  1. He wasn't as bad before he became an Epic but yeah something like Halloween would probably cause him to have a pretty major psychotic episode and he would likely do exactly this, slay mosnters and rescue princesses.
  2. You went as Vin to Halloween. That makes you one of the most awesome people in the world.
  3. That seems pretty likely.

    Alleymatics

We changed our minds, we don't want people researching our cookies. No... what would make you think that? *Whispers* "Guys quick! Hide the cakes! They're coming for our cakes!"
  5. Likewise I went as a shut-in introvert from a country where Halloween isn't really that big a thing.
  6. There's another WoB that it's from a Shard we know and we don't know any Shard called Rust, that also doesn't really fit with the other Shards which have all been emotions and intentions, rust is just a physical thing.

    Copper Twinborn

Yeah there's a WoB that his metalminds were his spikes. Not sure about that, Elend experienced the spiritual realm directly to do that, Coppers pretty much entirely cognitive plus it's only your own memories, not sure how extra information could be pushed into them like that.
  8. I like that idea of using Electrum, something else you could do was train yourself to react in obvious ways to certain scenarios, maybe even learn sign language and just constantly sign to yourself things that are happening around you so when you look at the Electrum shadow you could see it.
  9. And after catching up on the latest Portland posts I'm really surprised that I haven't got any Epics called Helpy Helper.
  10. Sorry, forgot to set permissions, should be open now.
  11. *Vaporizes Nalthis* Yeah me too. Then again I think the odds are the same even if he's not mid-Ascension, I'm just not sure how people think anyone could possibly beat someone who's not only insanely combat-strong but is also immortal.
  12. Powerino? Investron? Yeah not coming up with anything.
  13. Alright well if twice a week is looking good for most people that should be ok to get started with, so city planning comes next I guess. Started a doc for city and Epic planning here.
  14. Given your astounding ability to pull the exact thread I was thinking of out of thin air I can only possibly conclude that you are in fact a witch. Now excuse me while I go fetch my tinfoil hats.
  15. Not sure, if we start filling the questions thread with actual planning instead of pugs and ponies the internet might explode.
  16. There was a topic on the subject here, also here. But I seem to remember an even older topic being around back when I first joined the Shard, when a few of us started drawing parallels between Allomancy and AonDor. Can't seem to find it but it might be around somewhere.
  17. Agreed, I think the time ratio would start at about 1 day:1 week RL time, to get everyone used to it and if people end up waiting for time to pass before posting again then we could potentially increase it to faster. Ideally I'd like people to post at least once a day when possible once it really gets started, obviously if RL intervenes and anyone needs a few days' absence that'd be fine although for extended absences (Multiple in-game days) we might need to work something out about what'll happen to the city in the meantime. I think we have a good number of people to start getting into some serious planning and make sure everyones sure on the details of what'll be needed. So far we have: Adelaide-Voidus-Ready and raring to go. Perth-Mr. Mistborn Brisbane-Mckeedee Sydney-Venture Melbourne-Blackhoof Darwin-Winter Hobart/Canberra-18th Shard, currently undecided on which city Blaze-Not ruling a city but is somewhere with his ice-manipulating Epic. So are you guys all good to try to get a couple posts a week in? Again this is all starting off pretty experimental so if it gets too much don't hesitate to bring it up and we can talk about changing pace, less skirmishing or whatever it takes, we all just want to have another awesome RP to play in and a country a few dozen times the size of Oregon to destroy
  18. I don't think the pacing would be an issue, or rather if it would it would be an issue no matter what the scale was. If people wrote at the pace they do in the regular RP it would be a problem but the whole point is for it to be faster paced. The turf war concept would be on a city scale so 18ths city concept would I suppose be analogous to Thoughttown, thematically relevant as a means of distinguishing the city. I agree that details need to be ironed out though so just to be clear your city will be open to attacks by other cities, full scale wars will be arranged between players but single Epics or a small group of soldiers can be expected to appear relatively frequently and may cause a disturbance.
  19. The major Shardworlds I think all existed before the Shards arrived on them.
  20. Could work, any city in mind? Most of the larger cities are taken so there'd probably only be 1 High Epic in each of the remaining cities (Canberra and Hobart are left I think) Only potential problem I see is how their vanilla sister survived their rending.
  21. I think WoB was that they do just no Mistborn, it'd be similar to the rates of Allomancy before Rashek went to the Well, rare but not unheard of.
  22. Well I think the large scale conflicts would be something almost like a sub-plot, I think of it as more like the turf wars in Portland, there'll be occasional skirmishes and such but the full scale warfare will wait until the RPs got quite a bit of momentum Done. Love the idea of the wastelands and the desert bandits. So unless anyone else has objections on that front I'm fanonzing it.
  23. Interestingly enough both Cadmium and Bendalloy mistings with pewter feruchemy could be called Relatifists. (Sorry, had to get another one out)
  24. I think that noticing that his palace is moving would be enough to prompt TLR to start tapping some Steel, he can blitz out of there before anything serious can happen. That's really the problem, he's immortal so Vasher can't really kill him without knowing about the bracers and his feruchemy lets him get out of pretty much any trap Vasher could possibly set. I'm just not sure it's possible to kill TLR without getting rid of his bracers and there's just no reason anyone would think to do that. Assassination attempts are still the best option but even then you only really get enough time to pull off one attack and I can't really think of any that would guarantee he'd die. Maybe a few Knight Radiants could manage it, fire's probably the best bet since although they'd have no reason to think it would work their attacks might accidentally melt his bracers off. Sazed was wrong, he'd just barely scratched the surface of compounding you can't really blame him. Compounders don't need to keep storing their trait and if he did then again why would he only be slightly older? Why doesn't he turn into a 1000 year old corpse? Other than mass soothing crowds the only other times he uses Allomancy is to kill people, which happens all of twice. He also likely uses feruchemical rather than allomantic tin for his heartbeat-lie detection since he isn't blind, I'm pretty sure he doesn't sleep either so Wakefullness probably gets a bit of use. The truth is he gets very, very little screentime, we can't really say what he uses or prefers to use.
  25. When in doubt, make more Epics and write a story about them. -An excerpt from Voidus' How to be an insane Epic collector vol. 3.14
