandon have? Hundreds? A thousand? Surely there'll be some coincidences among them. -
Might wanna take a look at the spell checker...

Probably Renarin more than anyone else.

[OB] Where did the listeners get their shardblades?
Leyrann replied to Calvin101's topic in Stormlight Archive
Humans also had to figure that out themselves. -
Esha looks to her sphere pouch in shock. Immediately, she stops all her Lashings, except for a single Lashing upwards, using her momentum to continue moving towards the mountain, slowed down only by the resistance from the wind as the mountain draws near.

[OB] Justified racism on Roshar and elsewhere
Leyrann replied to Llarimar's topic in Stormlight Archive
I just really like English as language for writing, to the point where I use it to write rather than my native Dutch, because it has such a big vocabularly and tends to sound much less cheesy... -
On a semi-related note, a Mars day is about 25 Earth hours and is called a Sol, and is used for timekeeping with Mars rovers and the like. A Mars year, if I remember correctly, is about 475 Earth days, meaning about 460 (?) Mars days. Edit: Already got 2 reputation so I'm kind of starting to feel guilty for giving off-the-top-of-my-head numbers, here's the more accurate numbers: Mars day is about 24 hours and 39 minutes (and 35 seconds) on Earth. Mars days are divided into 24 Mars hours that are slightly longer than Earth hours. And good thing I checked now, because otherwise you'd believe incorrect information about the Mars year, as I was significantly off: A Mars year is about 687 Earth days, or 668 Sols.
