So what you're saying is you managed to create a functioning model of WHIO-verse Portland?

This was just a random thought I had in response to something elsewhere on the forums but what if Dawnslight is Calamity's sick younger brother and Regalia has been holding him hostage? It would make sense of why Calamity is willing to help her so much, giving new powers to people, upgrading existing powers, etc.

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
Voidus replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Granted. It can only teleport things into the heart of the sun. It is quite handy as a waste disposal system though. I wish I owned every game on Steam. -
Read: ALL of the characters.

I just noticed that Traceria (Lovingly listed as the first victim of the Dark Alley in our intro page) Voted for me as president. Thanks Traceria! But you may be suffering from Stockholm Syndrome

I used to love Dwarf Fortress! Adventurer would like to play that particular boss battle with the sound muted.

He's not fond of Oregon's user interface, he can never find his quest log or character sheet. And his character has entirely too little health. He is definitely going to be fun, he'd love to meet Funtimes since he'd consider her a quick-travel option and Merchant with unlimited stores
-
He'd more likely complain at the lack of checkpoints, he has been known to mutter that to himself on resurrection though. Definitely
-
Even Brandon doesn't always pronounce his characters names properly, like in Mistborn for instance he pronounces names like any american would but they're all french sounding (So Vin is actually Vahn or something like that I think, Kelsier is Kel-syay)
-
The Adventurer will probably start 'gathering supplies' soon. By which I mean entering random people's houses and looting them.

Sacletes hunted through the northern forest, his senses were bombarded with an array of strange new sights, sounds and scents. In his desert home any creature that made more noise than a whisper would be dead within minutes, the sound carried across the sands easily and predators were always hungry in the desert. Predators including Sacletes and his tribe. It had taken them days of trekking through the sands but they had finally reached the end of the harsh desert winds, the arid ground which had refused to yield any crops to the Soratians. What awaited them was nothing short of astonishing. In all of his lives Sacletes had never seen anything like this 'forest'. He'd heard of them from other, now vanquished desert tribes but seeing one was entirely different. Plants bloomed everywhere, beast and bird climbed the great towering trees, the birds then launching themselves off in search of other, still higher branches, the beasts sitting peacefully in their leafy homes, idly foraging the trees around them for sustenance. Food was everywhere. Noise was everywhere, the birds sung to each other and seemingly there were no predators to catch them in their folly. Sacletes smiled. This new hunting ground could support a tribe dozens of times larger than the Soratians current size, the wood here could build countless homes, the fish in the rivers and fowl of the air would provide rich new foods to feed the next generation of Soratian warriors. And the surrounding tribes would provide sport for their hunting. Prowling stealthily through the forests he reached his Second hunter, Jorat. Jathoras' father had a skill with the bow beyond any other hunters, managing to fell stray Scantlen with a single shot. He was the tribes second deadliest hunter. "Jorat, tell the tribe that we have found our new home, speak to them of the wonders that await them at the end of todays march. We will feast tonight my friend, the first of a great many to come." With a smile, Jorat departed, effortlessly adapting to his new environment he had vanished in seconds. Sacletes began hunting, joining his other scouts in felling many forest beasts to prepare for the arrival of the tribe. Tomorrow the Makers would fashion them a host of new traps and weapons for their new home, the Builders would adapt to their new materials and begin construction. And the Hunters would teach any other nearby tribes that this was now Soratian territory.

Granted. The food is salted so perfectly that everyone steals it from you before you get a chance to eat any. I wish that I had a taco. -

Granted. Every time you do so you are forced to re-read the entire Twilight saga and then go on facebook telling everyone how great it is. I wish that I had a robot arm. -
Metronome. Everyone loses to Metronome in the end.
-
On another note, in Australia Black friday means something completely different, it was some of the worst bushfires we've had, so I guess a fire Epic then?
-
Huh. Didn't even notice that one. *twitches* BRB guys.
-
More firefight spoilers
-
Mistborn and WoR are both great reads, I'd also recommend Elantris since it was his first published work, the writings not quite as polished as his later books but I still love it.
-
But when Backtrack mentioned he had met the great Metronome all was forgiven as team Funacid joined him in the corner to cower in fear of the worlds greatest Epic!
-
Like a mechanical hand that slaps him whenever he starts crying?
-
Welcome to the forums! Well I'd certainly hold off on browsing too much until you've at least finished tWoK since there can be quite a few spoilers floating around but I certainly hope to see some more posts from you once you're completely caught up. Any ideas on what you'll read next? Also, would you care for a traditional welcome to the forums cookie?
-
Well I did have one, but Chimera killed him, I'll have a quick look and see if I can find a replacement Poor Backtrack. "I tried, but there was this army of pandas and flying pigs and I got shot and then someone who teleported in shiny sparkles stole my glasses." *blank stares*
-
He's been busy following Obliteration for a while now but he's given up for now and is on his way to Portland.
-
His power is to make every sharp object in a 100m radius launch themselves at the biggest Slontze in the area.
