Well to start each spike only steals a specific subset of powers so there might just not be a spike which can steal Mistborn abilities in their entirety, but also sDNA, Innate investiture and your spiritweb aren't all the same thing, Hemalurgy just steals a piece of spiritweb, not the entirety of that persons innate Investiture. I think it mostly has to do with the nature of allomancy, there's not much in the way of gradation in the lower levels, you're either a misting, or just a regular person, someone with a little bit of Preservation can't burn a metal very weakly they just can't burn it at all, likewise the step between misting and mistborn isn't being able to burn more than 1 metal or burning them all a little bit, there's just a sudden jump. At the next level there'd be ascension I suppose. And now that I think about it, Savantism seems similar, it's a sudden leap in ability.

If you're close enough to dump some pitch on them you might as well try to stab them in the eye, but either way I think you'd very quickly lose your eyes I still think Crossbows would be the way to go, particularly with some attached fabrials for added strength.

The force of the push shouldn't be equal to the allomancer's weight, it would be a constant dependant on their allomantic strength, the weight just determines the acceleration of each I think. (Unless a downward push is used) If it was equal to the weight then pushing off a coin on the ground (Which is effectively pushing off of the planet) would send you into orbit, not just soaring over buildings

Memories of the feruchemist, but those memories can be audible, Sazed stores notes that he speaks aloud in WoA I believe. It would mostly be useful for retaining vocabulary, less so things like accents.
-
Hoid also has feruchemy don't forget, copperminds would be useful, and I imagine he has a few tricks for using it more effectively too. EDIT: Also there are hundreds of years between each of the books, I think we have WoB that he does do some timeskipping but even so there is plenty of time for him to waste.

Actually if we're using conjoined fabrials I've always thought that pairing a ballista to just a random crossbow bolt would work well if you had good communication, you don't need to worry about portability then.

I'm weird in that I actually enjoyed the 2nd book the least, Jardir's sections just annoy me, it's a really interesting character concept especially when you compare it to the traditional trope of the unwilling hero but I just really hate his viewpoints, he reminds me of a male version of Egwene. First and third books I really enjoyed though has anyone else seen the spoiler for book 4 yet?

Also keep in mind that the force from the Chasmfiend was a bit more spread out, wheras with a warhammer you're generally going to be aiming for just one of the plates. But I think we all know that the best weapon for killing Shardbearers is... The spanreed! Throw a corresponding reed to the feet of the Shardbearer, then activate the pairing fabrial, pull yours up and jab them in the eye.

I don't see Hemalurgy as inherently evil, although I don't agree with the capital punishment version either, but what about people with incurable diseases who just want to help someone else? I'd see it as something like being an organ donor, taking organs from people against their will? Definitely not a good thing but from someone who's already dying? I think it's great that people are capable of that kind of generosity. As long as the person being spiked was anesthetized first I don't see a problem with it.

As long as Brandon swings by every now and then for signings I am totally ok with that, as for the glowing thing you can just use an illusion, also if the city is Elantris then the whole place will be glowing so everyone else is going to look out of place, I'll fit right in
-
If there's an equivalent of Elantris to give a power-up to Elantrians I'd definitely go with that, it's just so open ended, teleportation, create food out of nothing, infinite energy, free lighting, and of course invincibility. After that I'd go with being an Artifabrian if we can have spren, although that's probably hard since we don't have renewable sources of gemstones. Basically I'd pick something that can open up a permanent investiture, rather than Allomancy, Feruchemy or Surgebinding, just seems more useful for earth.

I'd have to throw in that Sel is the EoD, the pressure of the Dor just seems like such a good connection to density for me, it was the first thing I thought of when I saw the map of Shadesmar.

Inquisitor's don't need to have all 8 base metals, copper's not particularly useful for them, and they'll already have one ability (They're made from mistings remember) I'm pretty sure we have multiple instances of WoB that they use Feruchemical gold to heal. Elantrians have a massive Aon targetting them too, so we can't be sure how much is the effect of being an Elantrian and how much is the Aon, even when it's incomplete it keeps them immortal, that being said both Stormlight healing and Breath are I think good examples so it might still work.

Fairytail is so much win, best of the main shounen anime IMO. Mirrai Nikki is awesome, just great characters and a good plot, fast paced and I still don't know how I missed the ending. Code Geass, also great and amazing, recommended for anyone who liked Death note, quite similar. Death note, classic although I still get annoyed at the second season, should have left it at the first. Naruto is good but a bit heavy on flashbacks, gets a bit repetitive and annoying. Bleach I found to be a bit heavy on the exposition in every fight, it lost a lot of pacing when it's 3 episodes of people talking to each other just for 3 minutes of fighting. Elfen Lied was good but a bit graphic in the violence and nudity departments. Sword art online was good, as is Log Horizon, which is a similar show that's airing still. Not really an anime but I freaking love RWBY, hillarious, great characters, awesome fight scenes, although the animation is a little subpar outside of the combat.

Doesn't have to still be true, the tradition could have started centuries ago, even though it's now pretty useless. I agree that it could just be a cultural adaption that took it's inspiration from some of our cultures, I just thought it was an interesting coincidence that might have something behind it.
-
Probably not deliberately but Splintering two Shards has got to require a fair amount of Shardic power, might be enough to give him form-blindness for a while.
-
I can't believe I only just thought of this connection but I just realised the connection between Selian form-based magic and this, along with Odium having visited Sel, so I'm thinking that it's possible that since he's been to Sel that Odium picked up the focus-blindness to forms there, and this lore has been passed down and eventually become adopted by Vorin culture as prayer-burning. Now feel free to shoot me down and point out who theorised this before me

I'm not sure that storing that much heat is even possible, it'd be like tapping enough speed to travel at light speed, you might get close to absolute zero but stopping all movement might take more bronze than the planet could even hold.
-
Hemalurgic atium can be used to take any attribute so there are some parallels.
-
I'd think that the alloy would at the least need to be partially composed of the mistings own metal for them to try to burn it, although I'd think that those who burn pure metals wouldn't be able to burn any alloys.
-
I'd go with Shardlet or Junior's ideas, either keep a bunch of chaklings somewhere in the design or else alter it to force them down a certain path and then just bombard them with either your own chaklings or else lines of vigor, that way you'd actually destroy some of the enemy chalkings and could potentially hold them off for much longer.
-
Feruchemical gold might be able to repair the physical damage but I'm not sure that it could repair damaged DNA, otherwise gold compounders wouldn't age.
-
I think I remember an experienced Chromium misting might be able to wipe metalminds but that might have just been speculation.
-
I want to know what happens when you move the cognitive aspects in Shadesmar around.
