Laurelai's brow climbed up to her hairline as she watched the speed of Lita's recovery. It certainly wasn't a meager supply of Health, and assuming that Lita had been careful not to draw too much there must be quite a large store. That's definitely going to be useful. Handy to be able to heal without needing to spend a minute analyzing first, this mission seems more likely to leave corpses than injuries, might not have a lot of time handy to Reseal people. "We need up-to-date information first." Laurelai began as she pulled out a small plate and started rummaging for food. "Get a view on what's happening in the city. If TUBA noticed something was off as well then the guilds may have started moving, and we can't dismiss the possibility that others might be working with PlasmaCore, or responsible for creating them." She pulled a larger platter out and began stacking it with bread, cheese, and fruits before stacking the smaller plate with cookies, brownies and other pastries. One of the perks of living in the Alleys meant no shortages of baked goods. She took a sip of port along with a small bite from one of the cookies, letting the chocolatey taste mix with the richer flavour of the alcohol. "Mmm. That should do." She said, taking a moment to savour it before offering the bowl to Lita. "Perhaps we could find one of the other guilds, we have a Lightweaver with us now so we might be able to blend in with some of them, find out what information they know." First rule of spying, let someone else spy on dangerous people, then you can just spy on them.

Dullahan, Bladed Weapons, Stealth, Farsight, Observation, Increase Attack Going for a stealth/rogue build.

Could create a character with that kind of a template. Race: Angel Skills: Magic, Bladed Weapons, Enchantment (Plus 2 others) Wouldn't be able to make fire blades right from the get go but it's possible to get there pretty quickly.

Basically they can use their wings to avoid fall damage, bonus to damage from light and dark element spells, they can't use or be healed by standard recovery spells, they get 2 racial spells, one is a mix of dark and light damage, the other is a healing ability that works on things that usually can't be healed. I might make a character sheet but basically the important things are racial choice and starting skills. (Can choose 5 from the list)

Well that'll certainly come in handy. Laurelai mused, taking an interested glance at the coin. One less person to Reseal if explosions start going off or anything. Laurelai nodded as she continued staring at the coin, she pulled a small dagger out from a hidden fold of her dress. She hadn't needed it so far thankfully but it was always best to be prepared. "This should do." She said. "Not the sharpest blade in the world but then on the first try you probably don't really want that." She flipped the dagger in one hand, offering the hilt to Lita. "Oh, and one more thing..." She said, bending to open a small cupboard and rummaging through it. A moment later there was a small clinking of glass as two port glasses were set down on a counter, followed by an unopened bottle. Laurelai resurfaced with a small smile and poured a glass for each of them. "We'll probably need these."

Laurelai stepped out into her quarters, bringing the others with her as she'd Alleytravelled out of Alley 0. They arrived in the hallway between her workshop and kitchen but she immediately strode towards her workshop door, holding it open for the others as she stepped into the room. Bookshelves lined the walls, the spines showing titles in a variety of languages, Scadrian, Alethi, English, a large number with various Selish symbols on them. In the center of the room lay a desk with chunks of Soulstone littered about its surface, loose sheets of paper with shorthand scribbles on them, a few half-completed stamps. "Sorry." Laurelai said, beginning to move around the room and straighten a few of the books, pull the papers into a pile and cleaning up the other items that lay strewn about the place before finally gesturing to the couch which stood on the other side of the desk. "Please, sit. I'll get some drinks." @ZincAboutIt, @kenod

As long as no one tries to overshadow other PCs then I was thinking of just leaving peoples progression up to themselves, if we timeskip anything and there's some assumed level grinding or something then people can just gain levels as appropriate.

A mediocre ending, I guess it's better than it could have been but this did nothing to help what's already happened. Guess this is another series that I'll never be rewatching. Maybe by the time new books are out I'll give them a try but right now it's just so thoroughly disappointing. -
So I've been thinking of possibly attempting another revival for this, with the caveat that it'll probably be more free form and less rigid. Letting people help invent the setting and rules themselves rather than me calculating xp and damage outputs and abilities and stuff. @ShadowLord_Lith, @The Young Pyromancer, @Emperor Stick, @Ink

Not all of them are inactive, and even those that are still pop in to say hi on the odd occasion but I guess this is an appropriate place to say goodbye to the old gang from the Reckoners RP. You guys are all awesome writers and amazing people. We had a good span of insanity between us all, and I'll always miss those days. Love you all.

Laurelai gave a professional nod towards KanMien, she was about to turn towards Lita again when she realized that she recognized the look that the Kandra was giving her. Kumiko had told them her name hadn't she? She thought back for a moment, then realized she recognized the name. "Sorry KanMien." She said a little more warmly. "It's been a long day." Rusts her shoulders were feeling stiff. It might have been some kind of phantom pain from being shot with darts, more likely though it was just the stress of such a long day, especially one that occurred immediately after she'd pulled an all nighter in the department of records. "Well, I'm in need of a change of outfits. Shall we reconvene at my place for the time being?" Laurelai said, addressing all of them. "We can plan there for the time being, it should be a little quieter." They could receive any communications via Alleycant if needed so there shouldn't be any problems with them leaving. And of course one of the larger benefits... "Plus I should have some port and wine left too." She added with a smirk.

Laurelai watched Lita approach the Stranger, her sense of curiosity warred briefly with her sense of courtesy. Eventually courtesy won out, Lita had asked for some privacy after all, there wasn't much point in asking if she was just going to try to spy on her anyway. And she doubted any attempted eavesdropping would go unnoticed by the Stranger anyway. Her eyes focussed back on KanMien as the kandra approached and spoke briefly with Kumiko. Kandra could be interesting, those in the DA tended to be a little more varied than those found outside. "Yes" She finally replied as Lita finished her own conversation and started heading back. "I needed to talk to you about some assistance. We've all had some experience with the Department of Counter Intelligence yes? Well they're looking for people to investigate the situation a little more, gather some more information. It seems that between us we have a somewhat diverse pool of talent, would you care to come along for the ride?"

Whisper stiffened as Voidus stared at her, she saw his eyes drift towards the top of her head, noticed the slight crease to his eyebrows when he saw it. His eyes then, mercifully, moved on to the others standing nearby but he'd definitely noticed. "Tch" She softly clicked her tongue in annoyance before remembering her surroundings. In an instant her face slipped back into the small, somewhat bashful smile. She averted her eyes from the others around her nad looked around curiously. He saw me. It shouldn't matter, records are still there anyway, anyone could check if they had a mind to. Knew the risk in coming here anyway but it would have been more suspicious if I didn't. Hopefully he can'r read minds at least, it's always been one of the more unlikely rumours but then again there's too little information to make any reliable deductions. Her fingers momentarily tensed around the spike before relaxing. She needed to move away from this gathering soon, but keeping connections was important, she'd need to leave on business. Preferably with someone else. She smiled up at Lita as her spike spun once again, this time she spun it openly in front of them, not seeming to try to hide the communication. Get mission? Together? Can help. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Laurelai stared after Voidus as he left, watching him whisper something briefly to Mac before straightening again. Had their eyes flickered over here for a moment? She hated being talked about without knowing why. Especially by figures like these. Had it been an execution order? A joke? A complaint? Her jaw clenched and she managed to barely hold back from grinding her teeth but then directed her attention back towards her immediate surroundings, catching the message from Lita. A good point, I'd rather not be next to some ancient unknown artifact without knowing what it does. What if it self destructs or something? She gave a slight smile to indicate that it was a joke, but then again they also couldn't really dismiss that possibility. Life in the DA just came with certain risks. The young girl, Whisper signed something as well. It was a little difficult to make out through the strangely accented twists and turns but her gaze that continued back and forth between them and the leaders was clear enough that she didn't really need to interpret it. "If you think you're up for it?" She said cautiously. "Though we'll need to find this Kandra as well, any idea where they might be?" She turned towards Kumiko at that, asking about KanMien's whereabouts. Did you want some privacy? She sent privately to Lita. Or some support? @ZincAboutIt @kenod
