  1. I was assuming that the reason he didn't look like an Elantrian is the same reason he couldn't use Aons, he's too far away from Elantris to even have the passive Elantrian abilities.
  2. Well as was mentioned the arena matches are probably closed for the day and it's usually organized in the mornings so he'd need to wait for tomorrow if he wanted to be in the arena (And that only if he didn't try to terrify the whole town in the middle of the night) But other than those limitations it also depends how he acts, Soulcaster's not particularly likely to let a dream manipulator into the Arena if he knows that's what he is, he'd be more likely to try to trap that Epic outside of his body and kill him.
  3. And technically Seons aren't splinters, the Aons at their center are. So the splinters might grant sentience but are not necessarily sentient in and of themselves.
  4. Waiting on Venture to get a post up for the non-arena plots to move forward, not sure how long night time will be after that.
  5. Almost makes me wish I'd made the Adventurer a gifter so he could have an NPC follower.
  6. Nope. There can be only one Nighthound and preferably none.
  7. No but if anyone suggested it to him he'd probably like the idea.
  8. Yup, he frequently does things like that, particularly in matches where they otherwise wouldn't get a great view like mazes and such.
  9. Did we ever decide on the state of Oregon outside of the cities? Or about the outer suburbs of Portland? Because Neverthere's new base is in Pine St, Lake Oswego which I thought was still inside the city but apparently it is not. So yeah, thoughts?
  10. Well since Lightwards was busy when they arrived I kinda played with time a bit so they arrive when he's free. But now that they'll probably have to just accompany Lightwards back down anyway I guess it doesn't matter. Or they might just ignore everyone and start setting aside some space for a lab.
  11. Guess the Carlisles left the entranceway in search of Lightwards or Funtimes then
  12. I think you would actually, from the latest WoB on Steelrunning and how it kind of rendered zinc useless.
  13. descent* Nighthound is never decent.
  14. As MVs writer I should probably say definitely, definitely not, but as someone who likes to keep it moving forwards I'll say it has my approval.
  15. So now we have two new additions to Autumn's 'not an Epic' family. Their Epic versions follow Iriswoods Primary Power: Can send her spirit into any plant-life within a 10km radius, allowing her to see what is happening around the tree she projects into. Secondary Power: Disorientation- can manipulate peoples sense of direction, causing them to wander endlessly in circles. Tertiary power: Mist production, can cause a deep mist or fog to descend upon her forest. Magnoliaharpist Primary power: Serenity manifestation- creates a spreading area of flower and grass-carpeted ground, this is usually accompanied by soft harp music. Secondary power: Botanokinesis- can manipulate the flowers growth, causing them to produce a variety of pollens which can produce effects ranging from a mild sedative to a drug-induced coma to straight up poisoning people.
  16. 1- There's some crossover but not alot, mostly between the Dalles and portland so no you don't need to read all threads though you can if you want, they're all pretty awesome. 2- No non-unique powers are fine, in fact we probably need more of them. But if you're ever stuck for ideas I have a massive list of ideas here. 3- People will generally tell you if they really need you to write but otherwise it'll be pretty obvious, someones character will ask your character a question or do something that your character needs to respond to.
  17. Sounds like a relative of Autumn's "Hi I'm Magnolia Harpist, not an Epic."
  18. 3 new RPers in as many minutes? We're going to need new threads at this rate. New Streetwise/MV posts up, still trying to find Streetwise's character since Jo didn't give him many viewpoints, but I'll work it out.
  19. Streetwise sat in his chair, idly examining his city, his mind drifting from place to place as he tried to gauge the cities mood as a whole. He hadn't been allowed to Upgrade yet this morning so he was restricted to one place at a time. He longed to have that power again but he did have to admit, searching this way was certainly more relaxing, rather than having to sort through an entire cities worth of information all he had to do was- He cocked his head curiously for a moment. Something inside the Dominions base was... off. He hadn't even meant to search there but his thoughts on Upgrade had pulled his mind towards the location and there he noticed something. Someone was inside one of the walls. They felt different than how people normally felt, somehow insubstantial. An immaterial Epic? Or a projector? Either way it was dangerous. "The boss will definitely want to hear about this." He mused, rising out of his seat to tell him, hoping that his prestige would range even higher from this latest discovery. He had been embarrassed yesterday by not noticing the Reckoners cell inside his own city but he would show the Boss that Streetwise knew everything. Just as he reached for the door it opened, one of the toy soldiers entered the room and informed him that Corpsemaker was summoning everyone anyway. Perfect chance, now they'll all see how useful I am. MV walked along the streets with Backtrack, they'd had to abandon the car once the streets began to fill with people. Most people in Portland just didn't drive anymore and so the streets were used freely by pedestrians. The shadow of the giant floating museum shaded her face as they reached it, she shuddered as she remembered what had happened last time she had entered and her hand fluttered at her side as though to grab Backtracks but she brought it back and held it stiffly. What are you doing Megan? Her inner voice scolded. He's just an idiot with some useless powers and besides what would he think of you if you just grabbed his hand because you were scared of another Epic, that's so pathetic. Her only response to her inner voice, sounding as always like Impact scolding her, was a groan as she realized something. "Neither of us have a way to get up there." MV pointed out as she and Backtrack stopped beneath the museum. The giant diamond structure from the day before was gone and that shadow Epic wasn't here to make a lift either. "Great plan." She said, glancing sideways at Backtrack before punching him in the shoulder. "I don't suppose you have any ideas?" He looked at her somewhat bewildered. Huh, his eyes are different without the glasses. Kind of cute. But the glasses were cool. MV realized where her train of thought was going and shut her mouth as her now almost ever-present blush crept up on her again. Stupid!
  20. Windrunner was the only one on at the time IIRC so it was probably him. Why I don't know but oh well On the Batman Toy front I actually really like that idea and as a potential suggestion what if he started regaining 'memories' and personality of Batman once he's been resurrected. Epic power interactions can produce some weird effects so I think it's within the realms of justification.
  21. Well of the three known current types of Shardblades (Sprenblades, Honourblades and Nightblood) only one is confirmed to be a spren, one is specifically stated by a knowledgable character to not be a spren and one is at best technically similar to a spren. So saying that Honourblades = Shardblades implies that Honourblades=Spren is not very well substantiated. I also doubt that Honour could compel an AdonalsiumSpren to help him.
  22. Well I imagine that given all the effects of steel what's actually being stored is something more akin to your temporal momentum, it's not just your faster muscle fibers since a) it doesn't deflate you when storing like pewter does and that doesn't explain the bullet time. So I imagine that it wouldn't matter whether or not you're moving, time would just seem to be going a lot faster, so personal cadmium wheras tapping it is personal Bendalloy.
  23. Celebration usually entails applause. No one can applaud when they're too busy clenching their fists and hoping they can punch Reader.
  24. And Kipper is still trolling.
