After reading the notes of David Charleston the notes of Nathan Sperry turned out to be somewhat of a disappointment, albeit a hilarious one.
-
I wouldn't want anymore characters but I like the idea.
-
Nope, he's done that with a Full Lashing but not a Reverse Lashing.
-
Which is sort of the opposite of what my usual process is, where I give someone what I think is a crappy power but it turns out is really strong unless you add a bunch of riders to it.

The number of falling anvils in Portland is about to rise dramatically. Indeed it is. I saw it once while I was getting lunch and thinking about Epics and thought it would be an awesome name, took me a while to come up with a power for it. He very nearly had the power to know when a car was approaching and look both ways before crossing the street.

I wouldn't mind, I had some plans with an Epic sniper from the MEE and Murphy, just to add some Wile E Coyote style antics And I did want to use Streetwise before Jo claimed him, who doesn't want an Epic named after a cheap meal from KFC?

It's worth noting that when Vin tried with Sazed's ring I'm pretty sure it doesn't mention that her allomantic reserves grew at all, not conclusive since she might not have mentioned it but I'm in agreement with Kaymyth here. TLR was the one who needed to discover the art of compounding so I can see him needing to 'practice' it for a while before he figured it all out but anyone who knows the theory behind it really shouldn't have any difficulty. Other than my mentioned theory that I think Inquisitors may have had trouble because they've received feruchemy hemalurgically I just don't see any problems with just being able to do it. Vin could clearly sense the other power-source, it seemed that the only bar to her accessing it was that it wasn't tied to her identity.

Sorry to see you go Jo, hope we'll see you around and that everything clears up.

You can't not stay near it, they have to be in constant contact with the object to produce the Lashing. And unlike regular arrows or spears a Mistborn pushed coin has a constant force acting on it from the Mistborn so it's only going to keep accelerating. Plus they can push or pull on it again as much as needed so once it's hit the ground/whatever the Windrunner is Reverse Lashing they can just pull it back up again.

So why exactly is Nightblood so stupendously overpowered?
Voidus replied to kroen's topic in Warbreaker
Well Honorblades also bestow Surges upon their wielder so that's a cool thing. And we don't know what they're capable of when wielded by an actual Herald. But yeah it's mostly what others have said, it's a matter of concentration. So much Investiture was shoved into Nightblood that it's kindof insane. -
Re read the last page of Portland and noticed that nearly an entire page is taken up by Rays icon Might want to shrink it down a bit in future Edge.

The problem with using the reverse lashing is that you have to be touching whatever you're using it on, so you're going to be pulling a bunch of metal right towards you, which is not a great idea against a Mistborn since they could then just pull it right through you.

It provides help from other forms of cognitive manipulation (Though we're not entirely sure how Soulcasting works on living beings, Jasnah seemed pretty sure it would work but could a strong-willed person resist it?) But just generally Soulcasting is a good weapon against Mistborn, Soulcast any metal in the area into stone or something to deprive them of weapons and if necessary just Soulcast the air around them into fire since they don't have much in the way of defense against that kind of an attack.
-
Either of the orders with Soulcasting could probably do it, it's essentially an instant-kill (Though we have no way of knowing how it would interact with someone like a Mistborn/whether copper could block it) but yeah I'd bank on a Lightweaver being able to win.

Pewter seems pretty equivalent with most other physical-attribute enhancing abilities, the only exception being healing but then when you do use allomantic power for healing (Through compounding) it seems to be faster and more efficient than pretty much any other method of healing in the cosmere. Maybe Dhakor have better durability but that's about it. And other than that I can't think of any comparisons to make. So yeah, you don't need Duralumin to match other magic systems, duralumin is a nice ace in the hole though, allowing you to completely change a fight and hardly dangerous to use (Particularly against non-allomancers who neither understand your abilities nor can tell when you're using Duralumin) Since you're only burning it for a second it barely provides an opening at all and that 'opening' is when you're using your abilities to your strongest, you may have to stop steelpushing to take advantage of duralumin fueled pewter but that's not much of an opening since while you're doing so you're a few dozen times stronger and tougher than normal. And I don't even want to venture a guess as to what you could achieve by using Duralumin on feruchemical stores if you're a full metalborn.

Well I hope Arsenal's not there personally because if she did at the moment and an Epic was around she'd likely just try to murder them and the Dalles losing one or both of their key creation-Epics would be a problem.
-
Sadly since she is currently lacking an awesome pet Scribbler needs to rely on more normal means of recovery after a full night of working so she's not likely to be up and about anytime soon unless someone wakes her.
-
I don't see a full Metalborn losing to anyone, you could combine pretty much every other power in the cosmere and I still don't think that would do it. TLR only died because he was basically already 1000 years overdue for death. (And because Vin is a prophesied savior with the help of a Shard)

So we need a good thing to happen to test this hypothesis? How soon can Shiny escort Lord Dupin to his new home?

Reaching to one side, Cornucopia caught a water bottle that was dropped into her waiting hand. A tendril from a vine retreated back out the window, it's job now done. She undid the lid and used the bottles contents to wash the blood that had managed to get in her hands. Her dress was already hopelessly stained with blood, dust and pieces of viscera but that would have to wait til later. But this was not the time or place for a woman of her standing to change. She'd separated from Atrophy some time ago, the man had seemed to have a morbid fascination with dissecting the creatures. Cornucopia enjoyed tearing the things to pieces but she did not enjoy looking at the finished product. The creatures had been infuriatingly tight-lipped, neither reacting in obvious pain nor divulging any kind of information whatsoever. It seemed all they were good for was killing and dissecting as Atrophy was doing. "Let him do what he wants with the rest." She told a soldier who she'd been using as an attendant. "If they haven't said anything yet they're unlikely to do so. Just keep one aside in case one of the other Queens gets curious." The soldier saluted and marched away to carry her instructions to the others nearby. Ah what has the city gotten itself into now? Cornucopia longed to return to her arboretum, her revenge had been unsatisfying to say the least, she would not feel true satisfaction until she caught the Epic responsible and showed him a few of the techniques she'd used on his underlings. Unfortunately it seemed they had failed on that front too, the Epic had slipped through their clutches, apparently having killed himself rather than be captured. Between this new Epic's arrival and attacks and the disappearance of Euphoria the city was indeed in trouble. Luckily they still had the bubble to protect them and trap any Epics inside but they'd have to stop the daily influx of new citizens for that to truly be effective. A situation Rainmaker no doubt wanted to avoid. "Caught between a rock and a hard place." She muttered to herself, shaking her head. Well for now there was little to be done but wait around until any further developments happened, she could leave for the Arboretum but if anything happened in the city she'd be too far out to respond then. "Why has no one set up appropriate refreshments yet?" She demanded loudly, sending the nearby civilians and soldiers into a flurry of activity.

So I'm noticing a bit of a pattern here. Latest Cornucopia post: Cornucopia tears someones insides apart with a rosebush. 10 Upvotes. My most popular Wastelands post, Jefferson is forcibly taken from his pregnant wife, chained up in a dungeon and has his body slowly liquefied after being given healing abilities so it doesn't kill him. He then prays for death. 6 Upvotes. Why do people like me torturing characters?
-
DA and Edgedancer get my votes then.

Jealous of Steelhearts sparkly abs? Or of getting a post up?
-
Anyone know how to exorcise evil spirits? That's the only possible explanation here.
