[OB] The Group that Showed up with Jasnah
JoyBlu replied to Isaiah Zayth's topic in Stormlight Archive
I was so happy when I figured that out too! It now comes up automatically on my phone after the first 2 letters. I also noticed that the first word to pop up now when I type the letter “V” is “voidbringers”. Even my phone is becoming a cosmereanaut. -
I think Jasnah expected to die. I think she expected her entire family to die. That is why she hired an assasin to protect her and her family. Sounds like you have good parents. My son has never been as on-top of his school assignments as he is this week. Use it as motivation! (Also, I bet you could go to your local library and ask them to order it. Maybe you could get first on a waiting list) My kids schools will always order in books that students request and are excited for. You could talk to your school librarian — you might be pleasantly surprised at the results.
-
Impressive. The only thing I can even guess you are missing besides OB is the new “cute” Edgedancer novella. Must be on your wish list. “Everything I have in my collection — you have too”. — imagine that being said to the tune of Jack Black in the movie Nacho Libre — But you have lots more than me. I love it that you have so many of the early editions the RAFO card is awesome too! I want one of those

What??? He’s not reading it to you over the phone???? ok, I forgive you for spending time posting since you don’t actually have the book currently in your possession. I bet it’s awesome reading a book to gather with your friend. That’s what I have loved about the slow release of these chapters. My friends in real life can’t read ahead of me! We have an entire week to discuss it. My teenage son has a “Sanderson Shelf” in his bedroom that I’ve seen him take pictures of to send to his friends. (After Christmas last year when we finished his Cosmere Hard Copy Collection — looks like you have the same collection.) He is so protective of those books that I had to go buy my own dang copies. (He wouldn’t let me write / take notes in them) I keep them under my bed because when I can’t sleep at night I grab them to read. An interlude here or there is a great bedtime story. No pretty shelf for me. @Marethyu316 good point on OB looking smaller. I wonder why too.
-
@Rider of Storms @RandyD Congrats on finding the book! Was it in the US? and what is the book doing on your shelf???? and why are you spending time on the computer??? if I were you — I would be reading! but thanks for sharing your story. I was out running errands today and went out of my way to look for it — but no luck. It’s better I spend my time getting my life in order so I can disappear and read next week. Seriously — I’ve already told my kids that they are not allowed to get sick or injured next week or need anything. I’ve arranged carpools so I don’t have to drive, rescheduled orthodontist appointments, and made sure to see the high-school plays this week instead of next week, and have most the grocery shopping done and the meals planned for next week. (I don’t have the luxury of taking time off work. Mom is a 24/7/365 demanding job) This thread has cracked me up. Thanks for the laughs!

[OB] Has Dalinar's Highstorm Meeting happened?
JoyBlu replied to Entyti's topic in Stormlight Archive
That is exactly what I was thinking. -
Another option would be an inhabitant from the Drominad system could have found the perpendicularity by him/herself and left the planet with several birds -- or even the grubs the birds feed on. There could be a world hopper from Drominad. It says that world hoppers that have gone to the planet have not returned -- but nothing about people leaving the planet on their own. And another idea I had (I've been thinking about this way too much) is I wonder if the birds could accidentally enter the perpendicularity on their own and there could be a bird catcher waiting for them on the other side that catches them and then puts them to use. That way a world hopper wouldn't have to actually enter the world.
-
I guess I was more wondering if humans themselves were descendants of Tanavast & the woman who holds the Cultivation Shard. If that was how humans came to Roshar. Then most of the humans on Roshar would be their descendants. (unless a world-hopper decided to stay on the planet and have kids)
-
Because this was during the highstorm, we are not really sure how much stormlight it took to fuel this power. I wonder if Kaladin could carry enough gems to fuel this outside a storm. I'm guessing no. That means that if something needs to be accomplished that requires a lot of stormlight -- it best be done during a highstorm. So I don't think we will be lucky enough to see this again for awhile because of the sheer amount of stormlight it required.
-
How did I miss that? Thanks!!! That is a pretty unique name. I'll edit to show. and thanks to @Agent34, @Mulk, and @frozndevl for being so fast with an answer. I appreciate you guys setting me straight.

Chapter 31: Demands of the Storm City of Revolar / Re-Shephir : They both start with Re. I'm wondering if there is any connection. Favorite Quote from this chapter! (Is this a reference to something? if it is, I missed it, but I love the quote nonetheless) I love the 17th shard! I mean,we just discussed all of these views of morality this week. I now have a great foundation of various views on morality that I totally applied when I read this. Thanks sharders for preparing me to read this chapter! I love it that these views are spelled out so succinctly. OK: so I need a quick Parshmen refresher: If I am wrong about any of these guys let me know. I'm just trying to keep them straight. I'm pretty sure we will run into them again. Khen: Woman Parshmen leader Sah: Man Parshman Vai: Sah's daughter Yixli: {EDIT} Yixli is this group's yellow-white spren. anyone else notice that the red-eyed parshmen were described as both red-eyed parshmen and red-eyed Parshendi? The term was used interchangeably. Syl can talk in Kaladin's mind now? When did this happen. She always had to whisper in order to hide from the yellow spren before. She talked in his mind several times in this chapter. SON OF HONOR / SON OF TANAVAST: This has probably been debated before -- but is Kaladin a literal offspring of Tanavast & the holder of Cultivation or does the StormFather just call him that because he has taken the Oaths of Honor that Tanavast held highly? I feel that way everyday Kaladin. It is never enough. The talk of the violet glow and black-ish violet glow remind me of Venli and of the violet moon. It also reminds me of the stone Gavilar had that is now lost with Hoid's flute. I suppose that since Luke's lightsaber was recovered that the stone and the flute will show up sometime. Color & Spren Observations for Chapter 31 spoiled/hidden for length Chapter 32: Company Please let this be Dalinar. After all the hypocrite comments; and the dark past that I am sure we will see worse than we have already seen, I really want Dalinar to be a changed man. Fish -- to those who were debating last week Dalinar's metaphor of a fish -- yes, it is confirmed that there are fish on Roshar. And they live in water. And that is all we really know. They could be our versions of tadpoles or frogs or something. Midnight Mother = Re-Shephir is confirmed as well. Thanks Mr Sanderson for tiding this up so tightly. I still wonder where the name Re-Shephir comes from. Sounds similar to Sylphrena to me. I'm assuming Adolin was worried if Shallan had been drinking Horneater White again and was hungover. Is this foreshadowing for an alcohol addiction for Shallan? JASNAH! Hello. I'm so excited to see you! I've missed you and I'm glad you didn't really die because we need you to figure out the mysteries of Urithiru. How did you ever find the place? Did you walk all the way to Urithiru? Is Hoid with you? How sweet of you to visit Shallan. Do you know that Dalinar and Navani are married? What do you think Evi would say about that? Do you want to go visit the library? Are you going to tell us about where you have been? What have you learned? Are you and Shallan going to be BFF's? Because Shallan is an adult now. She is not the same ward that you were murdered in front of. Looking forward to your POV! See you on Monday night (Tuesday Eastern time) at the signing!!!! My initial thought was the moon, but after reading all the comments, I’m going with Shardpool for world-hopping. I just finished reading all 22 pages of comments. (Took me an entire week) but I just loved what everyone had to say. Such thoughtful remarks that really opened my eyes, and in a few instances my heart too. Thanks for all the comments. Here a responses to a few that I had quoted. I ran out of upvotes every single day. I don’t think there was a concensus on this. I loved this idea — along with the regrowth comments that followed it. If Renarian could bring the books “back to life” that would be awesome. Once Jasnah gets to Urithiru she will be able to see this place. I want Jasnah’s POV of the library. I also wonder if there are any inscriptions on those steel metal doors. What????? The green chicken is an Aviar? As from the Sixth of Dusk??? I guess that would make sense. When I told this to my son, he shrugged and said, I doubt it because it’s practically impossible to world hop from the Drominad system. If it is an Aviar then what is it’s ability? I’ll be watching that green chicken. I never saw a direct quote from Elantris of the mural. I don’t own the kindle edition of Elantris so it’s hard to find. Does anyone else have a page number of the mural description? What a twist that would be! Amaram openly apologizing — publicly — to Kaladin. Then Dalinar would accept Amaram and Kaladin would have more reason to be depressed. But it would set the stage for Oathbringer the sword to revive the spren that originally created it. I was thinking the same thing . . . . Both Dalinar & Taravangian “bare the night - watchers touch”. But yes — would be fascinating. @Fifth of Daybreak you made me laugh! I think you should grow all your scruff out and dress up as Kaladin when he hadn’t shaved and met his parents & Laral for the first time in years. It was specificity stated that they were steel and Adolin used his shardblade to open them. (But if they had some type of inscription on them) (or if they had aluminum centers and were only coated in steel). Ha ha ha! Hadn’t thought of that before. So i read every single post, including the hidden definitions and I have to say it was enlightening to read all the respectful viewpoints. So often with my friends in real life we “agree to disagree” and don’t delve into deep discussions. I was raised in a religious home and I am now raising my family in the same religion because I love it and believe it fervently . However a few years ago my brother left our religion and lives a very different life than the rest of us. The balance between religion/morality/legality has been on my mind and I feel that I gained much understanding in reading all the posts. As a member of the same Christian church as Brandon Sanderson, I especially like that it was pointed out that the Cosmere takes place on planets other than earth, and that Christians believe that Jesus Christ was central to the “plan” for the earth and its inhabitants. I often find parallels in his writing with gospel principles and this adds a new layer to think about when referencing my religion when I’m reading his books. So I love to read the books —my son & I devour them, my daughter reads them just so she can discuss them with us, my husband tolerates the books and only listens to them. We have pre-ordered all 3 versions of Oathbringer (audible, kindle, print). We got a Nov email from Audible a few days ago and it had the heading “The November books we’re most excited about”. I looked to see if Oathbringer was on the email list and it was not. I was kinda bummed. But then I saw your post and it made me happy! Yay for Oathbringer! I’ll take it! Bring on the oatmeal & green smoothies! Interesting thought about Syl & Glys & Pattern not being on the same side as SF. Something to think about indeed. I just assumed he was on a different level or much more mature than they were. So I know that Dalinar has always lusted after Navani. But I really wonder if he started loving Evi at one point. I really want to believe that he did. But as he realizes this — he will remember not so good things about Navani. If I recall correctly — Navani said to Dalinar that she believed Dalinar truly loved Evi. Truly insightful. A very helpful discussion for me to follow. I recommended WoK to a close friend. — mostly because i wanted to discuss WoR with her. She thought WoK was a well written book but Kaladin reminded her too much of herself — the depressed part of herself that she didn’t want to be reminded of so she made the “healthy” for her decision not to keep reading about Kaladin. (And she hasn’t read WoR). As I discuss these characters with my real life family & friends, and as I listen to how you guys see the character development, I really do grow as a person. Thanks again to everyone for sharing their thoughts! And to Mr Brandon Sanderson for writing such intriguing, multi-dimensional characters with interesting lives & circumstances.
-
Interesting! Thanks. I guess when I read that “mysteriously dark eyes” I interpreted it as dark mascara and dark eyeliner — and possibly a large pupil — rather than a description of a iris. The “dark eyes” or “Smokey eyes” make-up technique is used on people with all different shades of actual eye color. I don’t believe we have a WoB on Siri or Vivenna’s eye color. I’ll ask him at the signing. Hopefully he will answer.
-
I’ve been rereading war breaker watching for eye color. Do you happen to have a page number or chapter as to where Siri’s dark eyes were mentioned?

[OB] There's something royal 'bout them locks...
JoyBlu replied to CosmereQuestioner's topic in Stormlight Archive
Dalinar remembered. Her name had been Evi. She’d been tall and willowy, with pale yellow hair—not true golden, like the hair of the Iriali, but striking in its own right. --OB Chapter 24 Evi's hair is yellow; not quite golden. I find it interesting that her hair is one of the 1st things Dalinar remembers about her. Is she dead? Or mostly dead? See, mostly dead is still slightly alive. and from warbreaker (spoilers) So Siri & Vivenna both share the same hair. Just something to think about. While Having Vivenna and Evi both be the same person is kinda outrageous, I don't see anything that disqualifies it, and it would be fun. (unless Dalinar kills her) I want to know Vivenna's eye color. I'm pretty sure Warbreaker doesn't say what it is. Who says it isn't changed if a world hopped comes to Roshar? -
I'm jumping in again because I want to toss my notes -- but still have a record of my thoughts/reactions. Super selfish of me, I know. I haven't read anything in this thread yet -- but hope too when I catch up on this current weeks thread. Chapter 22: Darkness Within Mraize! I used to be afraid of you. You have a chicken on your shoulder. Now I think you are funny. Why is your chicken green? Is it because you are in Sadeas's camp? I'm beginning to think that you might be one of the good-guys that actually wants to help Roshar and its inhabitants. Halberd = What the heck is a halberd? @The Invested Beard is this something you know about? I mean you both have berd/beard in your name. You just gotta know. halberd = a combined spear & battle ax (since I didn't actually post this right away I looked it up myself) ok -- so we are using lamps. Zero, zilch, nada infused spheres I guess that question is truthful enough. Wasn't expecting mother memories from Adolin, but I will take every tidbit I can about Evi. What is the pattern with the patterns on the strata? OK -- So it is confirmed that Ialai is not a ghostblood. So what is it that Mraize knows about the Davar brothers? Perhaps he will tell her who really killed Helaran? Meridas Amaram??? I knew he would show up again. Leading the investigation eh? This is getting very interesting. Color & Spren Observations for Chapter 22 spoiled/hidden for length Chapter 23: Storming Strange Kaladin is looking after the entire world -- or so it seems. He does well at watching out for others. Khen (the woman) Hesn gotta remember those people/names Color & Spren Observations for Chapter 22 spoiled/hidden for length Chapter 24: Men of Blood & Sorrow Yes -- that was a typo. Dalinar only remembered once. Looks like Tor fixed it online now. Evi -- I'm so sad that there is not any love between the two of them. I'm hoping that they will grow to love eachother. Attraction is good -- but not enough. Dalinar -- you may not know; or want to know -- but I want to know for certain what happen with you and Evi! Bracer clocks -- those seem interesting -- are they interfering with Dalinar somehow? (Mistborn Spoiler; Era 1) What is the other device Navani is talking about ? How did they find Malata? Strange Illness -- 5 years ago. Is that when he went to the Nightwatcher and became super intelligent? I'm unsure on the timing of this. That means it was after Gavilar's death. Fav Quote: There is a lot of physical desire for Navani. Is this to contrast his lack of desire for Evi? What are Marati barbarians? OK -- so this last part wasn't in my notes.I only noticed it because I've read chapter 26 since I wrote these chapter notes. I don't remember reading much about Evi on that flashback -- other than that he was supposed to marry her and that he got prayers from both Evi & Navani. Will there be another chapter that covers that same day? Maybe after the battle? Color & Spren Observations for Chapter 23 spoiled/hidden for length

So, I am super late to the game. I took notes when I read these chapters but didn't ever find the time to type them up the week they were released. I want to toss the notes, but I just can't. At least until I post them. So here it goes. This is for me more than anyone else (So I can go back and see if my predictions came to pass) and I didn't read anything on the shard the week of these chapters so they are probably redundant. Chapter 16: Wrapped Three Times Why didn't this room have strata? And how does the strata look once stormlight hits it? I really need to take the time to understand this whole Adonalsium stuff better Dalinar's relationship with the StormFather seems to be getting more causal and comfortable. Favorite Quote from this chapter: Evi! Her name is Evi! How is that pronounced? EEE-VEEE, Eh-VEEE, EE-VIIII? Hello Zahel! I want to see more of you! Are you saying that marriage will not be Trivial? I think it will be a big deal. Kadash -- I want to hear more of these events you speak of Gemheart = Is this a term of endearment? There is that word again: Heretic. (chapter 4 Oathbringer prologue writings) Color & Spren Observations for Chapter 16 spoiled/hidden for length Chapter 17: Trapped in Shadows No leader = I can help you! long shadows plunging into darkness Champion will not be Dalinar "Squire can capture if supported by an allied card" -- so who are our allies? and how will they help us capture???? Super shocked to see children in the middle tent. They just became really real people with real families. trapped in shadows (lots of shadows happening here) Kaladin was never really free. Favorite quote this chapter is when are we free? I feel strongly in my life that I am bound by decisions that I made years ago. And while I would not change those decisions (to have children for instance) -- they certainly impact my daily life in very demanding ways. The shadows of the choice to have children will always be present in my life. I'm not sure if we would ever want to be truly free -- to wake up each morning with a completely clean slate.I enjoyed this discussion of freedom. Color & Spren Observations for Chapter 17 spoiled/hidden for length Chapter 18: Double Vision spice = wouldn't this indicate a man? Or a woman who liked man's food? Ialai perhaps? strata is mesmerizing. I'm watching this strata! favorite quote: wow -- the above quote was in my notes as my favorite. Turns out that a very similar quote was in chapter 30 quoted by Shallan. Very interesting! That is why I need to read all of this. The men certainly like Shallan; don't they. Color & Spren Observations for Chapter 17 spoiled/hidden for length

Wow! There are already 13 pages and I am just now getting my responses to these chapters typed up. What exciting chapters they were! Halloween has been a very busy day indeed. I do have to say the the dry-ice bubbles or boo-bubbles I did in the elementary school today reminded me of a fabrial. If it had been dark clouds instead of white I would have said it was like the stone Gavilar had that he gave to Szeth. As per the usual I haven't read any other other responses yet. (Wouldn't want to taint my remarks with undue influence!) Chapter 28: Another Option Mr Brandon Sanderson knows how to tell stories. He does it on a grand level (The Cosmere), a Series Level (Mistborn Era's 1&2, Stormlight, Alcatraz, etc) , He does it on a triology level (Reckoners, Mistborn Era 1), a book level, parts of a book, and here we see him do it brilliantly within a chapter. The story that Nohadon tells so brilliantly reflects the decisions in Dalinar's life. But will this "another option" that Dalinar discovers to visit other leaders in dreams during highstorms amount to putting them in prison? If the book Oathbringer was written by Dalinar (which seems more likely this week, since Dalinar viewed himself through Taravangian as a heretic; and the passed between realms -- perhaps he does this when visiting others in visions during their dreams) and Dalinar does admit to his monstrous past (The Sword Oathbringer remembers the day it was won by Dalinar -- that would be interesting to read from the Sword's perspective) then the words which Taravangian spoke of Nohadon are also telling us what Dalinar is doing: As his memories of Evi return he will have much weighing heavily on his conscience. (I believe) So Shallan has reported the strange spren to Dalinar. That is good to know. Wasn't it just established that the vents bring him fresh air? He just wanted to be alone me thinks. Strata = Folds of a fan. It looks like there are still mysteries in this strata that we have yet to fully see (unfold) and understand. OK, this is bothering me. I thought that Shardblades couldn't cut through the stone in Urithiru??? In the Prologue of WoR from Jasnah's POV we read So I know that Shardblades can cut regular stone -- but I was under the impression that the stone in Urithiru was different. That a Shardblade couldn't cut through it. I know Shallan's sword was automatically dulled for practice at one point but I'm pretty sure the stone in Urithuri couldn't be scratched by a shardblade??. And then with what happens in the next chapter with Shallan using a blade to cut some strata -- I'm very confused. I'm hoping that this question has already been answered and accounted for. If not, I will have to dig through the previous OB chapters for clues. I find it interesting that both Kaladin & Dalinar have willingly given shardbaldes to someone (Moash and Amaram) who will eventually use that blade to fight against them. (I am makins some assumptions here) What does the dead blade think about that?/????? And I totally predicted that Amaram would end up with Oathbringer. While he hasn't bonded it yet -- he was holding it and it is obvious to me that Amaram will bond it. Glad I was following your foreshadowing Mr Sanderson. //wink My favorite quote from this chapter: and so we see Dalinar's past as being very hypocritical of his present state. I'm glad that Dalniar is aware of this and it makes me more curious as to his past rather than angered by it. (although it is still disgusting) but if I find out that he killed Vivienna . . . . . . . I'm really looking forward to the chapters where Dalinar will visit others in a dream during the highstorm. I wonder when he will visit Kaladin and if his visit will betray Kaladin to the yellow spren. Color & Spren Observations for Chapter 28 spoiled/hidden for length Chapter 29: No Backing Down That just made me happy to read two thats together. Don't know why. So Veil is training her men to be spies. I like that. I had questions as to whither the men knew her true identity, but obviously those questions were answered by the end of the chapter. @Fifth of Daybreak you really need to dress up as the guy that was murdered. The mustaches. He had more than one? Maybe his eyebrows were considered mustaches too? Perhaps it was because today was Halloween, but I just imagined you walking around with your multiple mustaches and a deck of cards, with a half broken bottle going through your head. I do wonder how will she explain where Veil went once Shallan was the one who caught the unmade. I'm sure she will figure something out. But how long will her team believe this lie. I still want to know why Red has the name Red. Seems like he should have red eyes or something. He made me laugh but then I remembered that my teenagers are reading these books and his comments made me mad. Then I figured that his sexual innuendo went right over their heads. (or at least I hope it did) But why did Shallan laugh? I thought she was pretty sheltered in that department . . . . . . . (Where was Chaperone Pattern when I was counting on him) Obviously Shallan added much more than a pretty map today -- but this comment by Shallan brought me back to the discussion last week on gender prejudices. I've been thinking about many of those comments and while I don't have anything meaningful to add to the the discussion right now, I do feel like I am learning and noticing those things more. (both in literature and in real life) Still chuckling at that brilliant line When will I get to see the full tapestry??? This reminded me of the front cover of Oathbringer. Except Jasnah wasn't there and the cover is in light; not darkness. Maybe there will be a future scene where Jasnah is on these steps (in the light) I found those lines hilarious! Lots of C alliteration going on with these adjectives. I like it! Metal Doors you say? What kind of Metal? METAL STEEL DOORS!!! Mistborn Spoiler Because I don't want to miss a single metal clue . . . . I needed a quick refresher (just in case it was relevant) So during the last half of the chapter, I kept thinking that everyone from Bridge 4 was there. My heart was racing and I was so afraid that they would all die protecting Shallan and that Kaladin would have to come back to having his entire team slaughtered and Amaram in charge. Luckily my worry was for naught -- but still -- it was pretty intense for me for a few minutes.I was so proud of all of them and how they fought. Renarin healing everyone was so sweet. I'm glad that Shallan and Renarin both were able to understand each other without any pretenses. I think I'm blurring chapters 29 & 30 together now . . . . . Color & Spren Observations for Chapter 29 spoiled/hidden for length Chapter 30: Mother of Lies I liked Pattern & Shallan both fighting/reaching out for each other. Shallan's intimate moment with the unmade was unexpected, and yet so right. I'm sure we will see this unmade again and she will remember this interaction with Shallan. I assuming her imprisonment was because she had been trapped in Urithiru. The unmade's thought processes reminded me of the spren that are evolving and trying to understand more -- but also of nightblood. His inability to always understand what "evil" is in order to destroy it. I'm assuming that the unmade can't progress like the spren are progressing? This reminded me of Thunderclasts -- but perhaps it was meant to refer to basic soul-casting? That was my favorite quote from this chapter. Very similar to what Shallan said in chapter 18 So we think we discovered the power core of Urithuri. That would explain why it is so far down. Perhaps the storms reach it. Is this Power core an illusion somehow? To make us believe that there isn't more behind the secrets of Urithiru? There has got to be more. (The Strata!!!!) Color & Spren Observations for Chapter 30 spoiled/hidden because that is what I did with the other one and I like to follow protocol (Even though this one is super short) I really, really, really enjoyed this weeks chapters. . . and already starting down the count down for next week!

[OB] I’m going to wear a red scarf to the OB release party!
JoyBlu replied to JoyBlu's topic in Stormlight Archive
@Fifth of Daybreak I found your costume in this weeks chapter OB:29 You can have your mustache and perhaps even two! -
I can relate to this this insight on Adolin as well. It’s easier to clean someone else’s car/room/house than it is to clean my own. This combined with something ( @maxal ) said about Adolin growing up with a disabled brother made me realize how I identify with/like/care about Adolin so much. @Darkness this post hit me like a ton of bricks. Of course I knew the facts behind both deaths. I had never until now compared Tien to Helaran. But that is exactly the comparison I should have made. The loss of a brother. Doesn’t matter if the brother was older or younger. If you were looking out for him or if he was looking out for you. If he left you and you couldn’t follow or if he left you and you did follow. If the brother was innocent or deeply involved in the “things of the world”. Both brothers were loved and both died in battle. The conversation between Shallan & Kaladin that will happen about Kaladin killing Helaran just got a lot more personal (and it was already pretty personal) for me. I’m hoping that Renarian doesn’t join the “I lost a brother” club too. (But I’m afraid he will)
-
OB chapter 25 So I only recently joined the 17th shard — and this will be my first midnight release party! (Provo, Utah Monday Nov 13th) I’ve decided that I’m wearing a red kerchief neck scarf to the party. I’m inviting anyone else who will be there to do the same. I’m not sure if there is a precedent set to identify other 17th shard members at these signings or not. Is there? If there is please tell me because I want to identify with you’all. Im not getting the VIP pass and will be in line for a long time (probably finishing Warbreaker reread) and would love to visit with some of you InRealLife. i didn’t dare post this outside this thread because the red scarf could be considered a spoiler. Only two more weeks!!!!!!
-
Yes, let’s discuss. So a big huge problem I see of Amaram being dead is this: So most everyone that knew/understood what was really going on the night Gavilar died has died. There are only a few witnesses that are still alive and — people want to kill those witnesses now. Amaram was there. He was in the inner circle. He can’t die until until we know what he knew. Same goes with Taravangian. I’m afraid they will both be dead before we realize that they have the clues/pieces/information our main characters need to make the decisions to save the world. Let’s not be so hasty to get rid of them.
-
I will be there. I’m so excited!!! I’ll be wearing a red scarf around my neck. (And if I have to wait in a long line I’m bringing Warbreaker with me to reread) Please come say hi if you see me or message me on here. Not doing the VIP because I’ll be bringing my son and his “friend” and mumbling “no mating” under my breath the entire night!

[OB] Timeline clarification wanted from WoR:74 to OB:27
JoyBlu replied to JoyBlu's topic in Stormlight Archive
Wow @Govirthat is exactly what I was looking for — and a whole lot more. @jofwu your timeline is incredible. I hadn’t seen it previously. Thank you!
