He doesn't spend time aged to store in his Atiumminds, if he was really storing in them then he'd be a 1000 year old skeleton not a slightly older man, he has to during that time still be tapping like 980 years worth of youth still. As for being less enamored with it I disagree greatly, it's used to provide the two abilities that really set him apart, longevity and infinite healing. Other than that he's mostly just a powerful Mistborn, scary sure but not something you'd call a sliver of god, with them he's an immortal who has lived for over a millennium.

This is a perfect time to plug my Epic!Megamind again: Backtrack may have powers given by calamity but there's nothing Epic about him. What's the difference?
-
Speaking of fractions I'm interested in how the Financier would treat 1/7th fractions, would he hate the fact that the One was in it? Or would he be happy that it shows one in a position of triumph, standing over seven?
-
Ok, you have 1/8 of a High Epic in your city But I guess we can say you get at least 1 anyway.
-
You can indeed, any preferences? Brisbane, Darwin, Hobart and the capital of Canberra are all still available.

It didn't kill him instantly but he was still dead as soon as he lost the bracers, he can't undo what's been done, he was already reverting to his natural state, however long it takes to completely revert it would take just as long for the tapping to take effect once again. You'll notice he also didn't use Allomancy in that scene too, he's not avoiding feruchemy because he hates it or distrusts it (Indeed the power he's desperately trying to retrieve is feruchemical, it's where most of his more dramatic abilities come from) he's not using any powers because he was just murdered and he knows it, he's not thinking rationally.

Because he doesn't need to, he had the upper hand on Vin the entire time to such a degree that she was barely worth noticing, and this is Vin, one of the strongest Mistborn to exist since the days of Lerasium. As for why he didn't use it once his bracers were removed, he was dead the second his Atiumminds were removed from his body, his body relapsed to its natural state, it doesn't matter how much you increase your speed if you're already 900 years dead. Yes he's arrogant and probably wouldn't treat Vasher as a threat, though he would notice Nightblood pretty much straight away, but with good reason, Vasher really can't do anything to hurt him, he's immortal. Unless Vasher gets an incredibly lucky hunch that he really should remove those bracers then he's toast. With either his Allomancy or feruchemy he could kill Vasher a thousand times before the latter could reach for Nightblood, with both he could kill Vasher along with an army of lifeless soldiers even if every one of them had Nightblood. Vin won through Shardic intervention and an insane amount of luck, without one at the least and preferably both Vasher just doesn't stand a chance.

I definitely plan on giving one of my Australian Epics a weakness of spiders so that'll be fun too. Any idea where you want to be based? Or if you'd rather be in a city held by another player or rule your own?

Dual wielding shardblades and honorblades (spoilers)
Voidus replied to NathanielHellman's topic in Stormlight Archive
You did indeed, the one Dalinar had was different from the one described as Taln's earlier. And now no one knows where the real one is.- 31 replies

The IndestructibleBeard has a beard which is indestructible and ReverseCyclops has the ability to shoot lasers from other objects into his eyes. Now quake in terror mortals! Well I did mention that I have cousins in Perth, I'm happy to RP as a minor Epic living in their house. And don't worry, I definitely wouldn't use that Epic to sabotage your war efforts. EDIT: Some are in a google doc here somewhere, I'll try to find a link. Most are in an assortment of word docs on my various computers.

How do you mean? They'd still have interactions inside of their own city, that's one reason I'm hoping we can get a few more players and double up on players for each city to provide some more character interaction. Alternatively I suppose players can rule one city but have lesser Epics in other cities for interaction. Forget the armies I'm just looking forward to finally filling an entire city with Epics. Since I realized that the MEE was way larger than it had any right to be I've tried to hold back on introducing new characters to it unless necessary but now I can finally unleash a few hundred Epics from my files. Australia shall never be the same once I have unleashed the likes of the IndestructibleBeard, Naturopod, Shovelface and ReverseCyclops

Possibly, not really sure how hard and rules based we'll go, I'm pretty open to ideas on the subject if anyone has any. Essentially I'm just hoping for something with a fixed pace.

Yeah the latter. Write by the seat of our pants? Not sure how it'll work out, it's mostly just a test to see how a RP with a bit more fixed rules might go, so the structure, rules and time ratio will probably change as we figure out problems. But also it'll probably have a bit of a different focus, more large scale conflicts, some battles between regular soldiers, perhaps some Epics hiding in the ranks to help turn the tide. So basically I have no idea. But I wouldn't be here if I was sane would I?

Something else I was just contemplating, should we give it a different title than just 'What Happened in Australia'? I was thinking it might help emphasize the separate nature of it from the WHIO RP's. Maybe, depends how many people sign up at the start, WA is like half the country after all It's been held up a bit while we try to test out some more action outside the arena, sometimes people can't write for a while and it can hold things up a bit, it's also still trying to find enough momentum to get the overall plot moving since it's the newest thread. I'm hoping to push it into more motion now that we have another enthusiastic player though.

Sure can, So that's: Adelaide-Voidus Perth-Mr.Mistborn Melbourne-Blackhoof Sydney-Venture Canberra could be either held by another player or else is either destroyed or also ruled by either Blackhoof or Venture, so that leaves Brisbane, Darwin and Hobart, with potentially some other players in smaller cities if needed or we can double up and have cities ruled by multiple players. So anyone else want to lay claim to a large swathe of spider-infested land from down under?

If Nightblood stabbed the metalmind that might work, not if it just stabbed him, he uses the Investiture as quickly as he gets it, there's no moment for Nightblood to start tapping it. Plus even if it could he taps far more than Nightblood uses. Plus if he has any Aluminium he might just be able to disintegrate Nightblood as soon as it enters him. Which would be very bad. Or hell, as soon as Nightblood enters him he could burn it, not only destroying Nightblood but gaining god only knows what powers in the process. Trying to go up against TLR is basically suicide, Vin got insanely lucky, had help from a Shard, was being set up to become a Shard and had a hell of a lot of information about TLR to puzzle out exactly how to defeat him.
-
Not sure what you mean? Yeah that's why I was thinking it'd just be the one, perhaps someone with Blinks power to open portals rather than just a teleporter and they kind of just play all the sides.
-
It is excellent fun, I occasionally hold mock-mental battles where I decide who'd win out of a given pair, Jedi who can open doors without touching them, or Utility who can merge spoons and forks together and create the almighty Spork!
-
Don't forget if you ever need any ideas I have over 100 pages of them
-
Ok, any idea on what the timescale should be? 1:2 days 1:7 days? I'm used to the other RPs somewhat freer relationship with time so not sure what would be a good ratio. So so far it'll be: Adelaide: Voidus Perth: Mr.Mistborn And I think I'll throw at least one of my teleporting Epics in as a sort of freelancer so that the cities have a means of transport

"Stop tumbling forward at an average rate of once every 2.345 seconds! Only I the mightiest of all Epics shall rule you!"

Now where's a country with far apart cities and lots of open space to maneuver armies... Well Twi's approved of WHIA and I agree with her on keeping in separate from Oregon, the Australians already sent to Astoria shouldn't be a problem since IIRC they were based in central Australia and basically no one lives there so there wouldn't have been much interaction anyway. So unless there are any objections from anyone I guess those interested in participating should start talking about plans, eg. what the time ratio will be, whose ruling where, etc.

Awakened anything doesn't have much of a chance, even without using Iron or steel he can compound strength and speed, the second that Vasher took any actions against him (Which he could just heal from anyway) he could tap enough speed to tear Vashers head off before the latter could do anything about it. He's basically immortal, other than getting rid of his metalminds (Which I doubt Vasher would know to do) I'm not sure it's even remotely possible to kill him. Pull Kredik Shaw on him and he can just turn into the hulk and throw it back at you. Even stabbing him repeatedly with Nightblood might not actually kill him.
