Yes, explained last round, but they were all wrong well that makes sense Narrator: But it did not make sense I remember somebody said someone PMed everyone left in a game and told them all they'd scanned them as an elim, and the elim gave up. Might have been Joe? (Somebody please ask me who Joe is, I dare you.) Nah, my stance earlier was based on me thinking the elims lost their vial and were trying to show they still had two but were really using a vial doubler. Now that I know they keep the vial, it makes no sense they'd submit exactly two kills in a situation where Bort is evil. And again, no one is pulling up anything Bort has said, which is the kind of nonconfrontational exe elims love. I'm writing off Kas' vote, but you've got to see that JNV's looks sus, and Drake still hasn't explained their reasons. I don't know why you're considering voting for me, but you're one of two trusts I've got right now. Are you still willing to do Biplet? Stick @Sequence wanna join the sheep Mat's-reads-before-they-derailed club?

Because he was suspicious I mentioned I added six N2. I @ed Ashbringer about it to help with the action tracking. I get where you're coming from, and it makes sense to keep quiet and watch who they vote for before making your reveal. But it's an SE meta thing to sometimes legitimately approach the elims so they have a chance to write death RP. Or to give them a chance to claim the scan was redirected or that they're a neutral. Eight times out of ten, its a gambit, but it's a thing people have done. (Someone who has played more than me, is that right?) Anyway, if you look at the last three games, all of the scan claims have been about elim checks, the thinking being that causes much more of a reaction than village confirmations. I'm in the camp that believes those get more done. That next bit embodies what I don't like about the Bort exe. It boils down to us reacting to the NKs, which are controlled by the elims. I don't think the case would have existed to kill Bort if they had just held off on the NKs again. If they do that, the odds are better that the elims held off on the NK than they submitted it and it was blocked. I haven't anything else by Bort that has made me think he's evil, so I'm thinking the elims took the opportunity to set up a mix and are pushing it based on a narrow theory. You'd have to convince me that Ashbringer and Aman were such high priority targets that it made endangering e!Bort worth it for me to buy into this. Otherwise, it looks like a good excuse to mix a guy who hasn't voted in a way that's clean because there's nothing for him to defend against in a nuanced manner. What do you mean by "And discrediting confirmed villagers"? I didn't sus a dead person again, did I Why.

I see your reads list and raise you one kill list: Shelving: Steeldancer (studying fake biology), TJ (also busy), Karn (playing D&D with his wife… life goals), Szeth (said they were swamped in the MR) Not Evil: Sequence (recent exchange), Mat (positive vibes), Kas (theef) Leaning Good: -JNV: positive impression -Biplet: reasonable response to my vote earlier -Bort: I had thought the two kills were to demonstrate the elims’ ability to double kill so Bort would be cleared, but it actually now looks like the opposite. If they wanted to disguise an RB, they’d lean into the mass extinction theory and hold off on the kills. Hasn’t Voted: Stink, Orlok, Illwei*, Haelbarde Leaning Evil: -Drake: gambit execution didn’t feel right. Suspects from it are the two people who ruined it, which is a bit of a cop out. But I don't want to vote him because. what if I'm the bad guy. Sooo: Araris, Fifth, Stick, Tani is my shortlist. Possibly minus Fifth because they haven't been around today. Stick, did you know that you're the only person who has been on both successful mix wagons? Araris, Tani, why don't I have a read on you yet?

That was a surprisingly productive 15 minutes! Smh you're doing a terrible job of distancing Araris, although I'm not sure why he kept it going after I went hmmmmmmmmmmmmm at him I also just realized the meme thing might have limited their ability to write their thoughts, so @DrakeMarshall, wanna PM me when you're less dead? Well now I don't know who to vote for

No, I responded with a request to know who he scanned C1, then read the thread and came to the conclusion it was a trick. Combination of previous assumption of there being only one Investigator + too much of a coincidence Illwei would be approached at the same time = high confidence. That seems excessive. Green scans annoy people less + bring exhaustive when they had to know it had a short lifespan + = performative I agree, but he hasn't told us if he found any villagers. Just an elim suspicion Edit: hey Sequence, how'd you react to the Drake PM? Did you receive one?

I don't know if anyone's noticed, but I have no idea what I'm doing :P. Bort This post came a minute after Striker pinged them. That's lurker elim behavior if I've ever seen it organic chemistry is just fake biology gun! yeah, go ahead I doubt there’s two Investigators, unless one is an elim. They could just route info through the neutral to be announced, which result in one scan being NKed and the other surviving. Having more scans than kills* narrows the field very quickly, and that’s before they hit an elim. *barring the elims having a bunch of kill manip vials on hand, which we haven’t seen evidence of I was not given a heads up, and was working through confirming its validity in case it was real. But it was far too coincidental that Illwei and I would have received claims from scanners within ten minutes of each other. Once Illwei mentioned it, the gambit was exposed to anyone who read the thread (including me). Mentioning Drake by name was my way of confirming my assumption. I could have PMed them directly, but there wasn’t any need because I figured everyone would read Illwei’s claim and make the same inference. Especially given the forum’s recent experience with fake scans. I’m a little surprised Illwei brought it up immediately, but I’m probably more surprised Drake ended the experiment by voting them for it. You have to claim to have red scanned someone to catch elims from their reactions. Green scans only catch villagers, giving you trust reads. Elims will just take it in stride, because they know its fake. So would the Investigator, although part of me worries they’d come back with ‘hello, fellow Investigator’ or ‘I know you’re lying’ and have such a unique reaction that they give themselves up. I’d love to hear a debrief from Drake with what they found. Otherwise, this was just a stunt of the kind certain elims will do for cred. wait ignore all that, I misunderstood what you meant. You think the reasonable assumption is to believe the claim and then see Illwei's claim and think it's likely enough that it came from a separate Investigator who also approached them around the same time to want to keep both identities secret so they can keep doing their hard work. I never considered that. Basically for the reasons stated above, so stop ignoring that paragraph. I just missed why you were suspicious of me. This is the fourth game in a row with a fake scan gambit, I've pretty much stopped believing them, especially if it requires believing in a big coincidence :P.

oi mate, Drake said they scanned me as village, quit stealing my thunder What changed between yesterday and today that made them decide to cancel their hoarding plans to get rid of some low info players? Three kills or more would have cleared them, I'm suspicious of why they went for two here

For a minute I was worried they were killing in alphabetical order. Aman is what I'd call a low info hit, Ashbringer's posts might be worth checking. I can't remember who they were voting for. Would someone else like to take the Attractor today? I'm having vial FOMO. Bort , kinda looks like the elims used a doubler vial to disguise the fact the lost the kill you submitted. Thoughts?

I don't get that bit, why would side trains be a bad specifically because of that context? When you get to be as experienced a player as me, the IM sends you helpful tips about the game to make you look smarter. My observations are totally all based on those, not misreading things. :3 Everyone wrote their reasons in white text, as is standard practice. They're all there in full detail and I think you should spend a lot more time looking for them. :). (For the new players like Illwei, please note that this is a joke.) I think you overestimate how long I've been playing this game. :P. There are no good options for defending myself here. Either I claim to be the better player but I made a mistake, or I have to compliment Tani's skills in comparison. Well played! As I understood it, the retraction happened pretty quickly. I figured it was possible his teammates made comments that assumed he would know he can't edit stuff out, but he took them the wrong way. I was equally compelled by his fast self-pres vote on Steeldancer, by the way. Someone voted him then he immediately jumped on Steel, which felt like what an elim without a good sense of SE timing would do.

Ivory Tarvis, Head Carpenter of The Survivor, hadn’t o-pined much during the meeting. They sat at the back of the room, wearing a t-shirt that read ‘What Wood Grandpa Tarvis Do?’, lounging in a ced-armchair “Yo boss! Em-bosssss. Can I ash a question?” “There’s no need to be so chipper. And no.” “May I, pleasssse. MayIpleasemayIpleasemapleleavessssss?” “Aren’t you supposed to be making a wittle something to spruce this space up?” “Oof. I’m weeping, Willow. You know there’s no wood aboard.” “I look forward to the date when you fig-ure out my real name.” “Sorry, I keep fir-getting it. I’ll make a note to stick it in my head with some Elm-er’s glue later.” Not Willow face-palm-ed, turning their attention to reviewing the ship’s logs. “Oaky, I’m tired of this. Go away, we’re in the middle of an eme…ever-” “Are you trying to make evergreen sound like emergency?” “You bamboozle me.” “That’s not even a type of-” “GO.” Ivory muttered something under their breath about the Captain’s poplar-ity. “I HEARD THAT.” “Chill-sel. I said beech.” * I'm not at all upset that Ashbringer didn't give me a nickname. It's fine. I'm not crying, you're crying It’s weird that no one on the winning wagon D1 also killed on D2. Least of all because the elims get a shot at the dead person’s item if they’re on the train. I’d guess D1 they didn’t care as much though because the piñata hadn’t been bashed yet. Biplet ISO: “The shock of two new messages being two identical votes on Bort threw me off so bad XD I just finished an essay. Anyway, hello Bort! We've never met I don't think. And hello to you JNV while I'm thinking about it. I don't think we've met either. Am I missing anyone else I don't know? There's... a lot of players here. Thought TUO was a new player bc of the name change for a sec... oops" - Biplet Looks like Bip overreacted to the two naked votes on Bort then covered with ‘hello person I have never met before wink wink’. They then say they’re against killing Tani and Fifth. Then they go and vote for Tani for being a chaos demon. Why the inconsistency? “Gonna be real honest with y’all I thought I made a post. Brain is scrampled egg.” – Biplet TFW you talk in the elim doc and forget about the thread. “I'm willing to vote on them or Steel, since pressure seems to be mounting on Steel now, and I don't think it's a good idea to throw out a side train when it looks like elims are building up for a mega-kill.” -Biplet Didn’t you just, with Tani, on the, with the, Day One? “Anyway, Thaid it is for now. I think the "oh I completely forgot I was stolen from" bit feels like a new player trying to give themself village cred. I don't agree with Archer's reason for voting on Thaid tho. The role slip is NAI. Willing to join on Archer should more reasoning be presented. I'm close to the tipping point between the two.” I actually agree with that, but it was a village kill anyway. But why would you be willing to vote me and Thaid? We were opposed to each other. Drake sidebar: because he makes a good point, I shouldn’t clear for format. Thaid vote was for forgetting they were robbed, which appears to have been a common reason. Probably not e-e with Steel, based on the pressure they applied. I’d love to see how they react to pressure in meme format so maybe that’s something to come back to later. Hey Stick! “hmm yes I am now destressed for some mysterious reason” -Stick :(. “TJ - I PM'd him straight up accusing him of being elim (a joke, obviously - I'd done this before in lg74 as well, where I was village). He responded saying that I can't use the same move from my village game to get village cred in this one. It's not anything huge, but I feel like an elim would've gone on the defensive here instead of the offensive, even if it was merely a joke. I also do not think TJ would go for the arsonist plan.” -Stick I have thoughts. And I can’t. Talkaboutthemarrrrgh. “edit: re:the Bort RB thing - if we get roleblocked, do we still get to use the vials in another turn or do they just get wasted? Not tagging Striker because this might've been already answered but I'm too tired to go look” -Stick This reads like ‘I’ve asked this in the elim doc already and want village cred for asking again but I fele bad pinging the GM over it’. Re: Bort Village read for asking questions in thread that could have been covered in the doc. Araris: Hard elim read for using math. Not going to elaborate because that’s all the information I need. Definitely not because I’ve run out of time

Welcome, new player! Have you got much experience playing forum mafia? Apology accepted. It was Day Two where I explicitly sheeped. :P. Totally different. Speaking of that first vote, might be circling back to Biplet tommorow. I'm good, Kas is not bad, Drake is memey, so the three remaining votes on Thaid are a lovely short list. Except they did help me not die, so I gotta figure that out. By the way, sorry about that, Thaid. Thanks for not killing me, everyone. More thinking to come tomorrow. People who took stuff, why! People who didn't, why?!?!

My theory is that Thaid made the claim, someone in the doc said "hey, maybe don't claim your role publicly :P", and he panicked and edited it out. That lightning fast self pres is the best lead I got right now, so I'm sticking with it. I'm conflicted on whether the elims would go for the vial saving route, based on my personal feelings about the effect it has on the game. So I'm willing to believe Bort was the one to submit, but I'd hesitate to actually exe them over it. That's all I got time for, today is busy. Sorry.

Mysterious! I'll be honest, I started today having no idea why people were voting you, but the slip thing seems valid. I haven't actually gotten around to reading C1 properly, I've been Sharding on my essay breaks. Anyway, TJ set up a situation that guessed you were evil and I was defending you, so it'd make more sense for him to vote you first to check his hypothesis.

Are you basing your guess on the action you submitted doing something differently than you expected? That's a funny way of spelling Steeldancer :P. I'll throw this logic back at you. You were on the wagon that killed v!TUA, which could have been protecting any of the other candidates.

You can just say it was a roleblock and get this over with :P. @ people who grabbed things, why did you grab the item you did? That discussion should have been had last Night, but let's get to it now. JNV sussing TUA after they've died is more villagey than elimy, unless the elims absolutely didn't care about the vote. I agree with them on Thaid and Kas too. Anyone been robbed yet? I'm trying to make a Cowboy E!Bop joke about Biplet but I can't shoehorn it in anywhere. Pretend I did. I remain confident that the elims are more likely to have grabbed things than villagers, so Araris' shortlist works for me. Mat should be on it because they tried to vote, but I'm village reading them anyway. Thaid trying to hide their role after they accidentally revealed it makes me think they have elim teammates telling them to hide their secrets Steel

I have thoughts about the lack of kill, but I can't talk about them. For reasons. @Ashbringer I added exactly six items to the Supply. I'm just gonna rinse and repeat since another fabulousrial was added. Mat had a good observation about elims probably not missing the D1 pinata, so he has earned one sheep. Steel

Very serious Drake ISO: Post 1: Image of man in pajamas with the text 'Hello there'. Appears to be a greeting. Possible suggestion that they overslept, which would explain their late entry into the round. Post 2: Image of man scheming, with a punchline about their reluctance to read the thread. Possibly illiterate, which would explain why they have yet to use many words. Image of man fanning himself with a deck of cards, having taken 25. Possible warning that they will take all 25 items in the Stockpile today. Image with another punchline about reading. Possible book hater, should be watched carefully. Post 3: Image with a man complaining about his lack of Steel. Obvious lie, Steel has posted multiple times already. Some kind of rectangles. Likely math related, avoid at all costs. Image of frog drinking tea. Possible admission to being cold blooded. More math. Ew. Post 4: Woman saying 'boo'. Or is it? Perhaps the full text, 'books are for nerds and I hate them', was cut off. Fantasy elf in a cockpit talking about fun. Can't argue with elves. Post 5: Image of Iggy Montana pointing a sword. They finally found Steel! I'm happy for them. * Biplet

Alright, I see where this is headed. I'm convinced Aman is evil. Ashbringer and Orlock are my second tier. Then it's pretty much everyone else voting for me. Illwei seems trustworthy. Kas I'm hoping is playing the long game and will Riot away his vote, but if he doesn't, check back on them at some point. Experience is village, but I forget why. Yup. I can resurrect one person. That's it, that's the big reveal. Sorry if it doesn't match what you were expecting, I don't actually have control over the distribution of the game.

Correct, the better way forward is to not kill me. I think I'm partial to the elims can either NK or conceal the exe alignment, and they've enjoyed trolling us/establishing a baseline to hide a previous elim flip. I assumed the weirdness about it being an action was related to the flexible nature of the question period. I'm submitting these between rollovers, which is fairly unique. But not that unique. Mat had a complicated ability too, and Illwei apparently. PAFO :P. this still makes me laugh looks like a free alignment scan to me
