@Szeth_Pancakes directly quoting PMs is illegal. You can summarize but not quote exact wordings, which that looks like. We might be wrong about there being four elims. The non-Quinn/Books pool could be entirely village. So I think it's best to focus on those two, for the guaranteed return. Beyond saying that, I'm not inclined to whip any votes. Flyingbooks and Quinn are obliged to vote for each other, and only one other person is evil maximum. We can have a reasonable discussion and figure this out together. (Plus, I have a feeling I've been very wrong at some points in this game.)

Good instincts. :P. I'm not an elim They'd show up as an engineer

This was late in the day, after Ash was outed Silence and no one really questioned it. In retrospect, I'm getting Elim Plan to Bribe Archer vibes. AAAAAAAAAAAAH STILL SCARY THOUGH MAYBE THERE'S SECRET RULES ONLY I KNOW ABOUT Or you could have started with it, although did you claim vanilla at some point? I can't remember. Good point about the possibility of failure though. We know there's a surveyor out there because they had their vote moved that one day. Wanna tell us who you are and if you handed Flyingbooks some swag? Or shoot me a PM whisper. By the way, Mat and Szeth not being e-e is still wild to me. I guarantee, Surveyor, for all the digging you've been doing, I've been tunneling harder. :P.

Danforth is the priority target, right, because they can redirect actions and that's scary? Plus we've got a guaranteed elim exe within two cycles, whereas technically looking elsewhere has lower odds. I've said... a lot to Quinn. But I've only had one PM exchange with Flyingbooks so here's a fun convo from Night 3 y'all can analyze: Me: Do you have a spellbook and would you be willing to use it on Araris? Flyingbooks: No. Actually my plan tonight is to yeet you this NK blocking pendant. Me: Thanks! But could you send that to Ash instead? Flyingbooks: I'd rather not. I'm still a bit suspicious of them. Me: cool And then Archer proceeded not to ask any followup questions, happy to have gotten some swag

Well I was wrong! Sorry, Szeth. Mat didn't do anything last night. But that's not very informative since there was no kill. Either Quinn or Flyingbooks is Danforth. Someone want to flip a coin? If the elims have given up on kills, we can just kill them both and still have time to track down the fourth. Which now that I think of it, Szeth totally could still be. But my Mat read is stronger. I'm leaning towards Flyingbooks being the elim because of the Araris-Quinn interactions D1. This is exciting! New twists have emerged!

Howdy. I got a weekday job that starts tomorrow, so that may affect at what times and how often I post. Oops. On the plus side, y'all know I'm not the tripper now (Or am I bluffing?) 1. If you're having problems in game, use your GM PM. I think the mods would rather be promptly informed of issues and respond to them as they come, rather than try to make rules that would be subject to people making workarounds that follow the letter but not the spirit of the law. 2. To that note, Gears is generally careful with his word choice. He tries to keep his evil side in the realm of RP where it doesn't affect the game. Since he's relying heavily on an evil voice in this game, players must sort his meaningful statements from his prose if they want to get a read of his alignment. In this situation, I'll note that v!him doesn't have any special knowledge of Quinn's alignment, so his making a post that reveals her role isn't game throwing to me. Hiii. Here, I'll say something helpful: General reminder about the actions you can take: -The one related to your role -Visit the Crew’s Bunks and PM others in the room -Visit the Crew’s Mess and post an anonymous message -Go to the Aviar Holding Area and request a bird: PM creation, protection, and one that prevents tracking -Visit the hospital (doesn’t take an action, but unless you’re the doctor or trapper, it’s all you’ll be able to do)

Speaking of which, Szeth, Flyingbooks, and Quinn, if two of you could plan on going insane, that'd be really helpful. Try speaking in gibberish and spinning in circles a lot. Or check out one of the Alcatraz books from your local library and read all the footnotes, if you're feeling bold. @Azmine_king who do you plan on scanning?

*gasp* Good game, Araris. I don't see why Szeth couldn't be an elim teammate. I think the Randy CW D1 was supported by Araris to save Szeth, who was at risk. And he's got to be Danforth, so it makes sense that they'd be the last person to get caught, as he's their most valuable role. I would love to action scan Mat and Szeth tonight. At risk of being over confident, I think we can just publicly coordinate our scans and so long as we get two people scanning each of them, they shouldn't be able to block us. There's a very small chance that I'm wrong and Quinn or Flyingbooks are elims instead (EDIT: of Szeth), so maybe you two could scan each other just to be safe? I'll watch Mat.

Apologies, my answer was implied. We'll never get anywhere with a broken ship, let's keep our transportation in good working order. I believe we have enough engineers to fix the room this round without problem. Do you want to kill the doctor(s)?
-
Yeah, they changed that in the recent update. Unfortunately, I don't think the snippet of the one presented to us is long enough to be solvable anyway; best I got was it might begin with I AM BAD.. or maybe I AM WAY... Interesting that you're considering using the eliminator's sabotages to the village's advantage. I expected most villagers to immediately want to repair the damage, as the eliminators presumably saw the effect as most beneficial to them. Hey @Gears, did ya notice anything funny happen to you overnight? Hey @Quintessential, there's a person named @quinn and I keep accidentally almost pinging them. If the Tracker chose not to attack anyone this cycle, that is village alignment indicative. The elims would have been very unlucky if both of their attacks had been blocked.

Fooled me. Seriously, I assumed I'd said something and forgotten it. You seem cool, I won't vote for you
-
Interesting you think that I think you and Tani are suspicious. But you're correct that I have yet to vote. It seemed risky; if the GMs get trigger happy they might smite all the voters when they go to mod kill everyone who voted for them. I'd hate to get caught in the middle of that
-
I hate to agree with a theory Araris originated in this game, but I guess this is how it must have happened. I assumed Dannex was killed with the elim kill because that would make sense, but hey, I also expected the elims to redirect Ashbringer self protect and use their kill on him. It appears both sides got unlucky. Because Quinn sussed Araris D1 and Flyingbooks voluntarily gave me a cool item, my money is on Szeth. Jondesu says Vonne didnt submit the kill, Araris didn't either, and Flyingbooks did an item pass. Mat went insane so am I correct in thinking we're left with Quinn and Szeth who could have submitted the kill (and are Danforth)? Quinn claimed to scan Dannex, while Szeth I think has yet to report. Like, someone passed it to you?

Huh. Hey GMs, is it possible for someone to successfully submit a NK and be killed by the Shades in the same round? @Elandera Say he did mention it to you during the day. Why would someone spy on a Mat-Dannex PM? Dannex had been pretty quiet in PM's, far as I could tell. It could have been dumb luck, but I think it's more likely that you fed the info to Araris.

stop trying to ruin a good reveal with logic Dannex contacted me during the Night. And you made this post during the night, which heavily implied you'd just been PMed, that turn. Why would they have any reason to claim beforehand? Araris might have been lying about his Silver Bones, and Dannex knew about PM spying.

[Unlike most of these, the following is completely true, albeit flavored:] SNOOPS’ TRAVEL DIARY: THE FORREST OF DREAMS: DAY 45 As I crouched by PHILICO’S tent last night, preparing to catch the scoundrel stealing bread from the Camp Supply red handed, I felt a tap on my shoulder. Was it an assailant? A dreaded monster leering over me? I spun around to defend myself, and was shocked to find… FALEAST, dressed in dark clothes, clutching a silver pendant to their chest. “I have a hot tip,” they whispered. “Something’s about to go down in FADE’S tent.” I BOOKED IT OVER THERE: Moving quickly, I followed his lead to instead spy on FADE. I found him kneeling over a Spellbook of curses, drawing mists from its pages and muttering the name of his target… PROFESSOR LENN! A SHOT IN THE DARK: The upstanding academic had planned to fire his crossbow that night, but as he emerged to attack, the mists covered his eyes and his shot went wild, instead striking the PIZZA GUY. THE REALLY SLIM SHADEY: Suddenly, a gaunt, shadowy ghost burst in from the woods. Its ice-cold claws reached out to grab the nearest bystander… VONNE. “They’ve broken a Simple Rule!” FALEAST hissed, pulling us away from the carnage. “There’s nothing that can save them now.” THE RECLUSE’S CLUE: “Wait!” I begged him. “I must know, PROFESSOR LENN, how did FADE know you had the crossbow?” With his dying breath, he clenched my hand and rasped in my ear. “I only told you, FALEAST, and one other. The man who betrayed me must have been…” He paused, gathering the last of his strength. “The one who told FADE had to have been… PHILICO.” TO BE CONTINUED. -Sally 'Snoops' Starlingo * OOC TL;DR: According to my scan of them, Araris is lying about their activity last Night. They actually used a Spellbook, presumably to redirect Dannex’s crossbow attack. Only myself (Professor Dyer), Ashbringer (Silence), and Mat, knew who wielded the crossbow, so to block it, Araris must have been told by his teammate Mat who to redirect. The shot hit Pizza instead. Vonne fell to the Shades, but according to Jondesu didn’t submit the kill. That was done by the fourth teammate, who targeted Dannex. Or possibly Mat, but I think their being insane means the kill wouldn't have gone through, I'm not sure how that works. Oh, and Flyingbooks passed me an item last night, which was downright neighborly of them.

Speaking of which, did you tell anyone else he had the crossbow? He told me he was a scribe in our PM, which explains his earlier question about what the role was good for. He also mentioned having a crossbow he planned to shoot Araris with. No one else claimed to have one to me. Sorry you died, everyone. Especially Vonne, who I hadn't suspected. We'll need to ISO them at some point.

I'm Team Neutral all the way. You seem very intent on getting an answer to your random question, Tani. Are you hoping to catch an elim who admits they'd theoretically prefer their own team wins in such a scenario? I have another question: where is this ship going?
-
I think you need to break out the percentile dice for that one. Jondesu is definitely *rolls* 82

That feel when you realize people are older than you thought... It makes sense for e!Araris to submit the kill, so if anyone has a spellbook, this is probably the best opportunity we have to redirect the NK.

I genuinely just panicked and checked your display name history. Thought you might have switched from ILLWEI to LLLWEI just to mess with me

I’ve decided I jinxed myself in the last airship game by trying to play a lucky character. This time, I’m embracing the completely opposite approach and will hopefully survive longer for it. First of the Red Dawn was late for work. Again. He held his canoe steady, waiting for the fishing boat ahead of him to pick of the pace so he could get to the mainland. “There isn’t even lanes in the ocean. Why do you keep getting in my way??” The captain of the vessel waved cheerfully at him. “Steady as she goes, son. There’s a right interesting fish a-head of us, just taking a wee break to admire her.” * There’s a lot of rules, but most of them can be ignored until they become relevant. I’m interpreting the eliminators’ strange win-condition, needing to eliminate ALL of the villagers, as being intended to give the neutral opportunities to affect the outcome. Even if the elims have a majority, the neutral may side with the village to give them control of the exe. Additionally, it gives the neutral more cycles to make improvements. This game isn’t over until it’s over. As far as I can tell, the hospital doc is not anonymous. That leaves the doctor, who can undo the NK, vulnerable to being identified and attacked. But as we saw last game, it’s a NAI role. If you’re not visiting the hospital, please try to say something in thread so we don’t mistake inactivity for hospital visiting. And if you are in the hospital, please talk! It’s no fun visiting and finding no one wants to chat in the doc. The Trapper’s packing some heat. The ability to attack on player per round is powerful. I suspect there’s only one of them, or there’s multiple doctors. The Trapper is almost certainly village, and will also be a high priority target. If everyone shoots at once, we can have as many as four attacks in a single cycle, so expect things to get crazy at some point. The Messenger role allows communication with the spectator doc, so until an elim is killed and the GMs have to decide how to deal with the competing goals of the dead who want to send messages, that should be a valuable source of information for the crew/elims who will get to laugh at their efforts. A bunch of confirmed villagers sharing their notes is a powerful force to be reckoned with. I can’t imagine there’s less than four elims. This feels like a role madness game, but it would be weird to have one of each of the nine roles and then seven more engineers. There’s probably four or five of them, and then double of three other roles. That's an absolutely TJ thing to say. Until you mentioned it, I hadn't realized you'd dropped Shade from you name. My brain played the same trick with Quinn's name change, I totally forgot she had numbers originally. If Mat ever dropped the Dice part of his name, I swear it wouldn't even register. Life is wild
