Purple Phoenix darted behind the nearest corner. He'd been spotted, not that the Epic in the truck could have known who he was but he hated losing the element of surprise in the event that things got violent. He still had no idea as to this Epics abilities, he seemed to have a lot of people with him, none of them were the other Epics, they all seemed relatively normal if slightly dazed in appearance, but there'd also been a dog and what almost looked like a vulture of some kind, did this Epic have some kind of affinity with animals? It made the museum make more sense, research? He'd need a closer look to find out. Slinking out from cover Purple Phoenix ran from cover to cover, silently thanking whichever idiotic Epic had left all of these ridiculous spiked cars out the front of the museum, only Epics were ever confident enough to advertise themselves with trophies like this. Sidling along the side wall of the museum, he climbed up a nearby dumpster to try to peer through a window to assess the situation, darned thing was full of paper, brochures and what seemed to be a printout of a wikipedia article on this museum and its contents, like most academics -former academic- he reminded himself. Like many former academics he still held a lingering hatred of Wikipedia, irrational though it was he felt a brief urge to incinerate the piece of crumpled paper and dumpster both. Hold up, don't go blowing something up if you're standing on it. His Voice interjected again. "Look I already listened to your advice and came to this museum, I can't die permanently so if I want to blow it up I will!" He whispered angrily, never being entirely sure if the Voice could hear his thoughts. Well maybe you can only reincarnate so much. His Voice mused. Maybe that's why the Epic comes to kill you every night, to weaken you! That almost made sense, that was troubling in itself, he thought the Voice was insane, if it started making sense all the time... ​Ah, he was wasting time! He stuffed the paper into one of his pockets, pulled out a pistol in one hand, glowing pebble in the other and peered through the window.

I've got a short scene for PP written, mostly just him arriving just after Lightwards, he's spying through the windows.

Reduce the friction of any surface to essentially zero, can be used on his shoes, allowing him lift style gliding or on an entire floor to make everyone else fall over.

Can I suggest a friction-manipulating Epic named Quickslide?

Rand's Taveren effect isn't necessarily good luck though, it's just probability altering.

Works for an introduction to PP too, getting accidentally rolled into the fight.

I would love to see Möbius meeting Funtimes, being trapped in an infinite bouncy castle would be significantly less terrifying

I think we're all not really thinking this fight through. Rand prepares a balefire weave, TLR compounds a buttload of luck. Rand trips and falls on his own balefire, TLR wins the fight and technically he's literally won before it started.

PP objects, saying that he's both an Epic and sane! The Protector disagrees on both counts

Wasn't sure of the distance and weather or not you might steal a certain brightly coloured car or something I could hide in Yeah I think PP will be following Lightwards for a bit, he's the biggest unknown for me at the moment, NH is pretty obvious with his powers, though perhaps not his hounds, and the insane duo are pretty well known at this point, he's made some educated guesses about their abilities. Lightwards is still an unknown though, so we'll be watching you Kobold!

I like Lightwards too, he's a great character.

Well I was hoping for PP to meet the fun party crew tomorrow at some point not too fussed how it happens, they could catch him spying or something I suppose, but it'll be reactionary to them moving first so I can't go first obviously.

Purple Phoenix finally found a house close by that was the right distance and already abandoned, he hated having to evict tenants, his powers got... messy when used on living things, and it brought forth unpleasant feelings unworthy of a being such as he, almost he could remember... "No! Not that, not again! Need to prepare, need to wait, yes nearly night that Epic will strike again. Yes. Jealousy that must be it." He whispered into his darkened room continuously trying to stave off his invisible foe, but inevitably as it always did the powers claimed him, his eyes drooped and he imagined the strangest things. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Protector sat up, moving his body, testing his limbs. A full nights work ahead, poor Phoenix was going to be tired in the morning. He moved out of the room, began collecting supplies for the coming day, he was in a city full of Epics, he would definitely need to be prepared if Phoenix was going to survive this, they'd confronted Epics before, even killed quite a few and not just lesser Epics, but never in such numbers. "Ah, I knew it was a mistake to keep encouraging him, he's just getting more and more overconfident." he hissed. Slipping off his deep purple coat he changed into his full dark suit, left his bowler hat by the door and strode out into the night, he needed to track down those Epics from before, find out where they were going, something about reptiles? A zoo? No, Dinosaurs! How on earth do they plan on doing anything with species that are long since extinct he wondered. Well we're in for a long night of stalking Phoenix, I'll leave you prepared tomorrow. I just wish you'd follow my voices advice more often.
